Good my friend
No vaper barrier over the insulation?
OMG! I was thinking you should use a magnet to open the secret panel. But then you brought out the Thor hammer. That was pure genius!!!
Same! my thought was a necklace or something but thor's hammer is much cooler!
Gosh I love the care and thoughtfulness that goes into your builds. I buy pre-made furniture that is never as good as the custom jobs you feature in your videos.
I enjoy and appreciate these videos from Brad from fix this build that. Very good explanations and who the heck would take that much time to not just build a smokeless fire pit but take the viewers on the journey to find out what works best. I'm retired and new to doing any major builds. Never to old to learn and with help like this I can actually keep busy doing some fun stuff myself. Thanks Mr Brad!
Dude I'm obsessed with how clean your shop is.
I like how he works keeping every thing clear to its audience and keeping his workstation super clean
Your builds are fantastic- love your positive attitude, attention to details, and humor. Thanks for the inspiration.
Love the content! Just getting started with learning some woodworking and am thankful to have found your channel!
Appreciate the Super Thanks! Enjoy the journey and checkout fixthisbuildthat.com/beginner for some resources for new woodworkers.
I love the secret compartment, and opening it with Thor's hammer is just awesome. Nice build, great video as always Brad!
I enjoyed how the secret panel worked. I never considered to do molding on top of the face frame for built-ins. I wasn't sure why the spacing between the cabinets until you did the molding afterwards. Nice and clean look.
Great build and very entertaining without the overdone silliness that so many others think is necessary!! Looking forward to more of your videos!
Great project, but the secret stash reveal was over the top fantastic!
Thanks for the walk through of the design and planning
Another nice build. Good tip on checking the factory edges of plywood. In many of your other builds that required panels is doors, you always sneak up on the groove size and with your expertise ... they always come out great. Ever consider using a kerf maker tool ? I started using one and it has made life a bit easier. Aloha
Thanks, Tom! I've gotta check one of those out. have always seen them but never used one.
How is this comment three hours old when the video was only released 40 minutes ago? 🤔
@@debandmike3380 He's a channel member. It was probably shown to members early.
@@JohnC1 You are right Sir ... I joined the FTBT Buider's Club
@@Fixthisbuildthat I got mine from Bridge City Tools.
“Me nails” is exactly the kind of dad jokes that keep me coming back for more. That, and great projects explained well!
That was my favorite part of the video 😂
Me nails took me a few seconds to get lol
Great craftsmanship and very enjoyable to watch and learn!
The Mjölmir idea is brilliant! You’re a genius!
Man you always have some cool projects... Looking forward to seeing the next one! Keep it up 💪🏻
Great work, absolutely loved the ending when you threw the can down. I reference that part of the movie all the time and it was hilarious to see it here.
You build great things as well as being quite the entertainer. Thanks for sharing your projects.
A 3D printed Thor hammer - awesome!
Yes sir! Probably gonna do a Short on how I made it and the release mechanism.
@@Fixthisbuildthat looks like just a stronger magnet
Beautiful work, Brad! 😃
The secret space is brilliant!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Wow, this is a gorgeous project. Thank you for the inspiration!
Thank you so much!
Great job on the cabinet doors and overall build. The thing looks fantastic!
Cool, I like the last 2 minutes of your finish (tour) "It can be only the one😁..!" Pure genius!!
Such a goof! I love it!
Terrific build Brad! Really like that secret stash area. Now you have a good place to store all of your contraband items! 👍👍😂😂
Love the build Brad! I'm getting ready to do my own built-ins soon so you may have tempted me with the insert doors. This might just need a Sunday Night Live to discuss.😉
your videos are great....you have come so far.....not only in the work but in the editing, and content.
Thank you Brad. Very nerdy of you, but awesome just the same. I loved it!!! 👍👍👍
Content is top shelf (pun intended), enjoy the instructions and the presenting, a great watch!
Awesome job! Love the secret stash idea!
Great build and video, thanks!
I have been going nuts on my last couple projects trying to figure out why my panels weren't square. Never occurred to me that the factory edges might be out of square. Thanks for the heads up!
Well done, looks great!
Cool video. Love the cabinet and shelf set up.
Good morning Brad from Arizona. Love your work, thanks for sharing.
thank you!
Looks great - as always! Keep up the great work!
Great project, Brad~! And such a goof ball....I love it~! 😉
Brad, I just recently got into woodworking and stumbled upon your channel. I love all of your content and you do such an amazing job on camera as well as with the building! Keep up the great work and thanks for being an inspiration!
Welcome aboard!
Very nice build , really like the look it cave your room . Excellent job & video , enjoyed .
You're a character! A character with skills! That was fun! Thanks
Wow, your amazing funny and very talented. Beautiful bookshelf I loved it. Thanks for sharing 💕👏🏼
I always rip about a 32nd of an inch off the factory edge on my sheet goods. Then I use TSO’s parallel guide to rip parallel to the edge I established. From there I use another TSO product their track square and cross cut.
I don’t even take them to the table saw unless I need to cut dados or rabbets.
Love your videos so thought I’d chime in ✊🏾
I came for the woodworking but stayed for the excellent humour throughout. Also, those shelves look really nice and I love the reveal on those inset doors.
Perfect! Great work.
thanks!
Beautiful project and great use of space! As someone just starting out attempting to make his first cabinet panels, I have a question regarding wood selection for painting. The plywood you used seemed to take the paint beautifully, but I’m having issues with still seeing the grain after multiple passes of primer/sanding. Does your video skip this slow, painful sanding part, or is there a specific plywood grade you’re using that doesn’t require it? Thanks for any advice!!
Your editing is on point 👊 Nice work!
Thanks, Scott! Chris is doing a bang up job, way better than I could do 😀
I had a similar space when we did a remodel (did not do it myself). I put 24-inch-deep full extension drawers on the bottom where you have doors and pushed the 12 in shelves all the way to the back. Thor's hammer is brilliant.
Good job, looks great
This video was great! Well done!
First time i see someone what to do when a box is not square, thanks for that
Nice build. Like the secret stash.
Nice. liking the stash box
Great video. You have some really cool editing skills. I can't even make a UA-cam video. I tried a few times but gave it up. I'll just stick with my woodworking and vintage radio restorations. The two kind of work together at times.
Very Nice! Your videos inform, entertain and make me smile. Thanks!
If you would have made the secret stash behind the shelves it would have been a great area to store things like seasonal decorations or really anything.
Thanks for posting - great video! What type of hinges do you like to use for framed cabinets with inset doors?
I feel your pain on the prices. I screwed up a few drawer boxes with my 1/2” Baltic birch stock. Called for price and availability from my local plywood dealer he started off with “ You know there’s a war going on right now…” $$$$🤦🏻
Hey Brad... love your videos on the makers channel on Roku... keep up the great work man!!
When making the grooves for the front panels is there anyway to use a push stick or similar? I would like to do this but I would be very nervous about using my hands like you did. (Not safety police, just don't have the skill/confidence to do it myself). Great video!
nice job! enjoyed the video.
Brad you killed it. This man is a treasure and needs to be protected!
Hola! 🖐Nice project and cool video. What a GREAT tip to check the factory edge to confirm for square on these sheets of plywood. Take care and have a good one, Adios! 👊
As always, another great video from you, THANK YOU! Out of curiosity, why not plane and joint the boards while they are full length before cutting them?
That was entertaining. Thanks be to you for worthy content.
Great mountain Dew advert. They should really pay you for that. 😆 🤣. Love your channel.
Have you ever looked into Zipwall? I LOVE mine. They are spring loaded poles. They will go up to the ceiling. Just add plastic. I have a large space for my shop. So I leave them up all the time usually. But they go up and down so easy. And they keep the overspray in the “paint booth”. And the dust out. I don’t have it up right now because I haven’t been spraying. But its also great for just having hand finished items in there. Then you can continue working making sawdust while the paint/finish dries.
I have seen those. Been thi king about them for years since you know my hatred for dust 😂😂
Lumber prices are crazy right now. Where we are one sheet of 3/4" x 4 x 8 Baltic birch plywood is $179.99.
My first thought for how to open up the secret panel would be to just use a suction cup to pull on it. Either that or put more magnets right in the middle and then use something ferromagnetic to pull on those. Using Mjölnir to enclose the magnet is a cute idea.
As an amateur I really appreciate that you use safety equipment and keep guard on table saw
I should have seen that Dew part coming. Good use of the space 😂
Nice video! I need to square up my plywood from the store. I just got a track saw and love it. How are you not getting any tear out with your table saw or does it not matter as it’s on the outside?
Love it that is great you do great work.
Ugh, Love the style
I have a thing about magnets, I love them.. This is great! I made an invisible key ring 'hook' with a couple neodymiums
Brad, perfect timing on this build as I'm doing some shelves for a bookcase wall. Question if I may: Which Wagner sprayer are you using at 7:23? btw, love your mobile miter saw stand. I can move it all over my house for various projects!
I would do some kind of fan for the Xbox, I build something similar and kept my ps4 in it and it kept overheating. Looks great 👍🏼
Was thinking the same thing. That small cabinet shelf looks like a decent heat trap. Definitely needs some venting or a fan.
Love the shirt 😍!! First time merch-buyer
Wonderbar. Very nice design and build. When putting the cabinets together, what was the bit in the DeWalt you were pre drilling with.
Great job on the project AND the video!!!!👍👍👍😂
Shameless plug... love it. *salute*
that method of making door panels is how we do it at the cabinet shop i work at, only difference is we have a routing table instead of using a dato blade, but good ingenuity on your part!
Tigerblood Jewel. Very nice!
Great tunes!
Awesome endind!
Do you have a specific paint consistency you can recommend when using your wagner sprayer?
Really great video and great editing :)
Excellent as usual
Awesome build and nice socks! Those Puma socks are one of my favorite finds from Costco. 😆
Great build, Brad. The "ME" nails are back!
Bill
3:52 Dude that editing was CLEAN. Lol
Thank you so much for the Thor reference! He's my favorite, also.
Absolutely beautiful job! 💗💗💗💗💗💗
Just curious as to why you only made access to the single lower space and not the space above it or beside it?
Really nice Brad! Enjoyed this one as always. What are those corner clamps called again?
Great build and I love it. However my favorite part is how you use Mjolnir to open up the secret panel and it's also used as a kickstand to hold the panel up. I need that Mjolnir!!!
This video is great.... ANOTHER!
Really good 👍👍👍
Absolutely epic ending!
Excellent video!
thanks!
Those came out great! What kind of paint did you use?
