Good reaction, thanks! "Megitsune" is a total fan favorite, their most played live song and a it's really tricky to sing. It includes several parts where Su sings in "enka" traditional style. In live performances it's a huge blast. We really love when Moa tries to break Su doing funny faces or saying something funny during the mask part of the breakdown... or throwing Su a kiss like here LoL
There most played song always hypes the audience. You may have spotted the shenanigans going on Moa doing a kiss at Su during breakdown and Su no doubt sticking her tongue out at Moa behind mask . 🤘🦊🤘❤❤❤
_Sore!_ hey man thanks for coming back with more BM songs and good to see your kitsune up \m/ i see you get this live compilation with newer live version from 2 live shows, one of them is at "Yokohama" (also known as "The Sun Also Rises"), that's what SuMetal shoutout during interlude, althou i get why you pick these vids i highly recommend you to *AVOID* live compilations so you can not messed up with different venues, special events and you won't lose any important details and info, remember to look up for Babymetal Reactor Resource channel to get watermark logo vids safe to reacts ;) During live performances they mostly do that intro with that heavy breakdown everyone loves, kinda spoiler if this is your first time hearing but anyway is a blast and like you hear with Kami Band in it way more heavier. The official MV is recommended but probably you'll get a copyright blocked issue unless you edited that with some watermark and whatnot, you'll see the girls very young because this is one of the earliest BM hits and is another all time high favorite, you hardly see not being performed at live concerts. Song is about female empowerment and is really powerful when you get to know the lyrics. Megitsune means "female vixens" that's why you see those fox masks here, and it's part of pretty important of BM lore. That SuMetal kick is always made at live concerts, official MV is different, you'll see on your own, i'm not gonna spoiled you that ;) Since this was in 2019, after YuiMetal withdrew the group, the third backup dancer here is 14 yo avenger Kano Fujihira, "avenger system" was introduced that year to helping out our girls and fill the 3rd spot, there were only 3 of them till this day (Riho Sayashi, Kano Fujihira and Momoko Okazaki) The whole theme of 3rd album is about travelling in a spaceship to many other galaxies to get to know other metal "planets", that's why the album title is *"Metal Galaxy".* And of course the production is top notch to match up the concept so you can be feel part of that travel. Fox God is amazing \m/ Enjoy your NFL night, till next time mah man and always put your kitsune up! \m/ _LIVINGLEGEND_ _NOTACULT_ _10BABYMETALYEARS_
BabyMetal performing to a Japanese crowd is just insane. The reason why people mistake The One as a cult is because of that Japanese crowd. The crowd at their Forum concert was nearly as insane. I’ve only been on the smaller BabyMetal shows in the US. The crowds were full of energy and excitement. But those were maybe 2,000 people. Imagine 10,000… 20,000…. 55,000.
If you have time, you should check out their official MV for Megitsune: it's really well made, and the breakdown is much more brutal... Here you can hardly hear the pig squeals :D They made a few concerts with restriction on who can go, and there is a video of Megitsune (a song about female empowerement) in a All-Female audience: it's really epic :D You might find the link at the Babymetal Resource Channel, there is a video with a link to good live performance, look for "Megitsune" at Red Fox Festival :)
The words "seiya, seiya" is a strange word that even Japanese people don't know what it means. When carrying treasures called "mikoshi" at Japanese shrine festivals, people shout "Seiya, soiya". It is said that what is called "mikoshi" in Japan is very similar to "arc", and I think that may be true.
From the Babymetal Reactor Resource ua-cam.com/video/q40VmTHSh4c/v-deo.html Going forward, if reactors want to keep reacting to the videos, I've come up with a solution that will make it possible to continue using the videos with logos that have already been tested against blocks. I've made a spreadsheet - docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZYdthVAHYaOAYL6AuhVOHotQinMoPPFEuspqDMIIGD4/edit#gid=0 with links to both the logo videos and the non logo videos and are hosing them on a Russian social media site that won't remove them, and is out of the reach of the copyright trolls. There are a bit over 30 videos on there now, but I'll keep uploading more every day until they're all back up. I'll also be adding new videos that I'll test on an alt UA-cam account before adding to the spreadsheet. If you can't access the spreadsheet for whatever reason, here are direct links to both the non logo videos and the videos with logos: No logos - ok.ru/video/c6630874 With logos - ok.ru/video/c7184602 For reactors that want to put your own logo over the videos, here is a link to the logos I use that are already made transparent - drive.google.com/file/d/1JUVfJGp36xR2n1FHl7PzRIxXhA5P4VyW/viewor you can use whatever logo you'd like. You can download the videos, which I recommend since the site can be a bit laggy sometimes, from this free website - sovid.net/ I recommend using the "HD" option when downloading to keep the file size reasonably small. Although there are other videos on my channel there, only use the ones on the spreadsheet because some of the other non logo videos aren't UA-cam safe. Kitsunes UP!
I would love to be at a Babymetal concert where the crowd engagement is that good. I mean, it's always good but I'd love to hear the rafters shaking :) I wouldn't worry about the compilation videos unless it bothers you. Non-compilation videos are almost always the best choice, unless its anything from Glastonbury. Avoid those, but If you have to use a compilation video its really not that big of a deal. At least half the reactions are done to the comp videos. There are a couple horrid ones out there but most are reasonably fine. The awful ones tend to rearrange the song, have the wrong guitarist or keep flashing back and forth from red tutus to black dresses. There's been a spate of complaints about synchronization issues lately but its a little odd because those videos have been around for at least a year and they've been reacted to many many times and I have never heard about sync issues before. If I go back and watch the suspect video myself I am not seeing these issues. Maybe it's reception issues??? I don't know.. I'm not sure such a thing exists but there should be a resource somewhere that makes note of the worst fan-made videos so they can be avoided.
Hope to see you get back to reacting to BabyMetal again soon. Suggest these be of their most recent performances. Kagerou Live ua-cam.com/video/jMIxIG9DuRY/v-deo.html
Good reaction. I agree with Jake Muller about compilation videos, this one isn't bad but if you carry on with them you will eventually come across the bad ones that are out of sync or that cut the song up and it will spoil your experience of that song. 'Megitsune' regularly tops fan polls for their favourite BABYMETAL song even though it was one of their earliest. It is also the song they have played live more than any other and remains a feature on most of their live set lists. The breakdown with the pig squeals where Su came out with the mask uses the exact melody of an old and very well known Japanese folk song called 'Sakura Sakura' (Cherry Blossoms). When Su did the high kick she said "Otome wa ... nametara ikan zeyo." (Maidens ... shouldn't be underestimated). This is a famous quote from a Japanese gangster movie said by the daughter of a gang boss.
⚡ 💀 💕 / 🦊 ⛩ "Megitsune" = "me" + "kitsune", which is "female" + "fox". It's pronounced something like: "Meh-gih-tsoo-neh" (the "ts" in "tsu" is like the end of a word like "hats") Generally every syllable is pronounced in Japanese. There aren't any words with a silent "e" sound like "tune", although "u" is often de-stressed, especially at the end of a word.
Good reaction and glad you enjoyed it. I usually don’t like compilation videos since they are normally bad and just don’t display the real experience of a song, but this one wasn’t too bad. Babymetal used that type of moving stage on several occasions (Legend S, Legend M, the Yokohama show, and several other to get closer to the crowd. Some of those platforms also can be moved up and then they used pyrotechnics underneath, really sick stuff :) Babymetal shows, especially in Japan are just amazing because the crowd always goes nuts. Hopefully we can see them again next year after their hiatus is over!
Good reaction, thanks!

This song is quite hard to sing, so Su-metal uses it often on soudchecks to check her voice condition.
Kitsune up/4
The girls also use that laser armed rover to fight Godzilla when they are called upon.

"Sore" pronounced "so-reh" isn't translated here. It's just in Romanji letters. It means something like "let's go" but it doesn't translate well.
Love this version🔥
