Thank you for this comparison! I was disappointed you didn't compare the macro pictures though. I was most interested to see that. In my country, the Note 9s (6GB RAM) is just a hundred bucks cheaper than the Note 9 Pro.
Sorry about that. But the macro cameras are same. The only difference you'll find is from the main camera where the Pro is 64MP and the S is 48MP

NFC is really important to me as I use an NFC headphones. I am considering picking it up.

It's just another form of wireless connectivity. The most it's being used for is wireless payments. It can also be used to share files. A lot of regions don't use wireless payments/tap to pay so unless you have specific use of NFC, aside the tap to pay (device acts like a credit card), Wi-Fi connection does everything else NFC can do and Wi-Fi has longer range
The cameras are different bro, those subtle changes are very much visible to me, better color rendition also
I mentioned that the 9 Pro has slightly better dynamic range especially noticeable on the rear camera

Based on what I can see they are a lot similar and as you have said there is no need to go for the pro if you are a "basic user" since you will be getting virtually same specs apart from 2 or 3 exemptions and it's going to be cheaper 😉

There is a Redmi Note 9 version that has its camera on the top left side of the screen and another note 9 version whose camera is at the top center. What are their names please? I saw them both labeled as Note 9s on Jumia Nigeria

The Note 9 Pro in this video is same as the Note 9 Pro Max in India and the Note 9s is the same as Note 9 Pro in India.

No app necessary. Just press and hold the homescreen then go to the homescreen settings, you'll be able to choose your home screen style either with app drawer or not

Is the Redmi note 9s good for a heavy gamer comparing it to Samsung s8
For a heavy gamer I'd say the Redmi Note 9s should do fairly well compared to the S8. While the S8 has a flagship processor, it's a 4 year old processor and may likely be either on par or slightly less than the one on the Redmi. The S8 should have better graphics performance though
The Redmi also has a bigger battery to go with it. But this is just speculation as I don't have both devices on hand for a comparison.

Twitter works smooth. I've not really used an iPhone for comparison but it works with no lag.

Yea they are smooth. It has a powerful processor and with 6GB RAM it can pretty much handle any app you throw at it

Near Field Communication.
Mostly used for contactless payments. Can also be used for file sharing between very close devices. But people barely use it for that as WiFi sharing seems easier to use.

There are hardly any portable phones these days. I'd say look at the Samsung Galaxy A31 but its processor is not as powerful as the Redmi Note 9s. If you're not much into mobile gaming I'd say go for the A31

I'd say you can't go wrong with either. Down to which design you prefer. The Note 9s will be heavier though. But performance wise they're close, and as personal preference for the Snapdragon processor I'll pick the 9s

They are thesame phones with thesame displays none is sharper than the other. The only difference between both phones is the Pro having a 64mp camera, NFC and 33w charging. No difference in display

Note 9 pro is awesome...the only downside of this device is it doesn't have an amoled display
You've said it all! I switched back to using the Galaxy A31 today and I won't lie to you, it felt like a huge upgrade even though the Redmi had the better specifications and build quality. The Amoled on the A31 just made everything better
@@izziboyei switched from galaxy A70 to redmi note 9 pro and everything is an upgrade aside from the display...the difference in display just pops out especially when you've used an amoled screen before.
Not like the IPS display is horrible..but the amoled is just better to be honest.
I would have preferred they added maybe 40$ more to the phone price and made it an amoled display😪
IPS displays are good. Lol and they're better than TFT in my opinion. But if you're already used to amoled you will miss it when you switch. Also another reason why the A31 felt better in user experience was the fluidity and lightweight of One UI which could be probably because I'm used to it and like it better. But yeah, the Redmi Note 9s and Pro have way better specs and build quality

I do miss the One UI though but from what I've seen online, the upcoming MIUI 12 is quite awesome. Fingers crossed 🤞🏽
