Just like nootsara, Jia usually do her drop shots when the opponent's middle blocker serves. As we know middle blockers are the "weakest", in terms of defense. Since they also serve the ball, there is a lesser time for them to cover up the space in zone 5. With that, Jia usually drop them before the middle hitter cover up that space.

0:04 this one, obvious talaga na walang aatake kasi galing pa lang lahat sila sa gitna. Si Maraguinot medyo nagkabanggaan pa kay De Leon, which makes Bea's attack slower too. Morente is in the zone 1 and Gequillana is the one who received the ball. And of course, Tan can't attack. So, Jia has no option than to dropball. It's still funny that it was still a point although there's no really a choice. But I don't blame DLSU tho, everyone thinks that a rally will finish in 3rd touch and a dropball mostly happens if the setter is in position.

Between ferrer and fajardo, Jia really standsout she's really an opponents coach nightmare, i saw the plays of two setters, yes they're really good but Jia has the highest IQ in setting. . .
