So glad I found someone else that some one else that loves books like I do. People always say some smart comments when they find out that I love to read. I got bookish box first bc I was so excited about the t shirt option, but then got my first owlcrate box and omg the products are so much nicer! So I’m canceling the bookish box lol
I love these longer videos! It’s easy to skip around and look at all the different unboxings. I agree bookish box feels really overpriced. I look forward to the advent calendar and would prefer a vlog style daily opening. Great video!
I know I a VERY late to the game on this video but I NEED that Tea Towel in my life what month an year was that box so I can try and get it on a resell.
I had to cancel Authentic Books! I enjoyed the 2 or 3 boxes I got but it was too expensive. Plus most of their titles are BOTM so it was more economical for me, since I already subscribe to other romance box subscriptions!
Hi Sigrid, hope you're good. I love the Authentic Books box, l have the largest box option so l get me some chocolate too. 😃 I find their book picks to be really good. I have enjoyed their novels more than most of the ones l have picked from BOTM. Despite the fact that BOTM gives us five different titles (to select from) + extra add ons. vs. Authentic Books just have two or sometimes three to choose from. I'm like the concept of this box, and the fact that they send quality items that are linked with the books theme, and that the items are good quality too imo, and I have used everything I have gotten from them. It's not some random nick nacks and "space fillers". About the choice of tea/cocktail mix , as far as l know you make that choice yourself. The "suprise me" option only applies to the books from what l recall. I truly enjoy your videos and it's great to see all the different boxes you get and how they are currated, not to mention all the novels you get! 😃 I'm sort of happy jealous. Haha
I would not use that painting from OUABC. It's just odd! I enjoy your opening of these boxes, but overall, I don't love their gifts. Love the idea of it, but they seem to get cheap items a lot. The Bookish Box wasn't bad, but it doesn't seem like you get your money's worth. The quote from the adult box lead me to think a towel, but it does look like a scarf. Hey, it's yours, you can use it how you'd like! I'd use it like a table scarf. I hate getting key chains...that one isn't even something I'd use, not to my taste.
Do the adult Unplugged boxes have mainly fantasy books? I’ve thought about subscribing but I’m not big into fantasy so not sure if I’d like the books. Thoughts?
Hi, Megan! I don't think we get a lot of fantasy in the adult boxes but it does happen sometimes. I think we get more thrillers than anything which is my favorite genre. I also saw some historical fiction and romance. If you are choosing between the adult and YA box then the adult box would be better because the YA box is mostly fantasy in my opinion.
I agree that Bookish Box is overhyped. I think a lot of people stay subscribed so that they have early access to the special editions they sell all the time, like FBAA. It's too expensive though, lol, even the book only subscription.
Yeah sorry. The longer videos are usually multiple unboxings. I try to add the clickable sections so that people can skip around to the boxes they like.
I would love a vlog style video for the advent calendar!!! Also vlog style videos for the OUABC would be really fun :)
