wow this is incredible to see the teachers reactions. I have had great teachers over the years and even though I have changed majors in grad school. One teacher stood out. She is probably fed up with me for thanking her but she was amazing. She works in an area of health that no one wants to work in. Yet when I had long COVID she supported me even more either one of us realised I had long COVID. instead of judging me she made me feel I was worthy of respect. I must have sent her heaps of thank you notes in the time that I had her.
When I was 3 I suffered pneumonia and I had to take surgery, the teacher I had at school came to the hospital and gave me a teddy bear even though she's been my teacher for less than a year. I named the teddy bear after her and I took it EVERYWHERE with me. When I was 8 she left the school and I remember I wrote a letter to her. I still have the teddy bear (I'm 23 now) and everytime I see it I remember her and just hope she has a great life.
Teachers now a day doesn't know what kind of impact they truly make on us until they see it, until they hear it. They deserve so much love and respect.
I’m almost done with my degree to be a teacher. Now that I’m with students daily I know why I want to be a teacher. You fall in love with your students and that feeling alone is what keeps you motivated everyday even on the bad days. I now have a new level of appreciation for educators ❤️
I'm a teacher and I had a hard time watching this. We try so hard to help anyone to achieve their goals, whether it is at school, university or, like in my case, a language school for refugees. Yet, there are so many boundaries and troubles with students, parents, the ministry for education, the school, underpayment, the list goes on. With so much responsability and so less positive feedback it is a tough job. But it is worth the effort, even if you think "Why am I doing this to me?". Teachers form the people of tomorrow.
I’m crying with them

Teachers are the fucking shit bruh. smh does anyone have any recommendations on how to support teachers?
Love this energy! Some ways that come to mind to help is to look for teacher Amazon wish lists, contact the school board about opportunities, etc.
