This is good advice. She does not have to leave right away . She is in a good position. Starting a business myself, but leaving my job is not an option
I feel her pain 😞 I want to quit this job so I can do my own thing but it’s hard with no support and having to look for another job that can potentially be just as depressing
I like his advice because he isn’t quick to tell someone their dreams are impossible. I think it also allows a person to experience first hand the reality of entrepreneurship, which in reality is not as easy as it seems. However,I would also encourage people to go after what they truly want since what holds us back from trying is fear about so many aspects of that change!
I think for some, the guilt also comes from a sense of selfishness. To be fair, it is a selfish move, by definition. However, not all selfish moves are bad or unjustified.
I feel emotionally connected to my job and my boss. and am heavily appreciated. Just accepted a counter off to stay at my current position. But the job that reached out to me initially came back with an offer 30k more what I'm making now.. I feel like i HAVE to leave just based off the salary. I just feel so bad leaving my job and my company when I know I really shouldn't..
Lol 😂 you are special. For 30k forget about my company I’ll leave my family behind too . You just feel way too comfortable in your job and you are confusing that with being appreciated. If they really appreciated you they would have paid you more before anyone else snatch you up. Time to rock the boat .
I know the feeling, but at the end of the day you got to do the best for you
They’re a saying that goes like this : “ don’t be sorry for them because they won’t be sorry for you. “

Try not to feel too bad. At the end of the day they will find someone to fill your slot right away. 30k more is a significant amount.

Should I quit my job, lose my income and start an unproven business while burning through savings?
Really stupid.
smarter to ask than to jump into it
