Lety Ca It’s a Viva smooth paper towel and no it wasn’t frozen. I let the icing set for a few minutes so that it dries a bit before applying the paper towel to smooth it
Is that a crusting buttercream? How do y’all transfer such a big cake without it sliding? I’ve had the problem of my frosting moving a little bit at the very bottom of my cake.
Maggie C Yes it is a crusting buttercream and even though you don’t see it in this video there are dowels within each tier. Then after it’s all stacked I hammer a wooden skewer though the center of the cake through all three tier. I have other videos hat show me measuring the dowels and stacking cakes.

I really love the beautiful simplicity of this cake it’s just stunning but I was surprised to see her use her fone whilst icing the cake.
