I've never seen the bluecoats change up their music within shows that fast....... Let's see what the remix will look like after the southern championship........
@@ginocalipo one change i just noticed was during dymaxion at 10:48 , after the trumpet solo their movements are different. they like kinda turn their bodies and head instead of the synchronized crouching they were doing before.
People hating in the comments hard lmao 😂 This right here are your DCI CHAMPIONS PERIOD!!! As a bluecoat alumni from the early 2000’s, I appreciate where they are taking the sport. Just like how the Blue Devils went through an ERA of changing and progressing the activity
@@jackwong2917 if BD cleans up their percussion and brass then I think they have a shot at beating boston. Boston is really clean in percussion already and is going to keep improving in brass for sure. Overall though I think BD's show gives them a potential to score higher than Boston, it's just a matter of whether they can do it in time or not. And yes I agree, 96 is a bit unrealistic of a score for them unless someone's trumpet explodes at finals or the whole battery trips over each other
@@bibir_beni maybe once crown makes all the new things they've added sound as good as the rest of the show, but I still see Phantom pretty much set on 5th place. I do think once Crown gets to their full potential they will either get 1st or 2nd in brass
@@superleekegshoondinovevo6998 I agree with the opinion, but I'm sure it's hard for the Devils to shine with the crowd always being a plus point for them. I'm sorry, but the crowd is crucial for their performance. On the other hand, as someone who has no connection to the Devils, I was really disappointed with their performance. The director's decision to use dull-colored flags during the ballads really detracted from the performance. Despite the magical arrangement and execution, the lack of energy from the flag colors made the performance fall flat. Why didn't they use much more vibrant and colorful pink gradients to create a powerful, romantic atmosphere? I feel really sorry for the kids.
There's a lot of phenomenal footwork in this recording that I hadn't noticed on earlier recordings. I can't wait to see what they do with the finale because this is definitely definitely definitely not the final version.
Potentially never - the designers haven’t been big fans of the corps saying bloo in the design of most recent shows but have let it go on reluctantly for traditions sake
This comment reminded me of the awesome slow movement of the Cavaliers' show, Frameworks. It was awesome how they used the acoustics for a really cool effect.
I don't get this show. It has a fantastic beginning and then I lose interest. It meanders and doesn't have real direction, and yet, it's getting high scores. I just don't get it.
Ineffective visual (marching and color guard) for the music. Meaningless long percussion breaks. Hopping around, running around, why did one group run off while others are marching and prancing? It's just a visual mess. Audio ... meh. DCI has become one long "DCI ending" with super fast percussive breaks.Crowd sits there bored until a big note is hit. Another percussive break, nobody claps. Underwhelming. Music unrecognizable ... random mess.
I respect your passion for a good dci show 😂. I’m newer to dci so I find simple things like basic synchronization and loud noises fascinating, but I bet it gets frustrating for veterans. But hey, “change is everything” after all 😉
@@ElPinguino456 LOL ... I played tenors. Drumlines today are ineffective because of the writing. As I've said before, if a DCI corps today had to play the National Anthem, the drumline would be triple timing it ramming as many notes and as fast they could.
@@doubledanman DCI had a style a genre of its own. It is the same like rock is genre, jazz etc.etc. You can't change rock and say it's rock when it isn't rock. Evolution is ok. But you've killed what made DCI great. You've killed that X factor. Corps had different styles and sound. Some played classical , jazz, some current, but you could understand the music and where it was going and how the different parts worked with one another. Now everyone sounds the same. Look theatrical. It's not theater. Corps members look ridiculous "acting" on a football field. There's no more marching and evolving large forms which coordinate and relate to the music. The whole thing is a mess. And I know that's hard to hear because you're out there working your ass off. The quest to please the judges and win is what's killed DCI. Period. End of conversation. Hope you have a good weekend.
@@JohnSmith-zi9or I think I can see where you’re coming from. I’m curious then, what is the most recent dci production that you believe has that X factor (even if it is super long ago). I want to watch it so I can truly understand what you’re saying
I disagree, there’s still the possibility of a new ending that’ll probably be fielded after San Antonio. Either way, I think this show is much more interesting than BD’s which is quite linear in comparison.

What changed in the music for Denton?
@@porchland haven’t you read their show title? The change was everything 😯
this is such a marvelous piece, eardrums are rejoicing to the sounds and my cornea is gobsmacked. much appreciated
Even with the one chord in the opener with half the brass coming in a quarter of a count late they still nailed it
Thank you for the video. I didn’t appreciate from other videos how much movement there is throughout the show. An outstanding show it is.
That’s your 2024 DCI winner right there . No one will beat that drill. Amazing stuff
Just hit the 90s!

Just give them the GOLD, this show made them score 90s can’t imagine how far will they make in final night. I bet it will be 98s go blooooooo!!!
I say at finals at Lucas Oil Stadium top 3
1 Bluecosts 98.567
2 Boston 97.565
3 Blue Devils 96.567

dymaxion sounded _very_ tight. loved it!
i wonder when they will say bloo
when they win the Gold at dci finals

It’s normally always at the end of the opener or first act.
Definitely deserved the win last night. Incredible show. So precise. The moments of silence make it powerful.
8:54 “yes”
Also 10:24 those trombone pedals are PHAT
Unreal amazing unreal
An outstanding performance in all aspects! Well done, Bluecoats.
dis their year fsfs
im gonna cry when i see this at finals
I know it’s a drum feature. But horns should really be blasting the stands for that amen chord at the end of the opening drum feature.
I wish everyone wouldn’t cheer after a hit or after something grand cause they don’t even get to savor the sound or resonance

thank you dandan
I was here :D also got a hat
Foreplay Boston? Intro?
yeah it's part of the repertoire for this show! i was so surprised when i saw them announce it, and it sounds so good as an opener
"English or Spanish"😭💀
That flag feature is awesome! I wonder if it's a Cadets ('92) tribute.
seems like a sequel to downside up, as far as design.
Lots of kinetic noise in the ballad and overall soundscape.

Once they adjust the guard and percussion a little (since they been placing low on those two categories) it will definitely be a wrap
