Over the past 20 years, lion populations in Africa have been cut nearly in half, with only 20,000 remaining in the wild. What are your thoughts on the efforts being made to protect them?
My idea is that we should put a bann on poaching and trophy hunting of lions in Africa. Law should made that Poaching and hunting of wildlife in Africa should be illegal and a punishable crime. If poaching is made illegal, Wildlife in Africa will flourish. Please save Wild Lions🙏🙏🙏🙏.
Also we can establish some wildlife santuaries and national parks specially dedicated for breeding and increasing the population of these wild lions and other wild animals too. Please save wildlife in Africa...🙏🙏
Love this so much. Proves just how much co-existence is a possible solution. I doubt this was an easy process, changing the mindset based on what they used to do. So really, massive step forward. I hope this will also deter poachers from trying to score a few kills. Good job Warrior Watch and Ewaso Lions. Thanks for sharing National Geographic.
As someone who is from the pastoral community of northern Kenya myself,I must thank the government through its initiative of wildlife reservation.we now get compensated by the Kenyan wildlife services in case lions, leopards, cheetah, hyena or wolves kills our livestock. That brilliant initiative has convinced us not killing the carnivorous as act of revenge.
These are the people that deserve the world 😭 they don’t stick blindly to old traits and traditions and accept that the world is changing and they do what they can to help the ecosystem 🤩
Now if only a native Indian tribe would protect the Bengal Tiger and a Native Siberian tribe will do the same for the Siberian Tiger. Can't forget about the Indo-Chinese Tiger, Sumatran Tiger, and other tigers still around. Tigers are the spirit of Asia. Must protect these beautiful cats as well since they can go extinct soon like their other subspecies that once roam the Middle East (Western Asia), Central Asia and all throughout the continent.
I like lions and the Samburus as well, it was heartbreaking to see two species that I like most kill each other, but now, it is so heartwarming to learn that the once lion killers are now turned, lion protectors
We need to realize that we are the most intelligent species on the planet and it has become our responsibility to take care of the planet, including all of it's life, because we have the power to destroy everything.
Nice job Warrior Watch,co-existince can be achieved for all generations of wildlife and human life! Every species has its purpose, evolution is preprogrammed!!
If we are creations of a singular god it is our duty as the most powerful race on the planet to protect and nuture those that have no idea as to whats goin on even ourselves as humans
It's soo sad when you realise that eventually all animals including the King of the jungle will eventually all be extinct. Regardless of our attempts to save them. What kind of a world would that be....😔
there are still millions of wildebeests, zebras, and impalas in that region. try searching the greatest migration on earth which is also a wonder of the world
They say you're supposed to lesve animals to nature. Don't feed or interfere with them, but it's like saying we should leave climate change to nature. We have to do what we can for them. Don't just pass by when they're starving and thirsty on your lovely safari.
lions run for their lives when they spot Maasais. they don't fear anyone else. you heard the part where the lions fear eating their livestock because they know the consequences

I would love to see the strategies used here to engage the ranchers in California who hate wolves.
Proudly Kenyan!!
This is what true warrior do💪
Protect those who cannot protect themselves
Ankit Ranga Yes, protect Not kill! Only silly ones kill with no reason... Yes to protect, Warriors!
Warriors are those that are willing to kill or be killed to protect their tribe.

Lions are beautiful creatures
They truly are! We're glad that more efforts are being made to protect lions.
@The Real Digger Barnes I wish but there are not
@@era_terrozer8660 They are
Thank you National Geographic for sharing, this put a big smile on my face...amazing what the warriors are doing.
0:55 most beautiful creature I've ever seen
These guys have more technology than the Amish. It's quite impressive how they preserve their culture so well while using technology.
Yes yes yes
This is progress !!!!!
Respect
for the change in good way
Wonderful warriors be blessed for protecting life.
Actually pretty nice to see a tribe getting in touch with the nature and protecting it
Its very gud to see that they now understand how much importent lions are....
*When times change, we learn to change with it🙌*
Thanks samburus for protecting our simbhas
No lions, no tourist bucks... no grant money.... no donations ... love the Range Rovers & radio tracking gear ! Wakanda forever !!!
Isn't all about money!
Theres hope .... Samburu warriors are a great example of how to save Lions from extinction from the wild 🙏👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Great, Masai you are my heroes!
These are the people that deserve the world 😭 they don’t stick blindly to old traits and traditions and accept that the world is changing and they do what they can to help the ecosystem 🤩
A night without a lion roar is incomplete..am from Kenya
Protect wildlife ❤️ thank you..

We are keeping them alive in captivity. There are more tigers in the state of Texas alone living in captivity than in the wild globally.

How sad and unattractive planet earth would be without beautiful lions, please Kenya protect what is yours, you are lucky to have them. ❤
We need to realize that we are the most intelligent species on the planet and it has become our responsibility to take care of the planet, including all of it's life, because we have the power to destroy everything.
Seeing tribe-men driving a car is very impressive. Big respect ❤
This is the true wakandan warrior
The Real Digger Barnes they care and respect their land, they are protectors . They are strong, that’s how ☺️
This is amazing
And I thought I got pretty dressed up for the office...they don't mess around with the get up.
This was a great video. Unexpected, yet I welcome it. Good job!
Nice job Warrior Watch,co-existince can be achieved for all generations of wildlife and human life! Every species has its purpose, evolution is preprogrammed!!
This warriors have more common sense than pouchers and hunters
These people have learnt over generations what we the 'educated' and 'civilized' will never.
I didn't know there are only 20000 lions in the wild in Africa today, even if it's only estimated it is still a shocking number
Amazing people!!💕
That's great.. It'd be very nice if people ALSO protect Tigers that are on the brink of extinction..
A tribe protecting lions. Meanwhile somewhere, some guy with a gun is shooting at animals for sport.
very touching clip! thank you :)
If we are creations of a singular god it is our duty as the most powerful race on the planet to protect and nuture those that have no idea as to whats goin on even ourselves as humans
meanwhile people are still trophy hunting, smh how was that okay in the beginning? I'm happy they recognized the problem before it was too late
Cleo 64 yes
I hope more people recognize this problem. Its heart breaking that the lions are thought to be extinct in 30 years.
Not only lions, sir but all the other animals are facing threat to their existence.
Well if you have hundreds of people killing that amount of one species several times for trophies than its a pretty big problem 3 : 36
Well i guess that is a little bit better than killing straight up one species
All hail Samburu warriors!!
We're Not Giving up on the lions without a fight we must do what we can to help them.
Salute to Warriors off gonna
Excellent video !! Thanks for share it .
Respect!
Goodd 👍👍👍

what will these lions eat?

where's mowgli'???
But it was probably not they who made the lions endangered, right?
They'll have to be rehomed if they kill anymore lions
The Ancients
Hi
Ok...so warriors are protecting lions but also protecting livestock from lions. Then what the lions would eat ?
The lions would have to eat wild animals instead of livestock.
what they ate before humans bumped around raising livestock.
show some dangerous to touch plants ..
I hope they're trained in using rifles because the poachers will shoot them.
I got the impression that they were protecting lions from locals protecting their livestock, not poachers...
@@shnbwmn i see, i think your right.
in my country kenya try to be a poacher and see u wont get far these days with kenya wildlife service having shoot to kill order imposed
