Roc lecturing Donald about being a father really wasn’t helping because him and his wife didn’t ask to be homeless and him and his family was like everything was going to be ok but it really wasn’t, people like Roc think things are simple but in reality it just ain’t
I kinda disagree. The thing about it is that when the baby is here they’re here and they need their parents or someone to care for them. They were holding him accountable. Accountability was a very common theme in this show as with a lot of shows during that time period. Shows like this today would be considered politically incorrect and offensive for that very reason. That’s why the shows and movies of today always preach a lack of accountability and portray the villains, for example as the victims and push a message that their life struggles justify there poor life choices and anyone holding them accountable is “judging” them. It’s totally backwards today.
Roc was trying to talk sense into Donald and he was all feeling sorry for himself about being homeless. Meanwhile,Linda at least tried to be positive,yet too proud to accept the Emerson's help!
How does this Man NOT get MORE roles? I could watch him all day.
She was homeless and was not taling care of herself. Its a miracle that she carried the baby to full term.
Tommy Davidson really showed his range in this episode!

Show I think came out when I was 10 years old. Still one of if not the realest shows ever saw. Fox removed it too soon. NYPD Blue another show in the 90's. That gritty raw shows are no more. No cartoon sitcom character like Al Bundy on Roc. Felt it. Great cast of actors. The Roc/Andre scenes were amazing.

Thanks for showing this LEGENDARY show GrumpyBob💯💯💯💯I MISS and LOVE this show and remember watching it back in 90s. This show was too damn real for TV and ultimately we will see shows like this again when WE decide to independently create and produce them. What's with the mask brotha??.. This was one of my favorite shows growing up... They took it off the air I think because it was too positive of a portrayal of real average black folks..... We need shows like this back instead of house hoes of Atlanta type shit...
