Definitely can't wait for this structure deck in the TCG. Been waiting far too long for Charmers to get more supports in bulk. They still feel incomplete because we dont have the awakened familiars of Jigabyte and Ranryu, not to mention the Light and Dark Charmers dont have their link monster or their retrain familiars. I do believe we are still getting more supports in future main sets and I would love to see all of these cards be made in them very soon. Not only that I would love more spell/trap supports for more options of searches and giving the archetype a good way to use their playstyle more as well as a boss monster/win condition like an extra deck monster whether it is a fusion, XYZ, or Link-3 monster that can further give the deck the consistency it needs to maintain itself against other decks
so basically the same things as before the sd. Comes to show how lazy Konami was when making this.
@@rumovonzamonien yeah it's a shame Konami still has not completed the archetype and it's about time that all the supports need to come in together.
I mean you forget one thing: CHARMER's main strategy is stealing opp monsters of the same attribute, the familiar possessed are just for tributing opp monster and your charmer to summon them from the deck. they gave them very nice support in this structure deck in form of the field spell negator so your opponent cannot negate the take control effect, AND a searcher. plus they got "eda the sun magician" outside the structure deck and it REALLY helps the OG charmer's strategy along with protection from being negated by a monster effect via the field spell.
In duel evolution's build the main focus is on the familiar possessed and the link charmers who ye aren't really bosses (even if awakening of the possessed boosts their atk), there is no OG charmers who are originally the main focus because this is a charmer structure deck, not a familiar possessed one.
And yes, I agree the deck is still not too good, because it is very hard to support ALL 4 (to 6) attributes of the charmers at once AND in addition combining the OG charmer strategy along with a "boss" monster (which isn't really possible), and all that in one single structure deck.
they did a nice job though trying this imo, as the spells/traps give consistency, monster effect protection (which is essentially needed if you wanna actually resolve the OG charmers) and "kind of" bosses in form of the familiars' evolutions.
but ye the deck could need a second wave of support to be really good. for now it is a pretty nice fun deck though which I am happy about.
@@magemaster724 yeah regardless I'm really happy for this structure deck. They really needed search engines for the deck and most of these cards really do a good job giving us our spells and traps to our hands right away. Once the Wind and Water Awakened Familiars get released they would be amazing for disruptions as they could discard a card from the opponent's hand and send a card from their field to the bottom of the deck.
If there were any new support cards coming, what kind of effects would you say would need to better help the deck?

Charmer, un arquetipo que a pesar de haber tenido un Structure sigue siendo un mazo casi injugable, pero que al menos tiene el cariño de muchos jugadores, ojalá algún día puedan llegar a tener mas soporte y que sea fuerte, como por ejemplo nuevas versiones de Hiita, Eria y esas pero de main y que al menos no sean prácticamente Vanillas.
Bueno, teniendo en cuenta el cariño que está recibiendo este deck seguro ganará mucho mas soporte a futuro y recién ahí podamos ver un rayo de esperanza para este deck.
Ese deck siempre lo quice cuando salió en la generación original de Yugi, pero no hacía nada, gracias por el deck amigo, quizá lo arme.
Y todavía no hace nada.

If only Komoney actually completed the Structure Deck, I might be excited for it. It's already bad enough that Dharc and Lyna are nowhere to be found and that the original 4 Familiar Possesed didn't get the retrains they desperately needed. I can forgive those things. What I can't overlook is them not including the Awakened Possessed versions of Jigabyte and Ranryu, nor can I overlook that for some bs reason, they left out the link monsters! Oh! And you know that badass Rota they got? The one the SD is named after? Yeah, not in the base structure deck. Only in a Enhanced version where you still have a chance to not pull it! Again, they didn't pull this shit with the Sacred Trash SD. Because of this, I'm not as excited for the Ice Barrier Structure deck, because I feel like Komoney will do the same thing. Fuckin Konami.
The quick-play spell is guaranteed to get 100%. I've seen multiple people on here opening the structure deck boxes and 100% of the time they were given the spell card in the enhancement pack, they have the chance pulling the quick-play spell as either a super or secret rare. The only thing that isnt guaranteed are the alternate artworks of the Familiar-Possessed monsters, where they only come in as secret rares where the chances are low because the original artworks will also be secret rares. Deck enhancement packs are OCG exclusive only which means we are still 100% guaranteed to get the quick-play spell for the TCG release SD.

@@IamJerf I think what I don't understand the most is the fact that they just gave us five new tokens that include them, but nothing in the deck that summon tokens. That doesn't make sense to me

Kinda salty that they only included 2 of the four level fives in the deck, now ig feels incomplete without the water and wind level 5 pets, the sacred beast got such a complete support, like it is not meta, but it's no longer the brick it was... There was the wind in a jump promo I believe, but what about the water one?
Yeah I feel you on that. This archetype still feels incomplete with so many cards missing aside from new supports. I have a feeling we will get the complete set in future main sets. No doubt both the Wind and Water lv5 familiars will give the deck a better advantage for disruptions since Water will discard your opponent's card from the hand and Wind will send a card from your opponent's field to the bottom of the deck.
I really hope we get Lyna and Dharc's link monster and their retrain familiars as this would help so much with consistency and synergy. We are confirmed that the Jump promo, Wynn the Wind Channeler, is now imported into Rise of the Duelist so I think that's a big step for us. Its a shame this card does not benefit Charmers in anyway despite saying it is treated as a Charmer card so this tells me the rest of the 3 new Channelers will have the same clause. But this may tell us we may get new supports in the future taht could possibly make use of the Channerler forms.
@@IamJerf The artist who made those Charmers (Earth/Fire/Water/Wind) didn't designing two Charmers (DARK/LIGHT) so I don't think they're going to have their own versions. Plus, Dharc and Lyna's Familiar-Possessed had at least one extra effect in where the original four didn't contained.
Dharc: Add 1 Level 3 or 4 LIGHT Spellcaster monster from the Main Deck to the hand.
Lyna: Add 1 Spellcaster monster with 1500 DEF from the Main Deck to the hand, except "Familiar-Possessed - Lyna".
@@Fredcat11 actually she did designed Dharc and Lyna, she just never designed the Cataclysmic forms of the Charmers. I'm aware of them having additional effects from their Familiar-Possessed forms which was why I thought they would definitely get additional effects IF they ever get made into links
@@IamJerf However, the original fours got Link Monster forms, and one of them (Wynn) got Medium form. Dharc and Lyna are literally behind!

They can still make the other three Charmers in their Channeler forms but they may not do anything since they won't exactly be "Charmer" supports at all

10 buck Structure Deck...? Yeah, it can be afford, but for those extra stuffs that don't coming in the Structure Deck, then yes, it's expensive to building into this deck list.
To be honest, I am fine with Budget Version of Spirit Charmers. It's quite strong on its own, being able to beat Emperor of Darkness, if single Structure Deck vs. single Structure Deck (ignoring the cards being banned by current banlist: Dandylion, Level Eater, etc. that appear in "Emperor of Darkness").
The field spell is really annoying 😂🤣
Yeah, it's annoying if you're dumb and you don't know that you can just use first a monster effect for bait in order to activate next the monster effect you want. And from many of my matches against people the 90% don't even know that.
