- I step off the narrowboat for a canal towpath walk on a misty icy cold morning. Beautiful sunrise and sunset with tranquil, relaxing music & mindfulness talk.
The Journey started here... I once lived in the fast lane of life, happily married of 26 years, with two children. That chapter was suddenly shattered by the sudden loss of my wife to cancer, which led me in to depression and homelessness. Waking up in hospital, after attempting to take my own life, with just a suitcase, kayak and bicycle and no money, I've managed to rise up out of the darkness and find happiness and continue my next chapter.
I'm a self taught film maker, and creating these vlogs, it gives me something to do, share my personal experiences as I continue my journey cruising and living life on the canal. Please do consider supporting my channel below... Thank you Dave

Your words calming. Poetry. Every single shot is stunning. Every. Single. One. I am sure that if your teachers only knew what a brilliant creative artist you truly are....I was rubbish with a lot of things when I was younger, math's especially. But I could draw, I could sing pretty well, and I could write, and I loved to dance. All of that was killed most of my life by bullies, self doubt and a family who were just not there for me. I am now 60, and retiring soon.....my paints came out, that book I never finished is on the desk, and I dance and sing every day.... 😉✍💃🎼🖌 Thank you for your inspiration...

@@inspiredbynature3 we have had a part share on a boat based at Heritage Marina for ten years. We love the Macclesfield and the Peak Forest canals. I'll be on it for a week from April 4th and two weeks from June 19th. Will give you a toot if we see you. Passed you last year but all locked up. In May when we moored up near that swing bridge there was a lovely nature reserve with a meandering pathway and pockets of bluebells under all those trees, when I lost my Mum to Covid in 2020 I walked through those trees with our dog at 7am and listened to all those birds, the dappled sunlit rays shining through onto the green vibrant grass was a soothing place to remember. Dave, have you ever gone back to your art and tried painting again ?? To try a past hobby from years past does heal the mind and for me bought back the fun times I had at school which clouded the bullying I endured.... thanks for sharing. Xxx

Stunningly beautiful as always. The opening shots are absolutely amazing, they all are absolutely incredible. Our hearts certainly can miss a few beats in life (no pun intended) with everything that we experience along it's path. Quite a smile on my face with your moments in the mud and ponders in the puddles.. Our inner child is an amazing person, the kind of friend I like to meet up with quite often too😊. Isn't this a beautiful time of the year for pottering around and seeing all the new positive strides mother nature just keeps on taking...
