    I used to breed mealworms and developed a massive allergy to them. The frass is the worst- makes me sneeze and cough and itchy eyes and eventually swelling. I was feeding them to baby bats, and if the guts got in any scratches, BOOM! Massive welts and rash!

    I am going to breed superworms and woodies for my insect devouring reptiles, you use mainly woodies for the staple? I heard roaches can cause gout but read that any feeder insects can cause it if you gut load them with high protein stuff just wanted to know if you have info on that? Got me worried. I already have a gut load idea of capsicum, carrot, lettuce. Just want to know your thoughts I still will get crickets from the store for a bit extra for my staple.

      Hornworms idk, they aren’t actually worms their caterpillars. They will grow into a moth, so it would be complicated to have them

    What is a good wattage for a 12x30 tank?

    • @dennisberg2474
      @dennisberg2474 4 роки тому

      A lot has to do with the depth of the tank, typically you want 100 watt, but if it's deep you'll need 150 watt. Just make sure you get a sunglo bulb with UV output

      Are you among the same people who also say never to feed spinach or kale because it binds calcium? Just because they’re not healthy in large quantities doesn’t mean it’s toxic and will kill your reptiles. Ya’ll acting like reptiles are going to get Impaction or MBD from a single bite.
