    When changing an exhaust do you have to change anything else on the bike. Also, do you need to inform your insurance company due to the modifications. Cheers

    • @Danasmith2816
      @Danasmith2816  Рік тому +1

      This is an Italian exhaust made to European air quality standards which are stricter than they are here in the states so there's no reason to change anything else on the bike unless you just want to. Typically in the past the first thing you do to a Harley is put a free breathing air intake on it and a free breathing exhaust and reject the carburetor or in newer bikes reprogram the ECM. The problem with this bike is there are no programmable ecms for it as of yet but hopefully it will be successful enough that they will start making them then we can see how much horsepower this thing can really make. LOL. As far as the insurance company the only thing I would be concerned about is if you have enough accessory insurance to cover the cost of the exhaust if something should happen to the motorcycle. Thanks for checking in have a great day.

    I have an extreme heat issue on the exhaust side. It is litterally burning me whenever this exhaust is hot and i am sitting on the bike. Anyone can share how they deal with this issue?

    How much $ ? Also, where'd you get the tail light/ directional mount?

    • @Danasmith2816
      @Danasmith2816  Рік тому

      The exhaust system with the carton fiber Shields and tips imported from Italy is about $2,000 American. The tail section which has the stock tail light and turn signals mounted to it is made by corporate seats you can find it on their website.

    How much did the bike cost with taxes?

    • @Danasmith2816
      @Danasmith2816  Рік тому +1

      At the time I bought mine MSRP was $14,999 but dealers were getting premiums because new bikes were so hard to get. I ordered mine and waited well over a month. I ended up paying $16,500 out the door with taxes, title, dealer prep and markup. Too high I know but I wanted one and was tired of waiting. Also I traded in an old Sportster and my Streetbob so I actually spent just over $1000 out of pocket in cash.

      @Dana Smith I got the pegs and stuff. However, I cannot shift this bike. The shifter peg I have to literally pull so far back it makes me lift my entire foot and yank it so far back to go into 2nd. How do I adjust this peg to be lower to the ground. I watched a video of another bike however this bike has 1 bolt on the arm and it seems to be at the very end. Idk what to do.

      @@nicoleorozcorealtor This shifter on the Sportster S is different than any other bike I've had. It is more of a lift and pull back than any other. One thing I did was to shorten the connecting rod as much as possible and that helped. also over the past several months I have gotten more used to it and it's not as difficult as it first was.

    • @Danasmith2816
      @Danasmith2816  Рік тому +1

      you're right. a lot of difference in sound between 45deg air cooled vtwin and 60deg liquid cooled vtwin. The sound is from the engine not the exhaust. this will never sound as good as my old sportsters did. even my 2018 107 Streetbob didn't sound as good as the Evo motors. But, the times they are a changing.
