+miraclmoore Yes, everyone pauses tutorials, especially when they're first learning a program. I've had comments from some advanced users that my pacing is too slow for them. So, you can see, I'm walking a fine line. FYI: My earliest tutorials were much faster; I've slowed it down quite a bit.

Hi, There is a mistake at 8:38. To make the selection black, you must use ALT+Delete and not CTRL + Delete as indicated in the video.

I did everything you said and my results were way different. For instance, the step right before adding text caused a black and white outline in the center of the shape.

I got a problem. At 5:00 , when i press CTRL+H to hide, i have got a space between this symbols, this space is colored as a background... I don´t know what to do with this... I can´t continue with creating logo with this space. Please help!

why i get two separete shapes when i mergethem and add the innerglow its look like is one black shape but when i add the innerglow make,s a white line around but in the middle too

I seem to have problem at 4.22 the moment i click ctrl+D the object just deselect itselt but black background within the path does not appear. What should I do?
i think an even better video for me is how to think of what your logo will look like, if i know what im doing its easy, but im not extremely creative when it comes to designing logos

It sounds like your foreground and background colors are inverted. Go to 0:39 in the video.

I got a problem. At 8:05 the masking doesn't work for me. I am on a Mac running on PS CS6. I have the tool and mask selected however when click using the tool, nothing happens. Please help! (Btw amazing tutorial really good quality and explaining!)

I really like your videos but somehow manage to skip the ones where by you use 'oil paint plugin'. Could you suggest an alternative to Oil Paint?
Go to my channel and click the magnifying glass icon (next to “About”). Type in "oil paint".
At 7:39 I have a grey spot where the text was at. How do I make it to where that grey is not there when I do the ALT + DEL.
Pencil part didn't work for me so i had to use the brush tool to remove the bottom part of the letter. Thank you very much for your tutorials.
Can someone help? When I go to the gradient tool at 2:11 in video, I do not have the option to see the Gradient Editor. HOW do I make that happen? I'm running CC 2018. I'm sure it's operator error!
As soon as the gradient bar is clicked, the Gradient Editor should automatically open by default. Close and re-open PS and try it again.
if your ctrl + Del isnt working try use Ctrl + Backspace

Hi Marty, following along but when I get to geometric distortion I enter -40 but it doesn't distort symmetrically, the right side of the object is much larger than the left side, any ideas? I've tried the whole tutorial from start to finish 4 times can't seem to get it right
It could be that your image isn't in the exact center of your document. Try cropping your document by pressing Ctrl + A and go Image > Crop.
Please help me i work on CC and my Pen Tool doesn't work like yours.
But when you say make a sec line holding Shift and drag it to the middle line he also makes a short line behind the second dot i made with the Pen Tool.

I did an in-depth tutorial on the Pen Tool. Go to my UA-cam channel & click on the magnifying glass icon (next to “About”). In the “Search Channel” field, type in, “draw paths with pen tool”.

at about 4:13 you do the make selection and when i do it the whole thing disappears I've made sure that the abject was closed. I'm not sure what to do if you can help me that would be great thanks
THE BIG FELLAS If you see the completed work path, then it can be converted into a selection. Also make sure the correct layer is active.

Marty- I've watched your various tutorials in the past and really liked this one. I'm stuck right after merging the two layers together and starting to add the effects. When working on the Inner Glow I get two separate triangles that are outlined in a thick white band. The two triangles are separated with a black outline around them, even with a black line going down the middle. My back/fore ground colors are inline with what you are doing. Wondering if you can shine some light on this for me. Thank you in advance and I can't wait to see the finished product. Jim

Marty- the question in mind comes up at the 5:29 mark. Yours shows a black center with a white border. Mine is actually separating the two triangle halves with a white border for each triangle section and a black line down the middle of the emblem. thank you and I hope this makes sense.
At 4:48, the 2 halves of your triangle may not be completely snapped together. There's probably a 1 pixel gap between them. If you zoom way into the middle of the triangle, you'll probably see a tiny, vertical gap.

HellBlast87 I've never heard of that happening. Close PS and then reopen it. Yes, check to see if there are updates.
