THE 7TH ANNUAL DATE WITH DAD DINNER AND DANCE

This is our signature celebratory event, originally created by the girls taking part in Camp Diva. Date with Dad features interactive activities within a highly-festive banquet-style setting equivalent to that of a ball. It's an afternoon where dads and their daughters of all ages dress up in formal or semi-formal attire and enjoy a red carpet entrance with interviews by a local celebrity, a catered dinner, live entertainment, contests, prizes, photos, special guests, and of course, lots of dancing!
Camp Diva also honors a group of dads with Real Father Awards as the result of letters written about them by their daughters.
We emphasize the importance of the father-daughter relationship because the father is the first significant man in his daughter's life and he plays a unique and essential role in the development of her image, confidence, and self esteem. This is a time for dads and daughters to have a special "Date Night" to bond, and for dad to serve as a model date to his daughter. This will be a night that both dad and daughter will never forget! This event will also benefit the CAMP DIVA SUMMER RETREAT Scholarship program.
The goal of the event is not only to foster better communication between fathers and daughters, and provide a place for them to spend some all-important quality time, but also to demonstrate the importance of the father-daughter relationship and show that despite the high rates of father absence there are fathers who are active in their daughters' lives...and loving it!
