The fry are looking amazing what are the white fish called in that grow on tank. The main pond fish is just super stay safe and well 🙏🐟🐟🐟🙏
Hi Kev, just read omicron has come knocking at your door, hope everyone makes a speedy recovery,I've had a bad chest infection since 27 Dec but it feels like it's easing a bit now, stay safe.
Rob.
Cheers Rob. Yeah me and the Wife got it New Years Day but we cleared up with 7 days and the youngster followed but we are all good to go. In honesty we were lucky and didn't really have any side effects. Stay Safe and Stay Indoors
@@AKoiEnthusiast glad to hear your all ok, stay safe.
Rob.
Nice one kev the fry are doing really well 💪💪
I might get one of those cloverleaf heaters as I'm using 2 aquarium style heaters 👌
Did you see stus impressions videos he's done a few UA-camrs I think I'm next I can't wait 🤣🤣🤣
Cheers Leon and, I'm not sure what you are on about lol, but I have a graph to check first. He's a K@#B but funny with it.

Fry are super active and the koi in the main pond looking great. I wish I could heat my pond but running costs would be unmanageable. Temp here this morning was -14C warming up to -5C and tomorrow night expecting -20C. Heater would be running at full power 100% of the time. Pond has almost 1" of solid ice on it this morning. Our coldest months (Feb. Mar and Apr) are yet to come. Welcome to southern Ontario, Canada. 🥶 🥶 🥶
Ouch, that's some serious stuff. I'm afraid you are right. Batten the hatches and keep an eye on the air holes. Thanks for watching
@@AKoiEnthusiast -19C here this morning and the pond completely frozen over but no problem for my koi. They are nice and cozy indoors for the winter and all very happy.
Happy new year mate 👍
Cheers Andy, Thanks and same to you and the family
Thanks for this Kevin, I’m looking at getting the 2KW version and this video has been very helpful. Cheers
Thanks for watching and I'm glad it helped.
Everything seems to be working well Kevin all the best for the new year to you and your family
Cheers Mike. I'm afraid New Year has brought us a dose of Omnicron so it's going to be a little quiet for a while. Stay Safe and Happy New Year to you and your Family too
Hi Kev, i've just purchased the 2 kw cloverleaf and was wondering if like in your video, the hosetails that are supplied, are they suitable for solvent weld even in clear plastic which they have supplied me with in the box. Thanks Rick
I believe they are fine. I have a few of the types of hose tails in my set ups and they have all glued fine
I didn’t think you should fit these vertically, I think it’s in case the water flow stops it will burn out the element. I have just fitted one but I can’t feel any noticeable temperature change in the water. Apparently they are very inefficient at high flow rates, which I wish I’d know before I purchased it. 🙈
Thanks for watching. The Cloverleaf unit I have has a low pressure flow switch which means it will not heat if the water flow has either stopped or is too slow. The unit needs atleast 4,000lph to work, any lower and it will not heat. Due to friction, pipe size and head I would recommend a pump of atleast 6,000lph if not higher. The pond needs to be covered and the pipes are insulated. Like all pumps if you move the water too fast it will take longer for the water to heat up. These are cheaper to buy and cheaper to run than the Elecro's
Hi sir, how are you? I always follow your beautiful and interesting videos. I decided to add a filter system from Oase. My pool is 15000 liters. Do you recommend a matching filter for your filter or, God willing, I should install the ProfiClear Premium Compact-L gravity OC filter?
Hi Kevin,
have you an idea what would the daily/weekly running cost of this unit be, 1kw running at 5000Lph .
Cheers
I don't have an exact price but my next Video shows the running cost of the large ASHP and also the total running cost of the two set ups. Even then individual set ups will differ due to insulation, water temps, Volume and locations
Hi Kevin. It will be interesting to see how the Tempest copes when you stock the inside tank more. I couldn't keep the water clean, always very cloudy. Same set up Tempest to heater to bakki. I've now put a spare 24 inch k1 micro bead filter before the Tempest and the water is crystal clear.
Hi what is the maximum flow rate? my pump is 12.000lph. Thanks.
Quality video again Kev… i used the Elecro 3KW Nano heater 3 years ago which is very similar to the Cloverleaf and they do a much better job than aquarium heaters… upset we have no Graffs to peruse on this update but I’m sure you won’t let me down on the next 👍🏻 take care and Happy New Year 🙏🏻
Cheers for watching and maybe I could rustle up a Graph or two if it helps lol. Feeling a bit rough at the moment so Stay Safe and keep up the Vids mate
. p.s. You know there maybe come backs for you. I may turn up on your doorstep
@@AKoiEnthusiast by all means if your down these parts pop in…. And when I’m up in Mansfield which is a few times a year I’ll pop over to you as your only up the road 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
