I work in a auto body shop. Have my flip 6 with me, in my pocket, all the time. Metal, dust, dirt, you name it my phone is tested daily to say the least ha. Only thing I've noticed is metal shavings collecting around the magnetic areas of the device. I wipe it off with a damp cloth, boom good as new. I have a cheap plastic screen protector on the front and an otterbox case. Dropped quite a few times both opened and closed. Phone still operated and looks brand new.
I switched from iPhone 13 Pro Max to this phone and honestly my ONLY complaint has been the battery life. I haven't heard any weird noises or felt anything off, I am super gentle on phones!!
you gotta give it about a week or so for it to learn your patterns! , then the battery gets a whole lot better. Also changing the refresh rate ect, improves battery, lowkey kinda overkill having it run at 120fps, when you're mostly scrolling social media, watching videos. and some(alot) games are capped at 60fps anyway, if you are gaming.
There are many ways for the battery to get improved, there are videos on UA-cam. You can make a routine etc, saving mode only when it is closed and stuff like that

I have the Flip 5. No cracking sound. I bought it last year after the Galaxy Unpacked event. No issues. It's like brand new. I use a Spigen case and a screen protector from Spigen. I love this phone. So many people have the Flip 6 and no issues, no cracking sound etc. If you don't like it, just don't buy it!!!!
I had z flip 6 too. I think the product you receive is defective one. Thats normal everywhere in phone production, you can just trade it, and see what you will get, instead of stating it as long term major problem

It is down to the awful thermals on the Galaxy Flips. Watch some YT reviews where they test the Flip6 on a sustained load and one went down to 40%. I imagine people using DeX playing games would lower that further.
They dont talk about the dust on the front of the device......dust resistance refer to the posibility of the dust getting inside the device....for example from the hinge, and affecting the inside electronics....
If you live in the UK, you'd better hope nothing goes wrong with this phone, as Samsung's after-sales and Customer Service are probably the worst in the industry.

My hinge started to make sound every time i opened it so i sent it to Samsung for repair just after 3 month of use. Samsung confirmed today that they will replace the hinge and screen.

I'm still with my flip 3...lol. Granted it is my 2nd one after a warranty replacement after a port failure about a year ago. Same crease cracking issue with the factory screen protector. I will eventually take it off. I have a girly purse/case on the phone. Debating on upgrading. The 3 is doing me just fine. I usually hold out until they stop security updates for the phone I have. I'd love to see a comparison between the first flip and where they are now with the 6.
Mine didn't say that and they had to change their stance on it as the spec indicated dust resistant and that was one of the big selling points hence the reason they changed the style how it closes
I would say the flip lasts a year before you need to replace the screen or phone itself. I've had a Flip 3, Flip 4, and just got the Flip 6. Screen messed up on me on the 3&4, and I had to replace the 4 last year. Dust, then lifting in the sides at the fold, and just had to replace my 4 with the 6 because of the screen. I love the flip, so i will continue to purchase. It is the best phone for my small hands and in general, im happy with it. Just have screen anxiety 😂. Also i feel like compared to the previous ones, it feels a little flimsy and likely to have the halves slide side to side away from each other. I miss the rubber bumpers, honestly, but we'll see what will be new next year when I have to replace it again. 😂 Despite that, I'm a big fan.
That cracking sound is true....but i had that with the zflip5 too and the zfold especially, cause the hinge is much bigger, so it cracks even more. My device is insured, so i dont care. I get a new one if something happens
From what I read the flip 6 has a built In screen protector and if it starts to mess up samsung will replace it for free the first time then 19.99 after.. And the bigger battery is probably to support the faster Processor not so much as making it last longer
Shouldn't have any major issues with this phone they've had six tries to get it right LG made one and they did it great in 2020 LG was always ahead of the curve
I have z flip 5 and I had z flip 4 and both had problems with screen protector, under less than a year after the purchase the film starts to peel off and I have to to to the service center to change it, I don't want to do it every year! I'm waiting for a major upgrade and improvement in reliability. I hope z7 or z8 will be better, the cover screen will be more useable and it'll be more durable

I am glad you point these issues out as many YT reviewers are just ignoring them. It may not change your purchase decision but it is good for potential buyers to know the full facts rather than just an ad with an affiliated link. None of the issues are deal-breakers for most, even the excessive price as most buyers are buying for the lifestyle look. I did try this for a few months but it wasn’t for me. I understood that DeX is not available due to the poor thermals. This has terrible throttling for intensive sustained use and for many DeX usage, like games it would probably be a poor user experience. Even though the Fold6 throttles badly, at least that is much larger so thermals are not as bad a the Flip6. You can buy a cheap older Galaxy S device and use that for DeX when at home.

Lifestyle for sure - for me if I was on a tight budget and could only get one id stick with smt tried and trusted - probably a last gen ultra or a one plus etc. If I'm thinking that route. I don't know what "lifestyle look" means, but I got one because with apple discontinuing their mini and building obsolescence into their software updates, I had to find a new small phone option. This has been great for me in the two weeks I've had it! I think I open it maybe 2-3 times a day and that's just to close out apps I ran from the cover screen to make sure it doesn't get sluggish or drain the battery. I'm doing 80-90% of my daily phone needs (map, audible, a few texts, alarms, banking, music) from the cover screen and LOVING such a small screen. Reminds me of my old iPhone 4S which was a perfect size. If you want to game, buy an Xbox. If you want to watch 4k movies, buy a TV. If you want to do a lot of computing on the go, buy a laptop. I don't care about throttling or Dex or whatnot because I don't run anything that overheats this puppy. It's a perfect phone *for me* and I couldn't be happier about finally making the switch to Android.

have this phone for two weeks now , and i can confirm that the battery life is dogshit ; my iphone 11 with 3700 mah is holding twice as long as the flip 6. also lots of problems with the screen making popping sound when i open/close and pressing on it. dont know about the flip 5 heat , but flip 6 is always hot even for simple apps like facebook , whatsup ,twitter , so my pocket is always sweaty.
My screen isn't cracking when I bend it. Actually there's no physical problems I've had with it. And everything has issues when it get old. So I'll leave this video for apple fans needing something to hate on.

@ 2:21 the first foldable with an official dust proof rating isnt the flip 6, but rather, the Razr+ 2023 with its IP52

have this phone for two weeks now , and i can confirm that the battery life is dogshit ; my iphone 11 with 3700 mah is holding twice as long as the flip 6. also lots of problems with the screen making popping sound when i open/close and pressing on it. dont know about the flip 5 heat , but flip 6 is always hot even for simple apps like facebook , whatsup ,twitter , so my pocket is always sweaty.
S24 plus is official better than Zflip 6😂
My screen isn't cracking when I bend it. Actually there's no physical problems I've had with it. And everything has issues when it get old. So I'll leave this video for apple fans needing something to hate on.
