They were going to kill Rhaenyra's supporters at court anyway so they're fine with Cole killing off the one in the small council. I feel like Criston just can't handle the way court works. He thought it would be all honor & glory then reality hit. So now he's bitter about a lot of things, not just Rhaenyra.

The actress who played the madam at whose brothel where Aemond and Ser Crispy first go looking for Aegon was Fabian Frankel (Ser Crispy)'s acting teacher. Reportedly, Frankel was quite nervous during that scene; though it doesn't show at all. (thought the actress was perfect in her brief scene). Fabian Frankel's father, Mark Frankel, who died in 1996, was also an actor and quite good-looking as well.

The Lady of House Fell, who refused to foreswear her sworn oath to Rhaenyra, was executed by Otto in the book; presumably that's what happens to her here as well. Lord Caswell is the lord who called out to Rhaenyra and Laenor when they were bringing baby Joffrey to see Queen Alicent in Episode 6, giving his congratulations and offering to be "of any service" to Rhaenyra. Lord Caswell was executed in the book. His wife, when besieged by Green forces, hung herself from the gatehouse of her castle; as I recall from the book, she did so in the hope that the Greens would be satisfied with her death and not harm her children. (the children were spared and there is still a House Caswell during the reign of Robert Baratheon)

Otto sent the twin Kingsguards Erryk and Arryk to corral Aegon and bring the prince to him. Alicent, who wanted to make sure her father did not get a signed order from Aegon ordering Rhaenyra's death, sent Ser Crispy and Aemond to get Aegon and bring him to her. So, two teams went out to find Aegon, but the two teams answered to two different Hightowers. Also, the Erryk/Arryk team fractured.

In the books Alicent was the one scheming alongside his father to install his son on the throne, also Rhaenys never had this dragonpit moment. It's absurd to me too. Rhaenys killed half the population of the capital, the dragon's lair was destroyed and no one documented it? Yes, the main theme of story is about the absurdity of rigid gender roles. As a group, the Targaryens as not as patriarchal as the rest of Westeros which makes their values are out of sync with the rest of the nation.
I think there's an additional theme about the absurdity of monarchy as a form of government going on as well. Game of Thrones was also about this.

I didn't like what they did, it was all misinterpreted, in the book Viserys never said that his son should sit on the throne when Viserys died Alicent, I did everything for your son to be king and I sent men to kill Rheenyra and her children Alicent is very envious but a very strong woman
She only thinks about herself, she does everything to do harm to Rhaenyra, differently in the series they keep putting her as a poor thing and a son who doesn't know anything and who does bad things are the others, even her father and that's all wrong in the book who is a villain and is already Alicente in the series keeps putting him as a poor thing for me a big mistake in this series and the personalities of what she did with Alicent, Rhaenyra and daemon like that and is not obliged to be the same as the book but at least similar to the book in the series there are people who like Alicent I'm like what do you like about Alicent I'm sure if people had seen the book before the series they wouldn't be liking this snake
8:44 Alicent, she is a hypocrite, remember in the fourth episode when she tells Rhaenyra that the Targaryens have strange customs and now she married her son to her own sister like her and a hypocrite and she is a terrible mother, even the actress herself says that Alicent is a horrible mother and just to see how he treats his children, look at the scene with Helena and Alicent, when Alicent goes to touch Helena, Helena takes Alicent's hand just shows that Helena doesn't like her own mother and Olivia who plays Alicent I say that Rhaenyra is a great mother that she gives love to her children unlike Alicent, the only person who deserves to sit on the throne and Rhaenyra because she sits on the throne Alicent, Aegon or Aemond and only destruction
Viserys died of leprosy, but Alicent and Otto were giving a lot of milk of poppy, it is a medicine that is good, it makes you feel no pain, but when you give a lot of milk of poppy, it will start to hurt. So much so that the daemon smelled the glass because he knows that the greens are killing your brother, they are helping the king die.
I didn't like what they did, the reason for the war was completely misunderstood and putting that prophecy thing in the book they don't have that, I didn't like what they did with Alicent, that thing from episode 8 at the end in the scene with Viserys and Alicent and saying that all this is happening because it's a misunderstanding whoever read the book knows that it wasn't like that I didn't like it at all, I hope to see the real Alicent from the book he is a horrible person but she is very powerful and is not afraid I really hope to see this Alicent in the second season at least Similar to a book because this Alicent from the series My God
Viserys would never put one of his children he always said that the only person he wanted to sit on the throne is Rhaenyra the only daughter of the woman he truly loves the only one, in episode 8 rhaenyra was talking to her father about the prophecy but viserys didn't even answer rhaenyra because he had drunk milk of poppy after the end of the episode in the scene Alicent is viserys at that moment Alicent gave milk of poppy to him again so viserys started talking to Alicent thinking it was Rhaenyra because hours ago rhaenyra went to the his room then he thought it was Rhaenyra he started talking he was talking about Aegon's PROPHECY more like Alicent thought viserys was talking about her son Aegon but viserys wasn't talking about him, he's talking about the prophecy ( this is mostly talked about in the series Game of Thrones) but as he was unconscious at the time, he thought it was Rhaenyra he was talking to, Viserys would never put a rapist on the throne, and those people at the beginning of the episode at the meeting they said let's go start with our plan now And because they were already planning they were just waiting for Viserys to die, they are all traitors, it doesn't matter because he was already planning behind the king they were already betraying the Viserys they were just waiting for this old man to die they just they were waiting for this to happen and as it has now happened they are just going to continue with their plan And no one will question why they want a man and not a woman and if they question they will die as we saw in the episode, I wish they had shown more but unfortunately they didn't show much more in the book shows
22:31 I think Aegon won't listen to his mother, it's also because she just mistreats him (even though he deserves it because he's shit) but look at the scene between the two of them when he asks her if she loves him and then she responds that he's an idiot Even the actress who plays Alicent has already said that Alicent is a terrible mother and it was the actress herself who said, I don't think Aegon will listen to her but I know what will happen because I read the book Fire and Blood but don't worry I I'm not going to give any spoilers, this woman is shit, she even tried to manipulate Rhaenys in the scene between the two of them, you can see this in their conversation, I hope the writers show Alicent for real in the second season, a strong woman who doesn't let herself be manipulated and I I want to see Alicent from the book, Alicent from the book she is a strong person and no one manipulates her unlike the series that keeps putting it like (but she does these things and because of her father) In the book Alicent is rotten and very different. from the series that Alicent is weak because she doesn't speak her opinion and only listens to others and she is also very stupid, You said that you thought Alicent's attention was cool, that you didn't want them to kill Rhaenyra, I' m sorry but there's no way If this doesn't happen Alicent is being very foolish to believe this because what she is already doing is betrayal, is betrayal and death so even if she didn't do "I don't want to kill Rhaenyra ", but Rhaenyra has every right to kill her because it is a betrayal and Alicent really thinks that Rhaenyra will accept her brother sitting on the throne if it is her right, for God's sake, she is a Targaryen, the heir to the throne, she will never accept it, it will be a war, and she will not likes to know that her brother, the usurper who stole her throne, is that her father died is that no one said anything about her father's death because Alicent said no one could talk about Viserys' death they hid Viserys' death from Everyone, this is all a BETRAYAL
25:41 The scene of Rhaenys with her dragon at the end of episode 9 does not exist in the book, as does the scene with Viserys and Alicent at the end of episode 8. He talking about the prophecy is Alicent getting everything wrong.
