Savannah Spanish Six months ago I had worse and worse abdominal pun. I finally called my husband, who rushed home from work as fast as he could. It turned out I had to have emergency surgery. My husband was there every minute. Even though I was discharged the next day, he took the day off.

I think context is needed in why he did so, she wasn't in agony when he left as she was able to move and get into the bath, and it wasn't like he was up enjoying himself he was helping her mother, so its most likely he had a job/errand he needed to do that got in the way, but intended to not be gone that long.

I've never given birth of course but my cramps are up there on the scale, like I'd say maybe 7-8 out of 10. I had an ovarian cyst rupture once and I conservatively rated it a 9. Some people just don't realize how bad that stuff can get :/

I was out drinking and partying.. my periods were irregular due to my endometriosis diagnosis.. so I never thought anything about it. I was 25 when I had my one and only child.
My boyfriend ran off, and my parents disowned me because I wasn't married.
I had seen babies before, but never a newborn. I was completely alone.
I LOVED being pregnant...I would have loved to be pregnant for the rest of my life.
The day I went into labor, it was in June...mmmm fresh fruit.
I had eaten over a pound of fresh Bing Cherries...and, I got belly cramps so bad...but, cherries will do that?
I called the hospital, and explained my situation, Bing Cherries or labor?
They told me to come in, I could hardly walk by then, and they wheeled me up in a wheelchair to get checked out. I was in labor.
What I found fascinating was, when I wasn't having a contraction, I was totally pain-free. It was just like I had never had any pain, until the next contraction. I never received any instructions regarding taking care of a baby, and it's a miracle my son survived me.
I tried breastfeeding, but it was SO painful. My ni**les were blistered, red, and swollen.
So, I started bottle feeding.
I knew babies drank out of a bottle...but that's all I knew.
When my baby boy was always throwing up, I took him to the pediatrician. He asked some questions, I answered them.
I found out newborns don't drink a FULL bottle...only an ounce or two.
I'm sure he had a good laugh with his colleagues after I left.
I wound up being a wonderful mother, and my son DID survive my ignorance.
My family still didn't contact me for about 2 years.
They wanted to see my son.
They enjoyed my son but rarely spoke to me when I took him to visit.
No more family Christmas, other holidays, or birthdays for me. I was always alone. My mother and father passed away years ago. I didn't grieve for them.
Now, my 2 sisters, brother, and I have never been closer.
The funny thing is, years later, I found out my father wasn't even my father. He wasn't even my sister's father. What a hypocrite she was...constantly having affairs. I don't know if he even knew about my mothers' cheating. But, my sisters are twins and have blonde hair and deep blue eyes. I'm light olive-skinned, have hazel eyes, with very dark brown hair. They have curly hair, and my hair is straight. What father wouldn't be suspicious of that combination??
I just today, sent off a '23andme' DNA test...I'll soon know what nationality, and who I actually am! My sisters choose not to know.
