- Today we will be reviewing the Mcfarlane Toys DC Multiverse Green Lantern DC Rebirth John Stewart action figure.
John Stewart is a former U.S. Marine who uses his
military training and discipline to protect Earth, and the
rest of Space Sector 2814, as a member of the
intergalactic peacekeeping force known as the Green
Lantern Corps. As Green Lantern, John wields a
power ring, which creates a protective shield around
him, allows him to fly, and generates hard-light energy
constructs in the form of anything he imagines. Fueled
by willpower, Green Lantern’s power ring is one of the
mightiest weapons in the universe!

This figures are so good, they lack fist hands like crazy but they are some of the best figures ever made, if only they were smaller
I prefer a more detailed look. It makes the figure more interesting. I can’t wait for a Hal Jordan since he’s my green lantern

"20 dollars if you live in North America"... I don't know why, but thank you for recognizing that in other countries the figure collecting hobby could be more complicating (or expensive).
I got one reserved at Amazon. Now I need a Wonder Woman. Not a Batman story oriented Wonder Woman, one from her own comic. Perhaps one based on her Rebirth costume, it's my favorite design.

Just got mine today. I loved the figure. My only gripe is that it didn't come with a flight stand. Otherwise, it's a well-done figure.

I’ve never had a line where I had more than than 3 green lanterns. Can we please get Hal , guy , Jessica , and Kyle please. They would look amazing. I wouldn’t mind some aliens too

Just picked this up today thanks to this review! Anyone else planning on using this for a stand-in Snyderverse Green Lantern? I feel like the costume aesthetic has some Snyder-y design sensibilities.

Just opened this guy today along with bizarro and man McFarlane gets me saying wow out loud even now and then with these figures. They aren’t all great but damn some of them are really good
Haven’t bought any of his latest waves other than infected Superman for a custom. As a classic DC fan, I’m just waiting for Todd to move on from all these obscure spikey gun yielding Batmen

The colors are pretty simple but I love the details in this figure. Come on Todd, more of this!

I waited months to get this guy and I’m mad at myself for not getting him sooner. This is a great looking John! I was waiting for Hal, and I will get him to when they do the single release for him.

The fact that johns minigun is that detailed makes so much sense since John is an architect. So all of his constructs are super detailed down to the nuts and bolts
Architects don't make guns. Do you mean just more in the broad sense that he's, "technical"? Otherwise it doesn't really make sense.

You're thinking of Kyle Rayner's constructs. As an artist what he creates with his ring is elaborate and detailed. Jon's are more precise and direct.

For what is essentially an all black suit with a large green accent. The detail really gives it personality. Otherwise it would just come off as a standard buck in black plastic.

Hoping for literally anything more to do with Green Lantern
I got this as soon as I saw it because I really wanted a John Stewart and though I've probably bought about 50 to 60 figures since I got John, he's remained one of my favorites. The sculpt, paint, and articulation are spot on. He's a great example of McFarlane improving with the license. Any personal changes I'd make? Maybe to add a construct sniper rifle. But, given the b.s. "no guns" rule now, I'm grateful to have that minigun. I have my John standing, with both hands on the two handles. He immediately draws the eye on the shelf. I wish I had gotten the DCAU Stewart as well, even though those guys's proportions don't really translate well to action figures.
Edit: WAIT! Holy crap! The Mezco is THAT small compared to the McFarlane?! I mean I had been wanting to get that figure forever, but dang man!
For $20 McFarland Toys are the best in the market for the value. They will always look amazing on your shelves. Unique sculpts too.
I swear the Todd Father does everything ass backwards on purpose. Totally refuses to conform to modern standards. And no more lanterns without LANTERNS please.

I know nothing about John Stewart Green Lantern, but I bought this figure anyway, and I love it. I think that's the sign of a truly good figure.
The best John Stewart head sculpt by far (terrible fade haircut notwithstanding) and I just got the notification that mine is shipping soon. But why is there no flight stand? Sigh...

If they are to do a Guy Gardner figure they should add a glowing effect for his ring since his willpower is always off the charts. Hal jordan i think should come with pieces of a mech suit or a baseball bat construct

I love the fine molded detail and would love to give the figure a little light and shade, the constructs would benefit from the citadel oil shade

Well said! Second figure from this company and both are quite good. Head is great and perhaps the best yet for the price. Would have really liked an alternate head since John is very expressive. If not a specific vintage look, I don't mind the modern take and deviation.
Imagine two alternate heads in a sort of "ultimate edition" featuring him clean shaven with his original afro, and his JLU design where he's bald with the gotee. Badass!

I hate the theme music. Seems rehashed from some throw away gospel or r&b from the early90's. U need some heavy guitar and power drums with some rock sax thrown in for good measure😀
The headsculpt looks like David Ramsey who plays john diggle from arrow who becomes a green lantern in the series finale
Now that you mention it I can see that flavour in this headsculpt recipe for John.

More hands and extra head sculpts would be better than unessasary panel lines and football shoulder pads
His proportions are really really wonky. His legs aren't long enough when you compare them to his arms and over all upper torso. His head feels small to for his chest. This is a very wonky weird looking bizarre figure. His for arms are weirdly to long. Which makes his legs look to short.
