Finally. A decent footage compilation from a t5i. I have been trying to find any that aren't sharpened up the wazoo, or completely out of focus. This was lovely. Thank you.

What picture style are you using to make this movie, and how you grading it ? I use same camera 700D and your movie quality is very good.
Thank you! I've mostly used cinestyle but also visioncolor/visiontech. I color grade using Lumetri in Premiere with a film stock LUT for a base.

Thank you! No, I didn't use Magic Lantern. Though I did use technicolor's cinestyle picture profile and also visioncolor/visiontech.

This is very beautiful and motivating! I purchased a Canon 700D last week and made a short sequence experimenting with some of the settings, I could do with some feedback and tips/pointers, its not great as its the first time i've done something like this but if any of you get the time please give it a quick watch
hi james. Got the same camera and here´s what i`ve learned so far. To get a cinematic look like this just the camera its not enough. Download on your camera cinestyle (its free). Cinestyle its a pre set for your camera, that allows you to have a better dynamic range, this allows you to improve the contrast, color, light, shadows of your video on a editing program. you will also need an editing programm such as premiere pro. In the editing programm its where you can get the cinematic look if your footage is good. check on youtube tutorials about cinestyle, colorgrading, color correct, lighting your scene....and above all..PRACTICE. Cheers

The footage was shot in 1920x1080 and was rendered in 1920x700.
how much iso did u use for low light?
I try not to exceed 1600 ISO on the 700D. If you can, try to stay between 100-400 ISO for the best possible image.
