This dude said McKennie didn't play well last season..that tells me Don has no freakin clue what he's talking about. Literally all ESPN does is criticize american players.
ESPN IS American, that's why American players and teams get so much coverage here....duhhhhhh...
Not even accurate. Don is one of the fairest analysts. You don’t remember how he fancied pulisic in 20.
I didn’t watch any games but 7 assists for a center midfielder is hella solid
Don is clueless
Don doesnt watch Serie A matches. I’m willing to bet he hasnt watched on in years. Probably since Ronaldo was in the league.
IOW, Don has no idea that McKennie played 38 games last season for Juve. He needs to find another club because Juve and its fans don't appreciate him.
He is trash tho
As a Juve fan, we don't appreciate him because he's not good.
Bro stop overhyping him. He doesn’t start for juve anymore
Same and maybe more than locatelli (40mln) and miretti but they "unfortunatelly" are italians......@@arianh9380
Without McKennie Juve don't win the coppa. What we have *here* are management hacks trying to cover for the fact that Juve management have driven them into a ditch financially... so now they can't pay players what they're owed. Teammates coaches fans and management all loved Weston until the very moment he got uppity and asked for what he's owed. Then allofasudden he's not right for us. Assholes.
Lmao McKennie was their best midfielder last season. When they dropped him because he wanted more money the team looked so toothless
That he was our best midfielder shows how horrible the midfield was
Your comment should come with a "dangerously stupid and out of context American hot take" warning. McKennie was the best in a horrible bunch the way Rabiot was the season before, doesn't make them world beaters. There's a French proverb which says that it's easy for the one-eyed individual to become king in the middle of blind people, that was McKennie last season.
@@oldskoolmusicnostalgia what is your probelem? still the best you said it yourself. He wasnt bad enough to warrant being dropped completely clean up how you talk bi tch. f k ur mom too
Interesting u call a comment stupid then go on to agree with the said stupid comment🤣just makes me wonder who,s stupid,he said he was their best mid, that's factual,he was so I don't know what you,re yapping about
@@oldskoolmusicnostalgiaif anything, you proved his point that he is INDEED our best midfielder last season.
Id take him at milan
If Barca dont get Niko they should sign Chiesa
pool
My Italian work friend explained him perfectly: Chiesa played his best football at exactly the right time when everyone was watching (Euros + over Covid seasons when everyone had time to watch)
Or was ruined by allegri and under a pep would become an elite winger.
@@Micfri300thats exactly it. He could, but hes not, but he pretends that kind of salary, why would juve offer him a salary raise when hes been poor so far. They are better off selling him
@@alexostin2944 he has always been italys best outfield player though.
@@Micfri300 he was great during the 2021 but other players were too, like verratti and Chiellini. During the 2024 run he was assolute trash, best outfield player was calafiori
@@alexostin2944 he was absolute trash? Who made the assist v albania and who made the difference v Croatia by forcing them to drop back with his pace?
If you know nothing about Serie A, why don't you ask to someone who knows? Chiesa and McKennie are out of the team mainly because they want more money to extend their contracts. That's so easy to understand.
Then why is it so hard for Juve to move them? Isn’t just about money
@@gregorio5543 Because Juventus don't want to pay 8M net salary and 5M net salary for Chiesa and McKennie.
Mckennie, yes, but Chisea has somehow fallen off.
The comments are even more ignorant actually. All those Texans praising McKennie's performances from last season while ignoring his generally unprofessional behaviour and his contract status.
How does that have to do with his performances again🤦
These are good players under wrong coaches.
If he come to barca i am 💯 sure Hansi get him back to his prime
They say McKennie didn't play that well, but through up the stat that he got 10 assists in 38 games last season. That's a very high level and the most at the club. So apparently the player who got the most assists at the club isn't worthy of being at the club. That's comedy.
He actually had a very descent 23/24 season. His injuries have also been pretty minor too ever since his return from the ACL recovery. It would be a steal for any club that gets him under 15m.
Don, what are you talking about?? McKennie's work rate alone last season was far and above the other midfielders who played. Juve went through an inconsistent run of games, yet McKennie remained consistent. He played with a shoulder injury as well. He did everything he could for the team, and he knows it, which may be why he asked for more money. Do not sit there and say that McKennie hadn't really been good, Don. That is untrue given what Juventus went through last season.
He is saying the truth, but also chiesa was offered to renew with the same salary but he refused, he wants more money , and also he is refusing all the clubs that are interested on him, now that he is out he better think up well because he will watch the games from the stands
The Azzurri need Chiesa to get back to top form and then we can be competitive once again.
I hope he bounces back. Football isn’t the same when Italy is struggling. I hope they make it to the WC 2026 and do well
Chiesa isn't suited to Spalletti's over-complicated tactics, as are many other Italian players. Spalletti, with his word salads, just isn't suited to International football, where time is limited and you have to get your message across quickly. Chiesa excelled under attack-minded coaches like Mancini and Pirlo, coaches who kept it relatively simple and played a more vertical, direct brand of football.
As a juve fan. Mckennie played well for us last season, no doubt. However I understand why juve wants to move on from him. When Mckennie is one of your best midfielders, the team is not a serious contender, juve needed to upgrade and they did by bringing David Luiz and Thuram. It's unfortunate for Mckennie but it is what it is.
Chiesa should go to barcalona !!!
he's good but injury prone
As a juve fan im looking forwars to get rid of chiesa (60mln).
He played for juve just because BORN IN ITALY and thanks to paratici and all the "things" he did at juve
You have no idea what you are writing. Come back to me at Christmas when Juve and Motta are struggling with all these overrated players BORN IN FRANCE only there because THEY WERE BORN IN FRANCE.
Star of the league doesn't mean "good" as demonstrated by *all* the Italian strikers
He made a name for himself at Euro 2020, but as a Serie A watcher , I never thought he was as good as he was hyped up to be, even prior to the long term injury.
Juve fans used to compare him to Leao, and even back then I’d say Leao’s 2 levels ahead.
Dybala, who Juve let go under similar circumstances a couple of years ago, is miles better than Chiesa ever was or will be.
@@EdwardElfigo Serie A watcher? Great I have a question.
What do you think of Saelamaekers. Watched him in a Milan vs Roma match years back and he plaued very well.
@@tariqomer4678 he’s a good player, great dribbler and work rate, little to no end product whatsoever though.
I'd rather have Leon Bailey at Aston Villa. Chiesa is okay, but Bailey can burn people. If you compare the two, one is flat the other is flare. Bailey has the goals and assists to back it up.
As roma is good option for him ,for a good price like 15 million (or go abroad for prem club like chelsea or arsenal but he will have competition)
These guys don't watch Serie A at all. He was Juve's best midfielder last season. Only being sold cause he wants more money
Weston played 38 games for Juve last season...
Spot on take with Chiesa. Why Juve is desperate to let him go even for €15m
Sigh, espn only mentions Juventus when it’s some drama or something bad happens with/to the club.
That's been the only thing about the club worth talking about, they haven't won anything or even played all that well.
They didn't say nothing bad in fact they said chiesa every manager will not trust on him after injury plus mckennie cant play top 5
@@Yesglobal- Never said I disagree with the takes, just stated that espn only mentions Juventus in our bad times and when there’s drama. I 100% agree that Chiesa is an unknown because he’s been underperforming ever since he came back after the ACL, and Mckennie had a few good assists last season but he isn’t a top level player.
@@yfgjabbnumbuh20 i agree broo but you know for sure that this is our "destiny" especially on the media
We have enemies all around since ever
@@yfgjabbnumbuh20 i will only miss szczesny among all of them
Yesterday perin did many mistakes
He can be a good option for Roma for a good price like 15-18 mill
alvarez leaves....now city can make a swap between chiesa and cancelo.....
Come and take awful Mudryk game at Chelsea
McKennie is gone because he wanted more money. His wages were lower than other MF who didn't even play. And that's despite him being the best performer in that position group last season along with Rabiot.
So that’s a no for nufc
I think utd should go for him. Give them sancho and make them pay 20 mil extra to utd for the deal. I think that's fair
So it was solely down to Don Hutchinson that Moyes didn't sign McKennie? Lol 😂
Has Rabiot signed anywhere yet ?
Chiesa is another example of “never judge a player by one knockout tournament ”
That would be completely disregarding the season he had leading up to that Euros.
Anyone that is a juventud fan knows chiess hasn't done nothing for us in 4 years
@@vpbassmag no it isn’t ignoring anything. he was in good form, but was not world class, then had a great tournament. Then fans of clubs all over Europe and England wanted to sign him. Now, he will have to search for a club that can give him 2,000 minutes at best.
He was a great talent already at Fiorentina, he played an amazing euros and had an impressive start at Juve, then the injury happened
Anyone who is a juventus fan knows that he was ruined by allegri.@@acruzro95
Weston had a bad season but had the most assist on the team 🤡
They’re too disrespectful, saying players with no good season…too rude yk
So what? Harry Kane was joint top scorer in the Euros but he played like trash the whole tournament. That's why you cannot just rely on stats.
@@Fractalchemystical explain why he continued to start/play for more than 85% of thier games then genius
@@NaniAgassa17The main reason he played so many games was because Pogba and Fagioli, which were supposed to be the starters, were out for the entire season. Also, McKennie often played out of pisition as right midfielder and right winger. He isn't an amazing player in terms of quality, but he works hard for the team and is always running up and down the field. I appreciate players like him, but his wage was already too high and he went on to demand even more, while Juventus has been decreasing all wages in the past 2 years to cover the losses from the covid period and mistakes from the old management. Considering that he has only 1 year of contract left Juventus therefore needs to sell him now
He wants an undeserved pay rise for one good year and his contract runs out soon. It's a no-brainer for Juventus, they need to sell asap.
Motta made a huge mistake with segregating the players, now they will have no value and if no clubs come in for them what then ?
when a certain team from Spain does this, they are called bullies🤣
If Anthony Gordon is sold to Liverpool, I think Chiesa would be a really decent replacement for Newcastle. Aston Villa should also inquire after losing Diaby
I think for McKennie’s ability he performed well but he isn’t Juve quality
Joined two years ago and only hsve one year left? I remember he was on loan.
Chiesa is just a one tournament wonder
You just dont watch Serie A.
Chiesa is a wonder player. But he looks unsettled and injury prone.
Probably end up in saudi
Chelsea should get him
Chiesa is finished and not worth paying him more than 5 million a year that He’s asking 8
Wow...for an expert, be really does not know what he's talking about.
McKennie had a great season.
I'm really dorry Chiesa is leaving.
Honestly, i would keep both of they & lose Locatelli & Milik.
Don’t come to westham
Liverpool
Don is right about Chiesa and hella wrong about Weston. Chiesa needs to find another position and by that he needs to instill discipline in his game. The mazy runs are gone. He looks like a less slower Hazard. He needs to play in the interior, the Neymar position where he's free to roam but that requires futbol intelligence. He might be better going to Atalanta to reinvent his game by playing in a strict regime and working hard to regain his form. Conte would kill him if he took more than 3 dribbles. Maybe Roma. Serie A is a fundamentally system league, where positions are fixed, the tactics rehearesed and improv is met with benching. The coaches hold all the power & the only manager who would take him manages the national team. If I am Chiesa I go to Crystal Palace where expression on the ball is encouraged.
McKennie needs to stop with all that American branding. Nothing wrong with his game. I hope he doesn't leave Italy because he's a really intelligent player, adept at managing the game, a less intense Arturo Vidal.
Good riddance. Juventus wasted so much resources and time for this player. He always relied on his pace, but pace deteriorates with age and injury. Worse yet, Chiesa never managed to develop his techniques and hone his decision making. Juve made so many questionable decisions starting since from Sarri. Juve’s pain is my delight, but becoming the laughing stock of the league is a bit too much even for a Milan fan. Motta might change that. Let’s see
I guarantee what this clickbait bs is all about is that espn fc are losing their American audience to cbs and Paramount+ and specifically the Golazo show because that's where American fans can hear proper analysis of American players... meaning they're treated with the same metrics as other players instead of the espn fc twisted spin.
Oh yah... Futbol Americas is a better show too. You go Sebi! 😁
Don is correct on Chiesa. He saves his best for specific periods, in a club that requires players to perform over the course of a season. And then there's his injury record... I feel much sadder about Matias Soulé's departure than I might about Chiesa leaving.
As for McKennie maybe American fans need to stop being so sensitive to criticism? 1.5 good years in 4 is not Juve level, it puts him in the same bracket as Rabiot. On top of that there's his contract situation and the fact that he repeatedly turned down perfectly reasonable transfer options.
Chiesa is better than all English players
You’re smoking crack I can name 3 players on Arsenal better than him
Yeah back in 2021
All English people are better than you. You hate England but we live rent free in your mind while you constantly obsess over us and meanwhile you're speaking our great language and watching English speaking media. @@Kspat2let's see when he comes to the prem.... Then you can judge
A superstar who have tried so hard to give juventus 200% and now juve want to just throw him away after wasting his talent with a useless manager like the brainless Allegri… as a juve fan i wish him to go to somewhere to show his real talent and gets appreciated enough as he deserves
What a shame
Fr am a inter fan Buh ffs I thought he will be motta key player I really thought there’s no way motta wouldn’t like dat guy
200% ahahahaha
@@dharktv1340Motta has no saying in it. His contract expires next year and he asks 5 millions (10 millions net) to renew his contract. Far to much for us right now. Juventus offered him a new contract with the same salary as before, but he refused. He therefore has to go, it's the only viable option
The Way Juve dumped Del Piero, this club has no finesse anymore. I have supported the club since 1978 as a boy. But they have been pissing me off with the way they conduct themselves.
To inter on a free

What are you basing that on? They "would have"?? Prove it.
Overaded player nothing specijal
Just because this Hutchinson guy is afforded the white privilege and allowed to comment on games doesn’t mean he knows football. This genius said Arsenal would finish outside the top 4 this past season after finishing 2nd a year before. And we all know what happened, Man City had to go 20 games undefeated to finish 2pts ahead of Arsenal. I watched plenty of Serie A games and McKennie was Juve’s best midfielder. I suppose Moyes should thank him for being out of job since both of them can’t evaluate talent 😅😂
