@MrDagnabit, it actually is. The elvish language "quenya" was created based on finnish language, which is very, very, very similar to estonian (estonian and finnish are very closely related to each other).

Sounds like Finnish to me... I'm glad they've had success after their Eurovision thing... I kinda felt back then that they were too good for Eurovision. Still think they are. They have what a lot of the performers that go to Eurovision lack: talent.

But, because Estonian is so similar to Finnish, and the Nordic languages all influenced each other, Estonian sounds like Sindarin.

Both languages belongs to Finno-Ugrian languages (Hungarian, Sami, Mari, Komi, Udmurtian, Permi, Livonian, Karelian, Võru, etc.). However there are lot of differencies between Estonian and Finnish. Generally Estonian words are shorter than Finnish ones. Also some alphabets are different (i.e. Estonian õ).
