The Nurnberg Kristkindlmart is an amazing experience i enjoyed twice in 1988 and 1989 as a U.S. Army soldier stationed in nearby Zirndorf.

Thank you for the video! My daughter & I are heading there mid-December for only three days, just after 4 days in Strasbourg, France for its market. Hoping for a little bit of snow for ambience, but it won't matter if not. Just excited to do this quick trip. Each year when we are overseas we always buy Christmas ornaments from shops and our tree is jammed packed with them to represent all the countries we have been to. Cheers!

Freiburg im Breisgau is much closer to Strasbourg and has really good market, plus not that overcrowded as in Munich. If you come closer to the end of December you can add the Triberg Weihnachtszauber as a destination. If earlier - I suggest you can visit Stuttgart with it's Market plus Ludwigsburg which is nearby (20-25 minutes by train). Munich is definitely in all the guides but does it really worth it?

The prune men are known as Zwetschgenmännle, they are a children's toy.

Hi there, nice video of my home town (well, kind of - I actually live right next to Nuremberg...). Just a remark on the international Christmas market: The cities represented there are "sister cities" of Nuremberg. I have no clue whether this is really a thing in the US, but every major city in Germany (actually also quite a few of the smaller ones, too) partnered up with those sister cities all around the world for partnership, cultural / educational exchange, etc. Some of Nurembergs sister cities are Glasgow in Scotland, Krakow in Poland, Nice in France - and Atlanta, GA in the US. 😉

There is only one subway from Nürnberg Airport to the city centre... so why do you worry that you took the wrong train? 🤭
