Hey man, nice start! I have just started a run on challenging difficulty now as well.
A slight improvement would be to have a tannery (before sawpit or even berries), because clothing market access gives +8 approval, negating the -8 from the missing church
You also don't need to have the tanner working much, I unassigned him after he put some 4 leather in the stall (those last forever)
I had 51%+ opinion in April with that (and my resources are further apart), first new family came in May!
But you dropping this guide 9 days ago is sick, it really helped me understand what's happening on this difficulty!
The color pallette and lighting in this game are gorgeous
Totally agree
Loving this series and there's nothing better than watching a streamer that knows what they're doing when playing a game. Keep up the awesome work!
Thank you!
THIS GUIDE IS THE BEST! DEVS GOTTA SEE THIS
Thank you!!
I try to build one farmhouse with veggies and keep it during summer in the first year doing gardening. You can't force them to stay home so I've to postpone any further building to secure some food. One needs to manually assign people from houses so both families stay and do gardening. I wish there would be a way to forge people's stay and garden and not venture doing buildings. I start other construction during winter.
Regarding woodcutting precision selection I'd prefer to be able draw it like housing instead of circles
Bro, I was eagerly waiting for your videos on this, after being hooked on your Farthest Frontier videos. You are literally like a game scientist, no joke, its awesome and super rare! It's like you have a PhD in Science and apply it to gaming, for us science nerds this is a whole other level of gaming!!!
More to come!
cool tip for custom textures! I've just been using the holy hand grenade so far.
Thanks for the tips! Definitely going to help. I started playing for a half hour before going on shift today and I was lost. Instantly picked up your guide series and started watching it on breaks lol.
So good! Your commentary and game play is top notch.
Thank you. This first EP took me 10 filmings lmao
Thank you dear cat
Two lessons I've learned here, One no need a person in the church; Two don't upgrade until church upgrade first..
@4:35 it's logs, I'd call lumber, the sawmill. 😁
and Swiss.... hehe greetings from Zurich
I haven't tried hardest difficulty yet, just been on default, but I love optimizing and your video is the best one I've found so far for that. Everything you've mentioned is something that I've noticed myself or that makes sense based on what I know. Good work and thanks for sharing.
Edit: I did realize after that one thing I had been doing differently is that I go for lumber, then housing, then food and firewood, instead of prioritizing food and firewood over housing. Is it just on higher difficulty where you need more food and firewood and thus need to get them earlier or is there a reason to go for that earlier despite your initial stockpile of bread and firewood?
Honestly I could have played this slightly better - but overall it’s just the drive to get the church up asap for me because I died 4-5 times from approvals issues
Thanks for putting all this effort into these Let's plays :) i'm really hyped for this game :D
It’s a great game!
Thanks for the guide, but I have one question about the level 2 burgage plots: does upgrading to level 2 really make them tank approval without the stone church? Because when I upgraded them on mine (I was playing on normal difficulty though. Maybe it’s different on hard) it didn’t cause any problems and I still got bonus approval from my market variety. The only time the level 2s started causing approval problems was when I didn’t have enough families working in storage to stock enough of firewood in market stalls even though I had a stockpile.
Getting those level 2s has actually been really important in my settlements bc they allow you to generate regional wealth for extensions passively and without needing to trade away resources.
On normal you can go into tier 2 easily / on hard it will kill you almost instantly - hard plays very very different
@@TacticatGamingdang, it sounds like it.
can't wait for this to go live, feels a bit like a cross breed of farthest frontier and new cycle and Ostriv, when it comes to in depth options way of building and map layout.
It's very good
Great Manor Lords guide
Why do you not do farms(field/bread) the first year ?
Having a family in a store house means they use a hand cart which can hold 10x the items of a person hand carrying them. So keep a person in a storehouse to free up everyone else
Thr best UA-camr on this game you are like a teacher ❤
I try my best - thank you!
@@TacticatGaming recpact from Iraq 🇮🇶 brother keep up I'm sure you are going to be a big channel someday good luck
Something else I wanted to ask because I haven't seen you talk about it, have you experimented with assigning a family to the oxen and seeing how that affects efficiency? I've tried it, but I haven't done a side-by-side comparison to see exactly what the results were. Also, at what point do you benefit from having multiple oxen?
Edit: Also, pressing tab gives a lot of info so you can see important stuff without having to click on each individual building.
I haven’t but others in the space have told me it’s not noticeable
As far as I can tell, it is more effective to relocate your lumber camp, the building that plants trees takes a long time to start doing something. Just build new roads and move the saw pit and lumber camp to a new forested area.
Yes I agree !
Chickens are the best food source, they produce an insane amount of eggs
the final design has a ton of chickens, they are fantastic
ohh btw i think its a cheesy but if u upgrade 2 houses and delete them, u can stay and mase produse tier 1 house ( if u have the food to fed them hhh) but ur pretty skilled at this, so i have faith in u hehe
Under the current version the 2 familes to 1 burbage plot increases the processing/output of veggie plots, (and artisan business), does the same benefit apply to chicken and goat extensions?
Word on the street is no - but as the game patches that can change
thank you for this ❤
You're welcome 😊
You're the best Tacticat!
and check fertility of the field at the planted trees
You say you should not upgrade your burgages to level 2 until you have a tavern, entertainment, a church and 3 foods. In order for the tavern to function, you need ale. Ale requires an artisan home to produce, and that home needs to be level 2. So am I misunderstanding? You cant get the tavern going without upgrading to tier 2, at least for some homes - correct?
What I end up doing is upgrading one home and making it booze asap
if you really like Pizza.... ,my friend makes the best Pizza... hands down you are welcome to try
AMAZINGNES!!!
Thank you!!!
your gm is from Dacia... of Transilvania...
Do you want only your storage and granary workers running market stalls vs workers doing it?
Yes
its NOT the hardest difficulty, no winter start, no 1 year raiders, only 2 bandit camps from start not 5, max 3 bandit camps , not 5 ,and only medium approval , and u get 20 shields and spear for free......sooo not the hardest setup, try the crazy hardcore, no free stuff, all u need to do is set up curch and tannery at the end, juuuust before u built houses any houses then after the first raid ur golden. as i know u know, log camp, then store house and grannery keep them cold as long as u can
btw big fan of u from fartest frontier and ur manor lord content great job
my comments were delayed because you were already live for 27 minutes and I started the clip from the befinning
In my own experience I find it's best to build berry hut and hunting camp first then have the max people working in them, then logging camp for the 5th family to work in then build both variants of the store houses but don't pull people off their assigned work slots until all the logs required to build them are in place. Then pull all workers to build them and put all families to work in them so that they bum rush the exposed supplies inside before it rains.
27:50 lmao
Got a problem? Call Tacticat! Have brain - Will travel!
👍👍👍👍
You said stones are not that important. This means you can't build castles and walls in this game?
You can build wood walls on the manor but no stone walls yet - you only need stone for a few building / you can trade it
Dude i got claimed in the first year august...... what are you supposed to do against this? start new? wth
Crazy
23 Minutes to Goooooooooo!!!!!!!!! Whoop Whoop
Mannnnnoooo loooooods
I wish i knew this yesterday before my trial and error. Played 10 times before figuring out the hunters stop hunting if you dont have a store house 🫠
Yep it killed me three times lol
