Nope, its supposed to work like that. The spell went off, its going to hit. It's not unique to aatrox and is consistent with the rest of the game. This is from the wiki if you have a hard time believing this. "Cast times cannot be interrupted by any means except by death. Anything occurring after the completion of a cast time will take place regardless of the caster's circumstance." It's always been this way, and is supposed to be this way.
