I've always taken this song as commentary-- not on mental illness, not on an artist's struggle, but commentary on what it is to be human. We ALL can relate to having that negative voice in his or her head. What? you don't think it's good to get in people's head? I think that's the essence of true art: it makes you think, it makes you feel! Please, MORE REN!
OH! I always love fresh blood! Welcome to the WONDERFUL world of Ren! Renegades are the best people on the internet, and for great reason! Ren is a beacon of genuine love, and a breath of fresh air in today's world. I always recommend his 1 million subscriber speech to get to know who he is and what he stand for. ENJOY THE RIDE!
I agree --- 75🇺🇲 I haven't intentionally listened to another artist for 1 1/2 years. Recently I found a band to hold me until the next Ren track - "Lake Street Dive"
I totally respect how you guys feel about this. He intentionally reaches into the mental space and emotions of those who watch. For some, it is downing and hard. For some, it's cathartic. For me personally, as someone who deals with strong, "chronic"mental health issues, this performance is so validating. It addresses self- doubt, imposter syndrome, and in general that negativity that we as people deal with daily (some more/stronger than others). From my understanding, he isn't religious, but he uses wording because it helps some people connect to the feelings, the thoughts, the struggle... because we all see these struggles differently. From exploring his other "personal struggle" music, not only is he doing this for him, but it is also reaching and helping so many. He also has a lot of music that isn't based on his personal struggle and is more hip-hop or rap. It's worth looking into more of his catalog, for sure.
If you have any interest in looking into more of his work, I would be happy to give you some insight (without ruining them) into what I have heard, so you have a better idea of what route you want to take because he does have a wide range. Just an offer.
I went down the Ren rabbit hole more than a year ago. It is deep and fun and serious, all at the same time. I think Ren is going to be a generational talent. You should explore further. Try “Losing It” for a Ren song completely different in tone.
😂 I’ve heard this song over 1000 times over this last year and a half. It’s a masterpiece imo. He has some deep songs, but he has a lot of other songs that aren’t. You can’t put Ren in a box. He does multi-genres and plays multiple instruments 🎹 🥁 🎸 This is the song that sent me down a rabbit hole that I still haven’t come out of. And I have no desire to leave.
Ren sings about the darkest side of humanity & makes it beautiful. He is also a funny and cheeky character. Ren will make you cry, laugh and think. He raps, sings, plays guitar, instrumental and a storyteller…etc. Once in a generation type artist.
This is a live one take song. The more times that you watch it the more you realize the talent that is on display here. A song in drop D. I could go on for awhile about how unique this song is, I won't.
Interesting for me to see what angle you came at this from. The monologue at the end was Ren being totally transparent and authentic. There are millions of people who are struggling through not only mental health issues but also chronic health issues. They have been beaten down and discounted by society and the medical community. Ren was house bound and bedridden for 7 years before finding the correct diagnosis. By listening to his struggles many feel seen and heard. He is, in this song showing us everything and allowing himself to " stand in the fire and inspire the meek to be strong." That is what all the hype is about. If that is too heavy for you, maybe watch Murderer and the acoustic version of that. Two very different vibes and both excellent rapping. BTW: Don't know how old you are bur Ren us now 34 years old and his 2nd album Sick Boi, was #1 in the Uk last Oct.and his video Money Game 3 has won several internaional music video awards.
Definitely an Artist that can not be defined by one song. He's like the Swiss Army knife of music. He does his theatrical musical art pieces like this, but also has plenty of main stream structured songs with beats, production, singing, rapping etc...🕳🐇
I've watched all of your Rush reactions.... I've seen them 53 times, but I have watched over 200 reactions to Hi Ren.... Glad you finally got to it.... Absolutely masterfully done in my humble opinion.
Totally addicted to Ren since January 2023 Never been disappointed yet Surprised often He has opened my ears to music I wouldn't have tried before Ren has suffered from Lyme disease for 14 years 7 undiagnosed while it attacked his body and brain Hope you give him a try maybe privately to get an idea of his talent and diversity Many have said he reminds them of Prince talent wise He is also a compassionate and inspiring person
hello dears!! great reaction to our man ren!!! imho, a huge amount of renegades are invested in him because we are sick/crazy as well as him. i'm 72 yo, still crazy after all these years, and ren rocks my world. i am happy that you don't have a handle on mental illness, and that's not a dig against you. to understand crazy it takes crazy sometimes, i'm glad you don't understand crazy. i sub'd for more ren reactions, it will be fun to watch your minds bloom this summer!! let's gooooo...... kathleen 🙃
Most of Ren's music is not the style of music I go for, but there is something special about Ren. This is just one tip of a multi tipped iceberg. You will see if you continue your Ren journey. Good reaction guys!😊
Thanks for taking a look at this amazing GENIUS... I'm sure you'll reach the same conclusion the more you dive into his amazing works of art. Liked & subscribed in anticipation of you reacting to more Ren Cheers 🍻😀
Not all Ren’s tracks are so “heavy.” If you want some fun Ren tracks, try What You Want, Loco, Losing it, The Hunger or Power. His catalogue is immense and incredibly diverse. Dive in! The water’s warm!
Ren is a multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter/rapper, poet, storyteller, actor, director. produces his own beats and all these attributes are self taught. Not everything he does is this heavy or "Artsy" but everything he performs is captivating, entertaining and he can't be put into a single genre, he bends and blends them at will and always successfully. The rabbit hole is deep, entertaining and utterly rewarding. As an independent artist yourself you knows the struggles of the industry but Ren is a master at building his audience without the trappings of a label, so much so that his last album "Sick Boi" went #1 on the official UK charts. His band "The Big Push" has many original releases that you'd find more your speed and much of his earlier solo work as well. His next album is more melodic and less rap, unlike Sick Boi which was more rap then melodic. Hope you and your wife decide to explore more of his genius work. Cheers🍻.
PS... ya Gotta do more Ren... suggest his Chaulk Outlines, Praise You, Jessica, for a better picture of Ren! Again... aint No Bad Ren tracks... outta 10 random tracks... maybe two will be similar! Buckle up!!! Seriously! Lol

I have listened to this song a lot. It touches the center of what it is to be human and a way to navigate the pitfalls and also give grace to others who are struggling. To look away because something is hard to see is enable the pain to continue. Ren and his music have changed my view of others and their struggles.
Welcome to the world of Ren. He really is an absolute genius. It is kinda hard to put Ren in any one genre for he is so very versatile. Enjoy and and see you on the next vid.
Enjoyed your reaction, subbed and liked. I’ll follow as you watch more of Ren he never ceases to surprise and amaze me. He’s a musical lyrical genius with so many styles done to perfection. Enjoy the ride! ❤❤❤
"Wouldn't listen to it again, because it makes me feel bad"???!!! Well some people obviously need to stay on a shallow level. He didn't overthink, he was misdiagnosed and medicated for the wrong thing, which made him worse!!!
I love Ren! This was the first Ren video I watched and was amazed like everyone else. He has a lot of talent ans performs in several genres. His work is intelligent, his lyrics are clever. Ren does his videos live in one take. I watched him receive the news that his album was No.1 in the UK last winter. I also loved watching you do all the Queen reactions, and hope that you will do some more: Hint: Innuendo album, Barcelona album videos.
13:30 if you start reacting to Ren, be prepared for a lot of that. While he definitely has many different vibes, most of his material is heavy. I remember seeing clips of this on Justin Hawkins' channel and thinking something like "cool, but I don't see myself listening to it more than once" I was very wrong. Fine reaction.
Please have a listen to Ren doing "I shot the sheriff" with his "Big Push" band busking. Or another song "Losing it" Even in your own time. Only fair you see just what a multi talent he is snd fun too. 😀
I think it is laden with "artist tropes", because that is what he is. But as your wife mentions, poetic. Capable of multitudes as human beings. Everyone needs "the voice that you hear when you loosen the noose on the rope." Seriously Walt Whitman, 'Song of Myself' - 1855. 😊
Riveting, like a train wreck you can’t look away from, watching him and his subconscious. Very brave, eternal dance, very creative. The lighting, hospital gown and bare background added to the message and mystique. Good true reaction video from you both, but I would watch it again, because I may get more from it the second time around.
Best of British 👍 So talented and varied...Ren is so humbled by his illness journey but incredibly inspired. Dig deeper...he's a real find. Also, it would be great to see you lovely folks check out Band-Maid's 'Hate?' Official Live...from the 10th Anniversay concert, and absolute 🔥 showcase from these unstoppable Maids. Singer Saiki's lyrics will amuse for sure 😁👌🤘🤘🤘
In case they didn't get the reference, "A rising tide lifts all ships".. it's a phrase Ren has mentioned and embodied for a while now, quoted in the above-mentioned 1million subs video.. which I, too, concur is a must watch as you traverse the rabbit hole. Welcome to the RENegades. ×͜× જ⁀➴ -ˋˏ🌈ᥫ᭡
His music covers many genres. He writes, plays, and produces his music. He lets out a new song pretty much weekly. He had a contract with Sony until his misdiagnoses Lyme disease caused him to lose his contract. He recently had the #1 album in England. Go down the rabbit hole. It is amazing
My favourite Ren track is "Ready For You". Oh, also "Lost All Faith". And of course "Genesis". Oh, I love his cheeky "Uninvited"...darn it, too many to mention! I'm 70, Ren's a genius.
Welcome to the wonderful world of our lyrical genius Ren. Ren is 34. He’s an amazing artist and a beautiful soul. Every song is different. Good reaction and subbed for more.
You can't go wrong listening to Ren, he's an amazing artist and covers nearly every genre including Rens own genre. I will let you go down the rabbit hole because there's so much. And I admire his talent as much as Rush !! 🤘
Nice commentary, folks. I suggest you watch 'Sick Boi' next. Just so you know, Ren is agnostic; he states this emphatically in 'Eden'. The verbal imagery of the devil and angel are just that. I find the reference to be appealling since he really mentions 'Temptation' and 'Hope' specifically. Our demons are internal; our hope is internal. His final lines are a reference to us being human and not gods. But the way Ren structures the lyrics appeals to those on both sides of belief. The objective is for us individually to realize that balance is the key to success. Balance your hopes and dreams against the harsh reality of life, but never stop hoping or dreaming.
Once you learn about his long illness history (real shit) certain songs like this make more sense. The rabbit hole is deep, but thankfully so varied. Try an old track like Jessica, penitence. Show different sides to his craft.
I am sure by now, you are like, what the hell is happening here with comments and subs? 😂 There will be a moment, a little way down the rabbit hole, when you will understand the obsession.❤❤❤
If u think the Nightwish, Epica, Sabaton rabbit hole is deep Ren is perhaps deeper and more diverse....poet, philosopher, singer, pianist, guitarist, rapper (and I mean rap rap),...
Not hating but im pretty sure you didn't understand what you just watched. You babbled about nothing really and to say the ending was a diatribe was totally baffling.
Never thought I would see you reacting to the song. I’m here for it. A friend of mine said I’ve never heard the greatest guitar player in the world. I was like what do you mean? He said probably the greatest guitar player just did it in his room and never put it out there for the world to see. Your commentary made me think of that.
There are countless ‘unknown’ or not well known or ‘local’ musicians/artists that are really great and for all kinds of reasons don’t get the notoriety or attention of others. My dad said it was like that when he was growing up too.
@@JustinPanarielloi would think that would always be true..in more than music as well! There is an intersection of talent and skill/ balls to put it out there/ and the luck of having it seen by the right people. Ren started guitar at 10,producing at 12 and rapping and singing soon after that . HE LOST A DEAL WITH Sony at 20 due to his illness and came back independent with a small group of loyal friends and fans.
Subbed for more Ren reactions , once you go down the Ren Rabbit you will be hooked, he drooped a Number 1 Rap album in November 2023; in the UK, you will not meet a better lyricist in todays music He writes his own music, can play acoustic guitar, electric, bass guitar guitar, piano, and drums, he produces as well, he does reggae, rap, rock , ballads, he can basically do any gendre even metal, yep best artist to come out in a long time and has an enourmos catalog of music
I’m not sure you really got it…? At least all the talking afterwards about artists and overthinking vs just doing seemed like a strange thing to fixate on. Not sure if you were talking about Ren or he just inspired a conversation about things in general? Also how old are you/the husband? Maybe I misinterpreted what you intended to say, but it sounded a little like “I have more life experience so I know that Ren should just stop being so in his head”. Firstly, Ren isn’t a kid. He’s 34. Secondly, he has been through HELL and gained a lot of life experience and wisdom, so he most definitely knows what he’s talking about. Which leads me to the other thing I wanted to say… you/the wife saying the song brings you down definitely makes me thing it went a little over your head or that you are lucky enough to never have had to struggle enough to recognise what Ren is trying to say. This song is about human nature, acceptance, and hope. Ren is an inspiration and has literally saved lives with this masterpiece. Oh well, Ren isn’t for everybody and that’s fine. Just unfortunate that you seemed to miss the message. Glad you at least checked it out cause everyone deserves the chance to let Ren into their lives ❤🐰🕳️
I am still watching your reaction, He is a lyrical genius and has a tragic story. I post this small explanation should give you a little incite. A lot of his music deals with his past illness. He is very very intelligent and pretty much a regular bloke in his vernacular.. LOL Ren has been through some nasty shit, I copied this and post it on new reactors messages. He was bitten by a tick when he was 16 or 17 He got really sick from it and went to doctors and they could not figure what was wrong with him. When he had joint pain, muscle spasms, skin rashes, boils, internal organs started shutting down, And Doctors had no idea what was going on. He was loosing weight and had constant fatigue could not even stand to shower.. Doctors started sending him to psychological evaluations, They told him his mind was making him sick ! And started treating him for that with some heavy pharmaceuticals. And all that shit really fucked with his mind, He started believing he was crazy. And this went on for 8 fucking years !! 8 YEARS !! He pursued his own symptoms and lead to a Doctor that gave test for Lyme disease. Where he lived it was very rear to ever contract Lyme disease so he was never tested. When he went in described his symptoms the Doctor knew what he had. Ran the DNA test and found it in his system. However it has been in there for 8 years and has done a lot of damage to his body. He can only eat like 6 things his bones still hurt and the autoimmunity may never be healed. He had to go into surgery to remove tissue to generate stem cells grown outside his body then under go treatment taking the stem cells to help with the autoimmunity and help heal his deterioration of muscle, and a very aggressive antibiotics regiment to cure the Lyme disease chromosome. That was in LA then he went to Calgary and under going treatment on the damage the Lyme left.. He is still there until June. Welcome to Ren he is a talent I have never seen. And I have seen a LOT !! He has 209 songs on u tube no joke I pretty much like them all new and old !! His older lyrical videos are great try, every
If you do the tales of Jenny and screech make sure you do the full version trilogy Jenny screech and finally violet's tale in that order otherwise it won't make sense 13:30 minutes of 🧠💥 great reaction btw 👍👍✌️
Yes, over thinking, self doubt. I am creative and like to design things. I don't always like to share because of my doubt, will they like it, would they buy it? stuff like that. It finally dawned on me, I do it because I love doing it, and I love what I am making even with the voices in my head that might call me stupid or lazy, or lacking this or that skill. It can be a battle. On TOP of all that, I do have some health issues that hold me back from more than I am capable of. Heart failure for one, and slow vision loss, chronic pain are huge factors. Every day that I feel good and want to work on something, I get that nasty voice telling me so slow down and relax, it will get done, maybe not perfect but it will be done.
Imagine being in so much pain that you cannot even stand up. For years. Now imagine being in a psychotic state because you can no longer stand the pain. That vicious inner voice is dramatically amplified, and much more sinister than we would experience. When he says "When I'm gone maybe I'll be remembered....." he did not think he would live to be 30. He didn't know he had Lyme Disease yet.
Does "overthinking" mean deep thought? I don't think "overthinking" is a bad thing and it's much better than "underthinking". Especially when answers aren't easy to come by yet have the power to release you from real angst in your life. Food for thought anyway so thx for the reaction.
Overthinking causing paralysis. Inaction. Spinning you in a circle. Or thinking so much in a circle you find a way to justify your biases which may or may not be accurate. That's what I mean or am talking about regarding overthinking.
Everyone connects with this. No just artist steuggke. It represents the factual human condition. We are neither just good or just evil but of the animal kingdom and exist in a constant flux of that battle. Good luck to you both but as a Dr. Of Philosophy I don't get people who don't get these fundamental truths. ❤
I recomend you Sick Boy Also, believe me, you will have to get used to it if you continue reacting to Ren since he will play very heavy songs, not always but often that is how his songs are, without further ado to say welcome to the world of Ren
I originally found it somewhat odd too. But now I think of it more as an epilogue in a 5 act Shakespeare play. Think Puck’s famous ending monologue in Midsummer Night’s Dream-“If we shadows have offended…” Like everything Ren does, it has a deeper purpose.
What you were describing as "not overthinking" and all that is basically the message of "Hi Ren." I'm not sure if you picked up on the fact that there are three characters in the piece. In the beginning, it's the negative voice, the self-critical voice that's arguing with "human being" Ren and beating him down. This obviously peaks in that middle bit where the voice identifies itself as "the snake in Eden" (i.e. the thing that ruins your potential paradise) and "the beheader of all kings" (i.e. the thing that keeps you from rising to the top) and points out that it's eternal, you can't defeat it, "you have to kill you if you want to kill me," etc. That voice threatens to overwhelm the "human being" Ren. But then, after that middle bit, a third voice comes in: The voice that identifies itself as "hope." It says it's "the voice that you hear when you loosen the noose on the rope." And that voice - the positive voice, the angel on the other shoulder - reminds you that, like the negative voice, it too is eternal. It too can't be killed and will always be there. And that's when Ren stands up and sings at the negative voice to "cower at the man I've become," etc. It's Ren doing exactly what you're talking about: Not letting the overthinking overwhelm him and take over and rob him of his creativity or who he is as a person. On the other hand, he's also not in denial about the fact that the negative voice still exists. And we get that in the spoken word portion at the end, where he shines a brighter light on the theme of the entire piece. Yes, as human beings, whether or not we're artists, we all have that negative voice to some degree. For some people it's stronger than for others but it's always there for everyone. And if you fight it like it's something that can be defeated and gotten rid of completely, you're going to suffer because it never fully goes away. BUT neither does the other voice, the voice that gives you strength. Ren's summary is that being human is a dance between the different parts of yourself, learning to move with the good and bad as they occur, to whatever degree they occur within you, instead of fighting one part of yourself (in vain) and blaming yourself as some sort of failure whenever the negative thoughts pop in again. It's reminding you that after every rain, the sun will come out again. And, equally, at some point, it'll rain again and that's okay. It's the musical version of "This too shall pass." As a musician yourself, you might be interested in the construction of the music as well. Not only does each voice have its own guitar pattern that matches its character, but in the intro you'll notice that the chords he's using have a weird interval in them that indicates the darkness that the song starts with. In the middle, ofc, it's all climbing chromatics, building the tension and unease of the negative voice's message. But by the time he reprises that intro bit in the outro, he's incorporated both parts - the light and the dark - and jams on them, singing and dancing with both the light and the dark, thereby illustrating the theme of the whole song once again. I've seen some people take this song as being about dwelling in the negative thoughts but those people are missing the meaning of everything after the middle section. The song, ultimately, is an affirmation that feeling bad, being ill, or worrying doesn't make you a bad person or a failure because you can't control yourself or "be normal" or "like other people." Having those thoughts is just part of being human and, just as we all have that dark voice in us to some degree, we also have the light voice. It's a song about giving yourself a break, letting yourself be, and not letting the overly critical part overwhelm you because it's only one part of you. A lot of people have found this advice - or being reminded of this advice - to be very helpful. I know I did. I stumbled across this song when I was at the deepest part of a horrible depression that had gotten so on top of me that I was spending almost all day every day thinking about how much I didn't want to be alive anymore. At first, this feeling worried me but, after a while, I just didn't feel anything anymore and was not too far from checking out early, so to speak. One day, I randomly clicked on "Hi Ren" (because YT had been suggesting it constantly for a month or two) and, man, I cried. A lot. For the first time in a long while, I didn't feel alone. And the spoken word portion of the song really put things into perspective for me, reminding me that there could be a light again after the dark. And that, if there was another dark after the light, that was okay because, knowing that, I could ride it out. Instead of "cursing my clumsy footsteps," I could just relax and dance with life. Honestly, I don't believe in magic or miracles but I will say that "Hi Ren" found me (or I found it) exactly when I most needed to hear it. And, since then, I've learned to navigate my depressions and anxiety instead of just getting battered by the waves and then blaming myself for not being able to swim against them. Also, when you see in the comment sections under Ren videos and Ren reactions how many other people were feeling alone and beaten down before they discovered Ren and found a voice and a strength that they were previously struggling to find, it's powerful. When you're in those depths, it can be hard to remember that it's not just you and that you're not completely alone in the world.
I suggest you you check out his other stuff, then maybe come back to this. Also, perhaps read what people say that relate to the struggle of mental illness. It may give you a bit of insight on the things that make you uncomfortable. Just a gentle suggestion.
Maybe Ren really isn't for you. Every Ren song I've heard has been different than expected and a surprise. The boy has as many facets as a sequin suit, but let me tell you something: I stopped three times during Hi-Ren and had to sort through my many thoughts before I had the courage to continue listening. The play explained the illness of paranoia far too realistically for me. It really affected me. I had to process that first and I consumed Ren with much more caution. I think it's crass that you didn't even stop and talk about what you'd heard. There are two of you, I wouldn't have been able to. It would have been more interesting, by the way, because I've heard the song 100+ times by now and I can see the reactions to it. Almost every Renegade knows Hi-Ren the first time. If you want to give Ren another chance, check out "The big Push", it's about music, soul and having fun with these elements. I think the "Bongo Bong" cover is great, although the "I shot the sherrif/ Road to Zion / HipHop" medley is probably more impressive.
Im 62 and this young man is quickly becoming the artist of my lifetime 🇬🇧😊
Same here. I'm 60 and haven't seen a creative genius like Ren, for decades. Not since Bowie 🔥🔥🙏🙏
Same..55 yrs old.
He does multi-genres and plays multiple instruments 🎹 🥁 🎸
This is the song that sent me down a rabbit hole that I still haven’t come out of. And I have no desire to leave.
Me as well… it’s an absolute masterpiece. I still find it very curious when I see reactors not fully connecting or getting it. It’s pure genius
Agreed. From opening note to closing credit it is truly magic. Godly inspired. No content has ever touched me as much as this piece.
Ren sings about the darkest side of humanity & makes it beautiful. He is also a funny and cheeky character. Ren will make you cry, laugh and think. He raps, sings, plays guitar, instrumental and a storyteller…etc. Once in a generation type artist.
Well said. This old Florida man misses Tom Petty, but so thankful to find Ren
I've went down the rabbit hole with this guy several times...pure artist!
The stunned look on her face HELD THERE for a while lol. Mouth agape - you can't fake that lol. Those are my favorite reactions.
Totally addicted to Ren since January 2023
Never been disappointed yet
Surprised often
He has opened my ears to music I wouldn't have tried before
Ren has suffered from Lyme disease for 14 years 7 undiagnosed while it attacked his body and brain
Hope you give him a try maybe privately to get an idea of his talent and diversity
Many have said he reminds them of Prince talent wise
He is also a compassionate and inspiring person
💯
Welcome to the wonderful world of ren, where you can always expect the unexpected 🤗😁💜💜
hello dears!! great reaction to our man ren!!! imho, a huge amount of renegades are invested in him because we are sick/crazy as well as him. i'm 72 yo, still crazy after all these years, and ren rocks my world. i am happy that you don't have a handle on mental illness, and that's not a dig against you. to understand crazy it takes crazy sometimes, i'm glad you don't understand crazy. i sub'd for more ren reactions, it will be fun to watch your minds bloom this summer!! let's gooooo...... kathleen 🙃
I loved that you just listened to the whole song first. I love Ren's piano songs just as much. As an old Sting fan, 1974 is ky fav..
It flew way over your wife’s head, like 10k ft above her head. It also flew somewhat over your head as well.
Love it how they just put a like on every comment.... 😂
This is how you know they didn't actually read the comments
You may find that listening to another reactor do this performance will give you a different perspective.
Best artist in decades...
Enjoy your trip through the Ren Rabbit Hole. The most talented artist working today!
Most of Ren's music is not the style of music I go for, but there is something special about Ren. This is just one tip of a multi tipped iceberg. You will see if you continue your Ren journey. Good reaction guys!😊
Ren is awesome
Thanks for taking a look at this amazing GENIUS... I'm sure you'll reach the same conclusion the more you dive into his amazing works of art.
Liked & subscribed in anticipation of you reacting to more Ren
Cheers 🍻😀
Not all Ren’s tracks are so “heavy.” If you want some fun Ren tracks, try What You Want, Loco, Losing it, The Hunger or Power. His catalogue is immense and incredibly diverse. Dive in! The water’s warm!
i saw your thumbnail and remembered rush reactions and saw Ren omg im going to enjoy this
Just remember, if you were severely ill, misdiagnosed and mistreated for 15 years you are kept with the need to heal and that takes time.
Seriously! Lol
He is a rapper and a Bard. He's Bardcore. He is a Lyricist. He also produces most of his own stuff.
Ren has lots of styles.

As a metal-guy, I really appreciate dark lyrics like this. There are enough meaningless lyrics in this world.
Totally agree!!!
Enjoyed! Welcome aboard. Looking forward to more Ren.
You’ve got to check out The Tale Of Jenny And Screech. It’s brilliant!
Her reaction was just beautiful, perfect! What a sweet pair of human beings!
Please have a listen to Ren doing "I shot the sheriff" with his "Big Push" band busking. Or another song "Losing it" Even in your own time. Only fair you see just what a multi talent he is snd fun too. 😀
Agreed..just with the I Shit the Sheriff" video, look for the mix including Road to Zion and Hip Hop, and ofc the RED SUSPENDERS 😊
One of the most profound pieces of art ever created.
The Tale of Jenny and Screech full trilogy is a must. Phenomenal performance art.
I think it is laden with "artist tropes", because that is what he is. But as your wife mentions, poetic. Capable of multitudes as human beings. Everyone needs "the voice that you hear when you loosen the noose on the rope."
Seriously Walt Whitman, 'Song of Myself' - 1855. 😊
Welcome to Ren. Best rabbit hole I've ever been down. Renegade all the way!
Here for REN. Follow-up with Sick Boi
Renegades will follow all of your reaction, as in his Million subscribers video. Take a trip and all boats will rise
Justin welcome to the Rabbit Hole Ren is like no other so prepared to be amazed...thanks great reaction guys👍👍
I've watched over 1000 reactions to this song 😮
There are one or two songs i know by this guy (yes it was Rush), is from his viral videos
He busks like aheck.
Bro yeah, hea crazy good.
Ren is 🔥🔥🔥
buckle up.
actually, the more you listen to it, more Hope grows in you..
If u think the Nightwish, Epica, Sabaton rabbit hole is deep Ren is perhaps deeper and more diverse....poet, philosopher, singer, pianist, guitarist, rapper (and I mean rap rap),...
The next generation appears. Make him great ❤
Not hating but im pretty sure you didn't understand what you just watched. You babbled about nothing really and to say the ending was a diatribe was totally baffling.
Ren is pure talent. REN, the Big Push are both incredible! Is that your daughter? She’s beautiful!
my wife lol
Subbed for more Ren reactions , once you go down the Ren Rabbit you will be hooked, he drooped a Number 1 Rap album in November 2023; in the UK, you will not meet a better lyricist in todays music
He writes his own music, can play acoustic guitar, electric, bass guitar guitar, piano, and drums, he produces as well, he does reggae, rap, rock , ballads, he can basically do any gendre even metal, yep best artist to come out in a long time and has an enourmos catalog of music
Thank you for the uninterrupted experience 🎉🎉🎉
LOL
Ren has been through some nasty shit, I copied this and post it on new reactors messages.
If you do the tales of Jenny and screech make sure you do the full version trilogy Jenny screech and finally violet's tale in that order otherwise it won't make sense 13:30 minutes of 🧠💥 great reaction btw 👍👍✌️
so, wellllcome 😁💪
🎉🎉🎉
Ren es un genio..
Thanks for your example of overthinking , suits you well!!
@@tomkramer3794 idk what youre talking about
@@tomkramer3794 What a perfectly triggering comment to make towards an overthinker. Gratitude or insult... hmmm!
@@JustinPanariello Really well defined. Thx

WELCOME TO THE REN-AISSANCE!
Haha, the kitty knew. Cats always know.
Nice thoughts Justin & Mama P.
I recomend you Sick Boy Also, believe me, you will have to get used to it if you continue reacting to Ren since he will play very heavy songs, not always but often that is how his songs are, without further ado to say welcome to the world of Ren
Intriguing, beautiful and disturbing all at the same time. Not something I'll be checking out again but I'm glad I got to experience this.
Wow hearing his spoken word at the end as a diatribe is bizarre to me.
I originally found it somewhat odd too. But now I think of it more as an epilogue in a 5 act Shakespeare play. Think Puck’s famous ending monologue in Midsummer Night’s Dream-“If we shadows have offended…” Like everything Ren does, it has a deeper purpose.
I don't think this reactor knows what the word "diatribe" actually means. 😂
It's the musical version of "This too shall pass."
As a musician yourself, you might be interested in the construction of the music as well.
Catching flies ok the left for the whole song lmao ❤❤❤
What was the weather like on Mars .?
I suggest you you check out his other stuff, then maybe come back to this. Also, perhaps read what people say that relate to the struggle of mental illness. It may give you a bit of insight on the things that make you uncomfortable. Just a gentle suggestion.
Gwart
Maybe Ren really isn't for you.
Every Ren song I've heard has been different than expected and a surprise. The boy has as many facets as a sequin suit, but let me tell you something:
I stopped three times during Hi-Ren and had to sort through my many thoughts before I had the courage to continue listening.
It was live and in 1. Take the whole videeo
