Obviously I am a big fan of the streamlining, but I love this variation as well because with the side skirt panels removed, we can see the full detail of the valve gear that you have so wonderfully recreated!
WOW on that interior and on the model/modelling of this beautiful piece of engineering so thank you bud and keep up the great work on these models for train sim.
Though I'm personally more partial to the Q1/2, especially the Q2, I gotta say this locomotive has won me over and I can't wait to haul some tonnage with her.
i wonder if on this one the enlarged sand dome will improve its tractive effort slightly, since thats what it was for in real life to put more weight on the drivers
@@DSGDDR im pretty sure in videos about the s1 they mention they gave it a larger sand dome to put more weight on the drivers and it helped slightly so im unsure lol
Hello DSGDDR, first of all I would like to thank you! It's an amazing model! Great job! Obviosly you make your locomotives with a lot of love and dedication! So congratulations on that! But I have a question. Do you have any idea why my S1 has no back coupler (at the back end of the tender)? This is preventing me from coupling any wagons to it and I am forced to drive it without any passenger train at the back....
@@DSGDDR I will try to reinstall it. I think that I've just dropped the files in the game folder without using the Utilities.exe. Maybe that is the problem. Thank you!
@@DSGDDR Well... no luck so far with the rear coupler problem. But at least the engine itself is runnig great. I much enjoy driving it (even without any passenger cars behind) at full speed. And I can say that it is pretty stable for a long rigid locomotive with not very good factor of adhesion. I've managed to reach a maximum 133mph on Sherman Hill with slopes betwen 1.5 and 0.8%. It maintained 120mph on 1.5% grade which is impressive in my opinion. And the derailment occurred at 133mph on a bit of a sharp turn (tender tilted fist, locomotive followed it into the ditch). So overall a great engine! And for that we are all grateful to you.
The engineer is not using the fuel efficiently. The smoke should be WHITE. Any other color the engineer needs retraining (no pun intended). Any other color also means high pollutant. It is embarrassing to see THICK BLACK plums of smoke. People are glad those beautiful machines are gone because of it.
Dude. It’s a simulator game. And I don’t know why this even came up to the point you made it a comment on a Simulator Addon. But it was definitely not necessary.

In the words of Spy from TF2. Magnificent
As soldier once said : *Jorge Washington would be proud* and makes even more sense because its an american giant beautt of locomotive

I’m excited for the release. I have been waiting for a long time for this.
Entendo
That's an extremely good model, I'd say on the same level as the T1 Trust's model of the 5550.
This locomotive looks incredible! I’m really excited for its release!
This beast is bloody gorgeous🤩i cannot wait until this drops. amazing work man👍
Would you be able to please make a model of the UP 8080(i. e. The Coal Turbine Locomotive Prototype) in Train Simulator?
Very handsomely crafted model.. Great work! How do you manage to get your game to run so smoothly?
Stunning!
