What i find even more incredible than going back to the old anthem is the fact that till date no one has been able to tell us what is wrong with the other one. Why are we having this change? It was needless in the first place changing the old one in the 70s and it is even more completely unnecessary changing the new one now, which I believe is one of the finest anthems the world over. When will we ever have self believe and pride in ourselves as a people? Who are we trying to impress?
Obasanjo was the Head of state who changed the colonial national anthem to the one composed by a Nigerian. So he is on a vindictive move to obliterate all Obasanjo did,since OB is very vocal against his administration.
