Wait my heart hurts, Wei Yings story is a bittersweet one , he got hurt a lot but never gave up and his relationship with Lan Zhan is so beautiful and I love how Lan Zhan was always being there for him even when the world turned its back. By far my most loved ship is these two, like nothing can top them.

@@zofzofzof_iaa I think it fits more if it's the opening for act 1 since MDZS started with slandering Wei Ying and it's same in the Wicked and then explains the backstory of both characters.

OMG! At 04:48 I just started crying with the images and the line "Everyone deserves the chance to fly". Just thinking of what happened to them made tear up ;^; but great job! I had actually thought of this song during the rain scene of The Untamed - that it would have been appropriate if Wei Wuxian had started singing it then. The way you used it here is perfect - this mix of donghua and drama scenes and motifs works perfectly.
I was NOT ready for this it had not crossed my mind but oh god its perfect and it hurts and i love it and all the feels you hit me with just perfection!

After seeing wicked live and having 3 versions of mdzs under my belt, the parallels between the stories are numerous, and you captured them perfectly. lwj in the moment he tries to calm wwx down in nightless city embodies "can't i make youu understand, you're having delusions of gradure"

okay I've been watching a lot of MDZS animatics tonight and this one by far is the most energetic and thought out one I've seen so far. It was a lot of fun and I was singing along and totally eating up the scene X3 well done!! Loved every moment of it!!

I've been rewatching for the best of the past hour and i'm just astounded by your musicality!! Every key shift is represented in the visuals, like from rythme/pacing to notes, everything is utilised as best you can with the visual be it frame shifts, movement etc... your work is actually insane. Like it's so good wth

This is probably the most stunning thing I’ve seen, the emotions it brings me are beyond words. I grew up with wicked, and recently got into mxtx and the two combined work so well that you could rewrite the story a bit but keep all the songs and call it mdzs the musicale.
I didnt realize this was specifically The Untamed until the end scene 😬 I still haven't continued the drama version bc all the changes from the novel and donghua rub me the wrong way x'D This is an amazing animation though! I thoroughly enjoyed it (and the feels 😭)!
Ah, sorry! I did put it in the title! ;_; I was going to mix and match canons but ended up leaning way more cql in the end to keep the through line of some imagery and match w lyrics etc. I'm glad you liked it regardless, though!
@@stardustinjune Ah no that's okay! I'm just special and forgot what CQL meant (aka the drama ahaha). It was wonderful though (& tbf, the drama starts with that last scene anyway so I already knew about it 😂 that's how I was able to connect them, and they really did flow seamlessly! This was a great idea :D)!
