It's funny how for centuries we've been trying to move 'forward' only to go back to rectify all the horrible things we did along the way

In order to achieve a society that would be defined as "sustainable" we would have to drastically overhaul our current systems both from a societal perspective and especially from an economic one.
Our environment is collapsing, our society is destabilizing and even our economy is becoming more and more unstable. The way we've been living for the last century is unsustainable, we use almost double the amount of resources the planet can produce and we still pollute far beyond the planets capability to endure. Our economy is pyramid scheme built on exploitation and greed.
So finding a sustainable model for society is key the planets survival and by extension our own.

As a consultant on change and author of The Circularity of Life, An Essential Shift for Sustainability, this video speak to what needs to happen. At the core of it lies our perception, to see ourselves, our societies, cultures and economies through a new lens - we are nature, we are not separate from that. Instead we are interconnected and interdependent with it. The web of life sustains us and indeed all ecosystems. We therefore cannot keep degrading and destroying the very thing that sustains us and all life. We have to sustain the web of life which means regenerating and restoring. We need to move to life sustaining practices.

I think there is a huge opportunity to use the technology we have now and the tech that’s yet to be invented to truly live in a much closer relationship to nature while still curbing climate change!

Subtitles in a few languages would make it easier to share.

Sustainable means you can do something indefinitely. Therefore "green" technology is not sustainable as it requires non renewable resources that have limited recycling ability.
