I feel like this challenge could be interesting even for people who play normally - Let me explain: A lot of Rein players have a tendency to shielding too much and not swinging enough, they basically play in a passive way which then become a play style and block them for climbing in ranked. In that case, removing the shield can actually help these rein players to improve in a sense that they are forced to swing more and play a lot more with their surroundings (walls, corners…) - It can also help them to improve on positioning themselves. (Not to mention that not having shield can force Rein players to rely more on their fire strikes and their accuracy)
Couldn't of said it better. This challenge already fits my playstyle perfectly though I think I could still improve from this experience. It's gonna be a challenging journey thats for sure.

There's so many other ways to get close and do damage besides "Hold shield and walk forwards". The advantage to using these alterative methods is that, if you do need your shield once you're up close, it's usually at full charge.
LH Cloudy has already done it. He actually got top50 with no shield. edit: not top 50 but he did hit GM. Look up LH Cloudy no shield you can find it. It was a completely different game back then though and champion is going to be extremely hard to get no shield. Good luck with this challenge I'll be excited to see if it's actually possible.

@@Mhippz I’ve gotten it with multiple challenges, and gotten top 50 almost every season for the past few years, this is the hardest challenge yet but it’s maybe doable, my general play style is exactly this, pinning back lines and trading to make space.
