Notes: This is a video of the game in action in high quality as there are already playthroughs, illustrating different things. Takae Yuguchi returns as the main voice actress for Cotton and almost every iteration of Cotton as well. The game also has a really slow rapid fire system and most enemies and item carriers require many shots to destroy, so button mashing is the only way to go (this can become difficult for long durations). Many things in the environments are destructible and the game encourages seeking things out for points, safe zones or secrets. The game still has "Tea Time" between stages, though it is not as refined; many cups are outside the boundaries of player accessibility (illustrated at the end of stage 1), though the game does still possess a hefty "secret bonus" if the right criteria is met. Taking hits will gradually reduce your shot power, and max level power is great but runs out on its own after a short amount of time. There is no healing between two of the game's three final bosses, so hitting Medusa with a meteor shower and spamming the rest of your power on the second boss is the best way to 1CC the game (your fairies help a little on the second and third boss as well, especially the second as she is very hard to target as you're dodging most of the time). Cotton has a slow acceleration when changing directions, so you can use the environments to your advantage to bounce around quickly as this doesn't cause damage. Most enemies can be outright avoided and some projectiles can be destroyed. Enjoy. The game is in cooperation with "Amusement Media General Academy". - ADDITION - Like Us On Facebook: facebook.com/thegamingsanctuary/ Follow Us On Twitter: twitter.com/GS_Vyse_and_Bel Visit Us At: www.gamingsanctuary.com
Hey believe it or not ININ Games just announced a remaster of Rainbow Cotton for modern consoles and Steam , Gematsu just reported it. HD widescreen, text is fully localized (translated), better control system with lock-on system, and more.
Yeah, even the play control issues are a little exaggerated as the game was designed with a certain ebb and flow; if they made Cotton slightly transparent or adjusted the view a bit to be more like Star Fox or Panzer Dragoon, it would've helped players get into it more.
There are the first one with their ports, the 2nd one, Cotton 100%, Panorama Cotton, this game, the pachinko games, the remaster of the first one, and the upcoming Cotton Fantasy/ Cotton Rock n Roll.

I find this game hated too much. I actually wanted this game for its anime cutscenes.

Wait... theres more than 2 games?
There are the first one with their ports, the 2nd one, Cotton 100%, Panorama Cotton, this game, the pachinko games, the remaster of the first one, and the upcoming Cotton Fantasy/ Cotton Rock n Roll.
This game looks great but needs to move about 5x faster. Like Panorama Cotton on the weak-ass GENESIS did.
nice aspect ratio....
anime panzer dragoon (and puyo puyo?)
