i used to goto this place alot, however a few weeks ago i went and the starters were coldish and some items were missing, i did notice that everything looked fresh and lots of food in your video! but maybe that is just a video stunt because there didnt seem too many people around and usually they dont put that much food out when there isnt many people there.
It used to be my goto place for a buffet but like i said last 2 times the standard has dropped and the prices have increased.
Oh no! Give them another go and see how you feel
I've been going to Al-Maidah for a number of years and it's definitely mine and my families favourite buffet, however I went there last month with friends and although it was good it wasn't great on this particular visit, however as I've been a few times and the standard is generally always consistently good I'm not going to hold this particular visit against them, also I'll be visiting again in May for my son's 13th as this is the place he wants to go!!!
That’s it, sometimes places make mistakes but if they are rare I never hold it against them. Good on you for going again

Have to say Ali when ever i fancy a Buffet with the Fam Al Maida is the go to place.. The best in Manchester and the variety of food is great plus the atmosphere is much more relaxed than Nawab.. Great Vid Great Choice. I’m Actually gonna give you a Heyman 😁😂😂

£19 per person. Ali doesn't mention price in his videos because prices can change so doesn't want to say £X for something in a video and then we go along and its no longer that price

I really like Al maida been there a few times I gotta say I love the doughnuts there something really different

What’s cost per head?
In Buffet, never go for the cheap stuff. Go straight for the Main, the starters are oily, heavy and stodgy and could you fill you up sooner than you would want
Food looks banging!!! Are those desserts mostly from Pakistan? I’ve never tried the thing that looks like rice pudding
They have a good mix as there are western desserts too tbh. Try the rice pudding, it’s called kheer and it’s delicious

@@HEYMANFOODREVIEWS and I know what you mean about poppadoms. I used to go into my local Indian restaurant when I was a student and just ask for a bag of poppadoms, much to the amusement of my housemates who used to say, "Jez has entered the land of Poppadomia again."

We went last weekend but was disappointed the biryani was cold. Haleem was tasteless will stick to nawaabs in future.

How much was it? The al-maidah website doesn't give prices. I'll be cycling from Knutsford so don't want to get there and find it's £50!
The pricing is relatively cheaper in places such as Nawab
Al maida is the best buffet. Used to love kareems it was cheap and cheerful but sadly it shut down.
I’ve never been to Kareems, a lot of these buffets can’t survive :(
