Hello MilkyBokiTan! I had a cat who also had chronic kidney disease. With regular treatments and care, he lived to the ripe old age of 21 years old. GB is in loving hands, and the kind of treatment he can get nowadays is more advanced. I'm sure GB has many more years of love to give and to receive from you. 💜
What kind of treatments and care did you give him ?
It's good that your cat lived so long. I had a cat with chronic kidney disease too, but she died last year at eight years old. It was so hard for me. The cat I have now suffers from acute kidney disease, so I'm still scared for her.
@@SleeplessinOC Nowadays there are medicated foods or if you want a balanced natural diet, with the help of a veterinary nutritionist. Supplements that help with the kidneys and more "natural" medications. Also, hydration with serums and wet food.

Claire has been taking TT and Lulu out and about on a few trips lately, but not a good idea to bring cats into other cats territories without a lot of preparation and an introduction period of days in some cases.

I had a small dog that had chronic kidney failure. She was diagnosed at 9 and I kept her on a very low protein diet. At 18+ she was tired and in pain, but never did her kidneys fail. I had to have her put to sleep because of all the old age pain. But I think 18 is pretty long for an animal with chronic kidney failure. Love, prayers and best wished from N Carolina, USA
