Been married 17 years. My advice? Separate blankets. Sure cuddling under 1 sounds cute, but after a while give in and cuddle through different covers. It's hard to be in love when you haven't slept well. Let the furnace kick theirs off, let the ice cube layer them on. It HELPS. You don't have to be physically attached at the hip. bob is so right about letting it go. my ex and i got the the stage of feeling like room mates and i got comfortable in that. we stayed like that for years. then some shit went down and i started to dislike him. not wanting to go home, renting a hotel room a mile away (alone, mine you) just because i didn't want to walk into our house and look at him. that's when i decided it was time to end it. it took some time but we're actually back to being, well i guess best friends. we call each other when some thing happens: good, bad, funny sad. so if your marriage is at the end of it's rope, cut it. you will loose the spouse but keep your best friend. divorce was the best thing i ever did for us.
