For what it's worth, when Stoker was researching for the Dracula novel, originally he was just going to call it "The Vampire", nosferatu was an undead creature, not necessarily a creature that drank blood. Also, while I'm at it, Stokers main character was inpired more by Elizabeth Bathory, than Vlad Tepes. He took the name Dracula which literally means son of the dragon, from Vlad, who recieved the name from his father. His father was a member of the order of the Dragon. Dad was given the nickname Vlad Dracul(Vlad Dragon). Dracula, meaning son of dragon. Stokers wife sold off his notes after he died, because she had no money, and that's where a lot of this information comes from. Stoker almost never mentions Vlad, also known as Vlad the Impaler, as an inspiration for anything other than the name. There also was a story of a gentleman vampire written by a woman years before Dracula, which also had much influence. Ok, sorry it's so long. This is a subject Im passionate about. Cheers!🎉
I am so excited to see this. The Klaus Kinski remake was amazing. His version of Dracula was the scariest of any Dracula I've seen. I'm really hoping this movie lives up to that one.
this movie was amazing. Bill Skarsgard and Lilly-Rose Depp deserve a Oscar for there performances. hope y'all had a great Christmas and a Happy New Years friends
This was another banger win for Eggers, the cast was very well rounded, Lily Rose Depp & Bill Skarsgard was the standouts, The score, costumes and makeup/hair was on point, this was a must see vampire flick that you can get behind. I give it a A grade, 9 out of 10 and 4.5/5.
