MANOR LORDS | EP15 - FICKLE CHICKENS (Early Access Let's Play - Medieval City Builder)

- Manor Lords has been my most anticipated city builder since I first stumbled across it in 2020 - the medieval city builder with RTS combat elements, and an economic system that integrates the two closely... what more could I ask for? This series will showcase Manor Lords gameplay while highlighting how to play Manor Lords, providing explanations for various mechanics and gameplay systems. If you like city builders, if you like medieval settings, and if you like tactical battles, I think you might like this series.

#manorlords - Ігри
do the sheep at the first town ... you got fallow fields to pasture them on ... and it adds cloth yarn ...and its a simple boost to clothing and you already have the weaver
In case it remains missed, the storehouse is full in iron town
as for farming families it appears each family can handle a 1 acre plot ... and you have more than 8 acres of fields ... so oxen and a second farm house ... also use all 3 seasons of field barley fallow wheat fallow flax fallow ... and always have all 3 types of fields each season ... get the sheep perk and boost your sheep on the fallow fields improving fertility of the fields and the sheep
I was legit looking at the prior episode less than two minutes ago and then this pops up
Thats good timing, because i love this series
A second Farm house means a second oxen. Less people need.
I think the first granary replacement in Eisen Dorf was Perfect 👍 all you needed was a small market for foodstalls right next to it. And then set the granary to only store berry’s and veggies and bam 💥 !! Issue solved 😅 because a market stall will supply any house in the region as long as it is stocked enough, no matter the distance. Can easily be done with leather as well… 😅
Ps.: you can move or delete market stalls as well… helps to get the granary workers building the stalls in the right market
Oh. I finally caught up, I agree with the sheep breeding, you have fields and it will continue the yarn without having to buy more sheep eventually, also makes exporting them a thing. Also helps make fields more fertile. All win win to me.
your berry carrot farms should ALL have the +1 housing so 2 families deal with the veggies .. I would literally reset all 4 of those farms to have the extra home and add 4 with backyards only for 2 chicken and 2 goats ...
Maybe you should throw in a small storage house that only stocks the stage one clothing items. This would allow them to get the right shop installed. It would be an easy way to burn the remaining houses that need upgrades.
A oven in Eisendorf would do a Lot. Import grain. Then build a windmill and import wheat.
Hey. ❤️ the slow burn of 3 episodes a week. You mentioned using pack stations more. Where as you have the path for that gently sloping down the side of slope by the river would it speed up things by zig zagging / switch backing down the steep slopes?
You could make a barleyfield in Adelsball in the Strips of Land between planed bakeries and the breweries and more bigger fields to the south and Farm house
Get couple of more farm houses. Divide the workers. And you get more oxen. Go with irrigation since you want that town to be a farming base. Build a new store house which has only yarn and leather. Don’t build such big vegetable gardens, they are not getting farmed. Waste of resources. Get more oxen in the iron village as well.
Maybe get the herb-garden extension in Eisendorf? I like the series so far so.
Clay products should be in Eisendorf. Adelsball should be breadbasket
you gotta keep your fields small because if you don’t harvest all of it you lose a lot
I absolutely love this playlist series! One question: what about the herb garden at the forager's? I think it is categorized as a commodity. I have seen villagers that are resting from illness or injury. Are herbs of no use in early access?
Honey sadly isn't worth it. It does not make enough honey and you are capped at two hives.
i think you should get a storage by the smiths that only stores weapons and armor
I have a question, is it normal the Baron doesn't have a city or castle ? Are NPC towns not a thing yet?
With that ox’s weird plowing pattern, shouldn’t the grain fields be built long and narrow? Would seem more efficient.
Hey man, thanks for continuing the series! If anyone is in hopeless love with manorial warfare and society (battle tactics, city-buildings, peasantry, etc.) I forcibly recommend Schwerpunkt's videos series: it's all what a person can ask for as a historical background to titles like manor lords (the guy is not just a historian but he used to mod Total War). Keep up with the episodes, can't wait for the next one. See ya, Jacques
I think you will need more Farmhouses, so you can get more Oxen.
Having several farm houses with one family and one oxen assigned to it works so much more efficiently than filling up a single farm house
Honey could to make more diversity in Food.
What if the constant fires were due to party constantly destroying the people’s firewood stalls.
The people are upset my lord, they want to be wood cutters not clothing designers 😂
Also, cant you change cloak production to gambion armour production for the archers?
I keep having the same issue as 2:20 ... with a perfectly filled market (in your case 44 of many type of clothing) not reaching 44 homes... I think it's a bug because when I destroyed the whole marketplace and let them rebuild it, I got the 100% coverage as it should be. I've done this a few times now as a workaround until patch or until i learn what caused it
Hi i think chickens should give feeders and feeders should be necessary for fletcher
I would appreciate if you could mention maybe they implement it in the game
Well, maybe you should go for the honey. Can’t you make mead to stock the tavern?
Only can have 2 apiaries which makes the honey slow. Not viable tbh.
"fickle chickens" sounds like pg scrub for profanity. For fickle chicken's sake, Martha, we don't need any more shoes! As the fickle chicken flies, I missed my turn.
just wondering why you stopped playing workers and resources after episode 233
I think you are planting your chickens too deep and that is hurting your eggs ... er wait planting chickens ... hmm
His markets are too big and Not spread enough. Small markets with des Stalls all over the City are much better then a place with 50 Stalls where the just people living next to them get what they need.
They will supply people just fine if the sellers can just stock their goods fast enough. Which means the storage for the goods being sold should be as close as possible as well as the sellers' homes.
get some of that sweet, sweet honey dude
Aight, I know you're dealing with lower and lower and lower viewercounts, likes, interaction etc. And I know you like to play this way, but everytime you find a new game like this, progression is so slow. And I actually enjoy it, and some with me do. But if you want to up your viewercount, you have to understand the typical humanoid. Most do not have the attention span for this slow gameplay, the OCD, the going back and forth between thoughts and reconsidering every little move you make 19 times. Or checking your goddamn marketplace 928 times in 1 session.
In short: If you want more viewers, subs, likes etc; Stop wasting time.
If you want your current viewers to enjoy what you're doing; change nothing.
But I wouldn't even mind you speeding it up a little, I bet none of us would. If you take the proper moments to still enjoy your games the way you do, it will still be 'you'. Trading 100 likes for the OCD, slow playing shitheads like us for 2k likes because you deserve a bit more recognision and income won't bother us man.
Don't change yourself, change what you let people see of you. You'll be alot more succesfull.
