Such a lovely video. You’re friend was a delight to walk around and show us the special places. I love seeing the old buildings and especially the roof designs! Thank you Sinichi!!! 🙏🏻 💁🏻♀️
I'm so glad you happened to meet Hiro in your travels. What a happy coincidence! It was a joy to walk around with the two of you and get the benefit of Hiro's knowledge of local points of interest. I hope you two had a great visit off camera! As always, thanks for taking us with you, Shinichi.
We lived in Okinawa from 1985 to 1988, my husband was in the military. We lived in Makiminato area for almost 1 yrs an would walk to Naha to that area an it was always busy with people! So many that you could barely walk. I was very interested when I saw your vlogs on looking at what Okinawa looks like now. I don't recognize many places any more...
i love market, in my country the market open 3am, a lot people going to market during that time to get bargain and fresh item. Its really my routine in sunday morning lol, busy atmosphere in market make me calm.
I loved the walk through to pottery Street up to the restaurant that used to be a radio station. So pretty and full of history, just looking at the roof tiles was an amazing sight. Thank you sooooo much. This just makes me want to tour Japan even more, I feel homesick for a place I've never been and quite emotional. Thank you again.
So happy you had a quick walk through Tsuboya, one of my favorite areas to wander through! We actually ate at Nuchicafu, the restaurant you found at the end of your walk - very good! I hope you are able to find your new mug. There's a small shop called Yachi Moon that is maybe a bit more contemporary than the pottery store you stopped outside of (the one President Clinton went to). So envious - we would be there now if it weren't for COVID!
I also went to This takoyaki stand lol it’s like your following me just one year later :p they have good highballs too and the bars in the area that have started to open are very small and cool.
As a lover of octopus takoyaki looks absolutely succulent . What a quaint little spot to sit an enjoy wonderful food. Everything on the menu I would love to try . Such a beautiful place to visit in the near future . So nice to have met such a nice friend to walk with on your trip . He had so much knowledge of his surrounding he really made this video experience interesting. Looking forward to the next video with the pottery shops Shinichi thankyou 😎
I visited Hiroshima in the mid-90s and at that time, it seems the "signature" food there was takoyaki ... but now their "signature" food seems to be a variety of okonomiyaki...? Anyway, I want to make a certain kind of takoyaki where, instead of a chunk of tako in the middle, it's minced tako .... this is because well, I'm old, and I've joined a local sort of old folks' association called Yu-Ai-Kai which has, naturally, a lot of old people most of whom are older than me. And they often bring food to various things... well, takoyaki with a chunk of tako can be kinda hard to chew, and minced it might have better flavor too.
wow, is it really that warm in Japan in November? You guys are still wearing t-shirts. The temperature has gone down here in many parts of Canada and it started snowing a bit on Sunday. Time to put on the layers and snow-shoes.
Lol when I taught my friends to pop the whole piping hot takoyaki into their mouth, they thought I was nuts. Loooool I told them that’s how it’s originally enjoyed...and they thought I was lying looool...oh wells...
Hi Shinichi, what's the word you're saying when you're walking through the streets? It sounds like 'pronto'. As always, the side streets are where the fun discoveries are made. Arigato.
Hiro not covering his nose with his mask really disappointed me. The video was very informative and I thank you for taking us along for the ride, but I wish Hiro had worn his mask correctly.
@@lukasbiktjrn4822 I have had both as I love Japanese food and Danish foods. The pans I have seen for aebleskiver are like a flattened ball not a perfect one like takoyaki. Maybe there’s a rounder pan used in Denmark? I know that some people have used automatic takoyaki machines to make cake pops and aebleskiver so you are right there!

So great to get a tour with a local, thank you to you and your friend!
The house with stone wall and white stucco at the top is my "Muutu Ya". Arakaki Family. I grew up a couple hundred feet from there.
The pottery street is my dream destination!!!
I love this video, Shinichi!!

I was stationed in Okinawa in 92-93. Looks like a lot has changed. Wish I could go back.
I like Okinawa and planning to live there within 2 years. Happy to see you visited there. Blessings to you.
I love to see you happy had having a good time

Great video. And thanks to your friend. I often flag the restaurants and areas of interest on Google maps so I don't forget on my next trip.

Left Okinawa in July and miss it everyday 😭😭 can’t wait for the day I can go back and see my dear friends
I really enjoyed going on this stroll with you...seeing all the shi shi dogs brings back memories. I have them too. 💗
Thank you!

Okinawa is a tropical part of Japan and stays pretty warm all year round
I would love to photograph the pottery street.
Hey Shinichi and friend how you doing yes love ur T-shirt 👕 enjoy it meal and your friend company be safe 👍❤️

Okinawa is the Hawaii of Japan...hahaha
God it looks a lot like Southeast Asia even the weather is similar. Gotta visit there once on my next trip to Japan.
The only way to takoyaki is to eat it scalding hot 😂
I believe the restaurants in Okinawa prefer dine in customers, than delivery orders

I’m saying “honto” which means “really?”
Great, now I've another new casual Japanese word besides ummm (ano spelling? ) 🤜🤛
So exciting! Waiting for your video.
Very big takoyaki
They've got the biggest balls of them all
👍👍😊😊

*Nice Vlog , Appreciated & loved it*

Okinawans drive so slow all week, but on Sunday they ride motorcycles really fast.
hot guy @ 2:44 😍
Takoyaki Pan vs Aebleskiver Pan do they do the same job?
could be a cool video
Two different pans. Takoyaki pan has rounder spaces and thicker steel or iron. Aebleskiver are flatter spaces to make 3D ovals.
@@lmaree200886 Aebleskiver aren't ovald they are like balls. At least the ones my wife makes. Besides it could be a fun experiment that's all
