Curt and Roland seem like very private people but also quite honest when they speak about their feelings. Every once in awhile their senses of humor break out and I really enjoy it.
You can tell that Curt and Roland are connected again and in a deeper & more spiritual connectedness. I notice that they look at each other when they’re talking, for example. When they reunited 22 years ago and would sit down for interviews like this one, they didn’t look at each other when one of them was speaking. There was still a wedge there back then. Now they’re embracing each other’s presence. Wonderful human beings, these two.
Love this new music. Watching the juxtaposition between the new and old. It’s like a fine made custom suit. It fits every curve and angle but in a completely new and unique way and is just stunning. And then there they go and slip into their jeans and tshirts from high school and it’s like it’s been worn so many times it’s molded and stretched so much that it is skin. They perfectly match in a yin and Yang way. Truly iconic.
The Seeds of Love, Elemental, and Raoul and the Kings of Spain were all albums produced in Roland's prime. It's a shame only one of them were produced with Curt and Roland together.
I am an entrenched TFF fan at 75, still loving their music. A couple of years ago Everybody Wants To Rule The World started at a Walmart and I started to do the Electric Slide. By the end of the song there were twenty or so dancing in the aisle. We received a "standing ovation" from a huge crowd...so much fun! Roland and Kurt, thank you so much for enriching our lives with your brilliance of song. BTW my favorite concert ever, including ALL concerts was the TFF one with Oleta Adams in Santa Barbara in 1990. That blew me away!!
I love this poetic discussion. And I loved “we still blame our parents” curt says which I get wholeheartedly - then Roland chimes in with his Uber dry humor “I just blame curt now” lol True to form. Then there was the Roland comment about the importance of Curt his longtime childhood friend..just touched me wholeheartedly.. plus they’re connected spiritually & emotionally, that’s super sweet for me!! ❤️💜🧡💙💛💖 The most interesting part of this tipping point song is that even thou it’s a bit dark & haunting it’s still uplifting to me.. like there’s hope for an afterlife connection! These guys have just made my last 2 years super special - and their music has made my entire lifetime too. I get to have a full circle concert moment when I see them in June 2022! I saw them decades ago in the SB county bowl concert series 1984 & 1990.
"Who's that ghost... What's that shape?" I had a hard time at first, with the title song. My brother died last year . I wasn't ready for the questions in that song... But it's grown on me, to where I love it . Helps me process his loss. Thanks for a thoughtful interview . --a fan since 85
Blessings my good friends! I just introduced you two to my grandchildren! We listen to seeds of love and I told them it had a secret message in this album, which I didn't know while I was loving the music! But then it came to me many years later and I just cried as I listened! How I now appreciate this album even more now! You have sowed the seeds of love in me! I love you both! SPARKON 🕊💞£€
Underrated Geniuses... When will the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame recognize these folks? Awesome live band, tremendous musicians behind them, and my God, how many people have sampled their work? Not sure what the criteria should be but I would say these folks have all the boxes checked. TFF to R&R HOF 2025!!! Make it happen
This Album keeps growing and growing on me . It is such a Fantastic Great Album . My Favourite track is Rivers Of Mercy ( Yess it is the continuation of Woman in Chains ) . Tears for Fears set another historical New Level with this album . So many songs that touches and flows perfectly . Unbelievable but This is 1 of the Super Classic in Decades .
This new album, and these two guys! - just like all of their older music, hits me right in the heart and gut, makes me smile, laugh and weep. So huge, no adequate words. Just so full of love, overflowing... I love you.
I love how Roland can be so serious and bring up difficult things as Curt is very supportive❤ i love this group so much❤ they are so so strong and they have huge talent.. wow i love them❤
Thank you from Japan 🇯🇵❤️😀l really love them 💘 Not relating to music, Roland's hair stylist is excellent ✨ ✨ ✨ I wonder what hair style wax or oil the stylist is using. Very nice hair. ✨
Fantastic album from beginning to end. I wanted more but im very pleased with what they came up with in this day and age. Im glad we’re seeing them in May in Texas.
I knew the first time i heard the Tipping point, i knew its TFF but i wonder have they come back after a long time?Their music has this distinctive tune that even though they aged its still very much in their system.
Really impressed with The Tipping Point album. Great music and the recording / production are fantastic the record (vinyl) sounds superb. Went back and listened to their first three albums on vinyl and discovered many depths that I’d missed when I was younger. Woman in Chains is in my top 10 songs by any artist. Going to see them live in Scotland in July.
Saw them this week at Hollywood Bowl 8-2-2023. My 12 yr old son was with me… he really likes their music. I grew up in 80s, lots of high school and college memories!!
Great new album. I’m really enjoying all of it. They do great work together and apart. But to see them together again is special. The music is amazing and the messages are true to all people.
Wow, . . . Tears For Fears, What a Group, What a History, So much joy you've bring us thru the 80's till now. "Everybody wants to rule the world", . . A Masterpiece, my Anthem of 1985!!! This song meant a lot in the 80's and it's reflecting what we are experiencing now, at this moment, March 2022.
holy cow Carina Round? I recognized her right away. First time i learned of her was opening for Puscifer in Charlotte NC in liie 2012ish. Shes got some amazing music of her own!
I want to see' Roland Orzabal in his original" shorter, dark hair again!!".in the 80's!!".. . i" don't feel him' as Roland in his Long white hair".at present!"...of The Tears for Fears!!"...---- from the Philippines!!"...
I always taught that Curt Smith would end up with the willie Nelson white hair and beard and Roland Orzabal would be the clean-shaven Napoleonic Image.
Could just be British reserve...but they do for the most part seem quite cold to each other. I hope they get along better than it looks here, because the album is wonderful and I would like to think they are happy about it.
I love how their voices meld together so well in all their songs.
Curt and Roland seem like very private people but also quite honest when they speak about their feelings. Every once in awhile their senses of humor break out and I really enjoy it.
Roland and Curt, you have crafted a masterpiece!
then why do they look so pissed off
You can tell that Curt and Roland are connected again and in a deeper & more spiritual connectedness. I notice that they look at each other when they’re talking, for example. Love your explanation it says it all about this most fantastically talented pair of musicians & people.
ELEMENTAL AND RAUL AND THE KINGS OF SPAIN REMAIN 2 OF MY FAVE ALBUMS. ROLANDS VOICE ON THOSE RECORDS IS IMPECCABLE.
The Seeds of Love, Elemental, and Raoul and the Kings of Spain were all albums produced in Roland's prime. It's a shame only one of them were produced with Curt and Roland together.

The concert with Oleta BEST CONCERT EVER!!! 👍
Wonderful Roland❤️
Such a treat watching TFF giving interview and playing their songs

true artists
Roland with that passive aggressive dig at Curt saying I just blame Curt now.😅
You obviously never watched their old clips from the 1980s when they got along...it was a joke
A masterpiece of an album, Roland and Curt, and what a solid live band you have there! 👍🏽👍🏽
Going person-to-person instead of relying on politicians to say or do anytthing that makes sense. Agreed Roland.

Listening to them you can close you eyes and it's 1985
holy cow Carina Round? I recognized her right away. First time i learned of her was opening for Puscifer in Charlotte NC in liie 2012ish. Shes got some amazing music of her own!
Happy to see you both, when will your Canadian tour begin ?

Olá! Você poderia ativar a legenda para nós? 😢🙆😁
KICK ASS SONG.. they've aged.. but it's like I'm back in the 80s.
Podes traduzir para o portugues?
One can never escape the past. Pop songs inspired by angist.
I always taught that Curt Smith would end up with the willie Nelson white hair and beard and Roland Orzabal would be the clean-shaven Napoleonic Image.
Lol boy were you wrong😅
@@psalmsurfer1 I haven't got over it yet.

Valeu a pena esperar 17 anos..... Parabéns Meninos!!! Top❤❤
She won't shut up I want to hear what tears for fears have to say.thank you finally.
bruh 😂
1:57 before she shut up and let the guys talk.
I love Tears for Fears, but i found the last album too full of melancholy, sad. But there are some nice songs like Master Plan and Break the Man.
ROLAND CREO Q PODRÍA SALIR SIN BARBA SE VERÍA MÁS JUVENIL. 🌹
Y cortarse la melena, está demasiado larga.
I actually love the hair and the beard... super sexy grandpa vibes
Gandoff & kurt !
this host likes to talk! hahaha
Why does it look like Roland and Curt had a spat before coming on?
Could just be British reserve...but they do for the most part seem quite cold to each other. I hope they get along better than it looks here, because the album is wonderful and I would like to think they are happy about it.
Why that woman talks like a kid's school teacher? The band is not amused. Lol
Good boys !!!
😂
Global warming lol really Roland. Cmon man😅
Yes global warming...just because you dont believe it doesn't mean Roland is in denial as you are...good on him
“Break the Man” is my JAM!!!
