32:29 The first time they ever played Psychosocial. Can't believe it's been almost 11 years!
and the best guitar+ corey's vocals. this is even better than his 2009 voice
Yep, my favorite Slipknot show.
-Corey's voice is brutal af
-Stage presence 10/10
-Incredible setlist
-All Hope Is Gone
This show is something else man.
if only corey's voice sounded exactly like this the whole ahig tour. He sounds so brutal.
He is sounding like this again ! Check out the shows in the 2021 ! So awesome !
Now THIS is Slipknot. I dont even recognize them anymore. Sad. RIP Paul and Joey.
This festival will go down in Slipknot history for three things.
1 - This is the *only* time they played All Hope Is Gone live, as of November 2020.
2 - This is the first time they played Psychosocial live.
3 - Sid broke his heels. You can see him making his way to his booth at 35:34 on the right to continue.
You can also hear Corey calling out for Sid at 37:18, just barely.
Spit it out tambem foi tocada pela primeira vez depois de muitos anos em sua versão original
I have 4 things to say:
1-They started with surfacing
2-spit it out was played as the album version
3-First time they played psychosocial
4-Only time they played ALL Hope is gone
Man Jim really went for it in this show
@@AutoEssentialsUK i think he still on his prime, to much energy at the stage
3:30 Surfacing
7:38 The Blister Exists
13:14 Get This
17:58 Spit it Out
20:48 Before i Forget
25:28 DIsasterpiece
32:28 Psychosocial
38:18 The Heretic Anthem
43:03 Prosthetics
50:10 Duality
55:50 All Hope is Gone
1:01:23 People = Shit
caleb neal ha was gonna say .... where’s sic ? They play that EVERY show
5:14 BEST TRIO IN THE WORLD
Jim is fucking going for it here. I still love modern Slipknot, but there was no unity in any band in all of metal history quite like the original Slipknot lineup. Seeing them all throw down like that together is something special.
36:23 I love the way he sings it
The first and only time when they played (the song) All Hope Is Gone live :(. Man... such a banger and underrated song. It sounds almost like death metal....
6:59 BEST HEADBANG MICK THOMPSON
The vocal is a mix from vol. 3 and all hope is gone.
Just amazing
late, but its actually the same technique as volume 3 just lower(yelling with false cords and letting your voice break up). it's got a lisp here due to bad quality.
Joey's little waving at the end of DIsasterpiece is everything.
Paul giving the horns right before they start 😪
Surfacing 3:24
The blister exists 7:40
Get this 13:15
Spit it out 17:56
Before i forget 20:42
Disasterpiece 26:21
Psychosocial 32:26
The heretic anthem 37:23
Prosthetics 43:08
Duality 50:08
All hope is gone 55:50
People equal shit 1:01:29
@@wildbill1185 This isn't the whole performance, it cuts off during people=shit, and their encore for many years now has been mostly people's shit, (sic), and surfacing.
@@hotshot0476 well that's almost the same setlist they played in Toronto that year except for all hope is gone....
@@wildbill1185it was odd that first mayhem. They only did 10-12 songs a night on that tour.
I don't know if anyone else noticed, but you can see Sid Wilson (dj) moment's before he broke both of his heels, on a 10ft fall. 30:22
Only time I hear AHIG vocals being ferocious
Matter of fact this one of slipknot's greatest era they're all young still and they have the original lineup for the most part
@@Rvench he means that this is the only show of ahig era were corey sound like the actual album. Ahig was great, but nowhere as good and brutal than ST or iowa era.
@@biagi7416 theirs way more songs on ahig that are better imo then any of they're other albums
30:19 the exact moment that Sid became the Sid "Broken Feet" Wilson
This is the best voice of corey
makes every song more heavy, brutal, also best masks, prob best slipknot era
@@mirtacoronel3493 yeah after seeing a lot of slipknot videos
I love this brief moment before they release the AHIG, Corey's voice was amazing, if u see a 2009 concert, the voice is kind of different, its literally a brief moment.
Seen them in 2008 & 2009 and both sounded 10x better than they did in 04-05 in my opinion. They were excited for this tour and they put on some of the best Slipknot shows ever recorded.
@@soundgarden6478 AHIG era was great of course, just people use to underrate it, but yestarday I went to my first show with them and if they sound GREAT even now that they're "older and tired", I can't imagine the way they used to sound in 2008
@@cisnerosweb4690They definitely sound better now! Well, Corey does at least.
Their energy was unmatched. The crowd feeds off of it
I made a promise to my son
MARCUS OURAY SAVAGE..that if Slipknot came thru Seattle..we would go. I kept my promise, and WE are in this General Admission Pit. White River Amphitheater 2008. This was Slipknots FIRST SHOW WITH NEW MASKS. What a memory.
Slipknot for life
It’s so rare seeing Spit It Out being played the first 18 minutes of a Slipknot show and without the “jumpthefuckup” part.
What a brutal show 🤘🏼
I think the venue didn’t allow them to do the jumpthefuckup part which is a shame.
RIP Joey Jordison and Paul Gray 😭😭😭😭🕯️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I got to catch them twice on this tour. December 2008 was the first, Download 2009 the 2nd. Standing a few rows from the front.
30:20 Sids Final Moments Before Breaking His Heels
Best slipknot concert
What a weird setlist order, starting with Surfacing, Spit It Out in the middle, and People = Shit at the end, this is really unusual
30:22 Photo taken before disaster
I somehow had this on a burned DVD disc as a kid, and would watch it while going to bed or getting ready for school..
One of the best visuals. Love the suits
The Slipknot tight Emo pants era. They looked really cool honestly.
Looks like just Jim and Corey wearing the tight pants. Everyone else is baggy.
Jim looks great in a tight pair of pants. I can't stop looking at his legs, my god...
This was a brutal show. Underrated venue.
Thank you for bringing such a great memory. I went to every single mayhem fest, what an incredible tour. I remember this being an absolutely incredible performance at their stop in IL.
Chris, Joey and Paul :(
@@littlehellxo their history with slipknot can never be erased, the band knows this. I’m still a big fan nowadays and think WANYK Is a fantastic album, but being a teenage at this period is soooooo nostalgic
I’m here cause they played all hope is gone live
It's my favorite song on the album and one of the few that's good! Underrated song!
Thank you, sir.
I saw them in Indianapolis in 08, setlist was heavy af, Paul and Joey were still with em, epic tour!
20:15 Paul's guturals 🥺
AHIG is such underrated era
All hope is gone live!!!
28:32 I love this !!
I was right up front at this show with my ex gf. From the camera’s perspective I’m way further right though lol. Fucking legendary show.
Another opportunity of dvd
Best psychosocial live ever
Should have honestly used this for the Reissue
Later half of the video, towards the song Duality, you'll fully notice Sid the DJ had broken both his ankles during this live performance.
Corey sounds insane here.
so iconic in every way
When you get August 26th tattooed but the album came out the 20th. Lol
14:21 🚁🚁
Jim fucking Root! Always killing it.
What I'd do with a time machine: Go back in time and watch UA-cam's most recommended Slipknot shows😂
Esse show foi mt louco, esses são alguns motivos
-surfacing sendo a primeira música da setlist sendo tocada sendo que geralmente ela é a última
-spit it out sem jupdafuckup
-pela primeira vez tocaram all hope is gone(e meus amigos...que obra prima)
Primeira e única vez que tocaram all hope is gone 😢 queria que tocassem wherein lies continue, this cold black e gematria
This was probably the only time Mick used his green Ibanez live.
Guess he didn't really like it all that much.
Seeing this makes me miss joey and paul.
30:21 I think that's the last time we see sid before his injury. At 30:53 on the left you can see someone who looks like sid but they're standing up.
awesome show if you weren't there you miss out
Last real SlipKnoT era,RIP SlipKnoT 1995-2010
That's because Paul died. Everything changed after that. The Slipknot we knew died on May 24, 2010
Yeah last time I saw them was at the Dallas date of this festival. 5th and final time.
@@creekandseminole Their most recent shows in the past month are the best since AHIG era. Their shows from 2012 to 2016 were pretty dead. 2019 shows were good but Their most recent shows are fucking epic.
His voice sounds freaking awesome here, this was the first time they played live in 08? Cuz it's sounds fresh ya know real sick!
What's so crazy is they all about hated each other during this era lol
I’m going to see Slipknot later this year in Adelaide, I really hope if they play spit it out they do Jump the fuck up
Queria que eles voltassem a tocar All Hope is Gone ao vivo
Who is also here because Sid Broken the foot
I'm here for the fond memories I have from this tour. It was when I got to work for Sid all day for the Kansas show and the last time I was to ever see Paul.
so at 29:50 sid wilson still there, even a minute after he jump on the drums and shaking them, and went back to his turn table, not limping, and then at 30:33 he's gone, there's also a person at 31:15 but don't know who that was behind the drums.
what i'm trying to say is that did he brake his legs around the time when the camera man turn away, or did he accidentally injure him self off stage or something?
Sparity He broke both his heels then. He finishes the whole tour cycle in a chair though. And now used braces and doesn’t stage dive like he used to.
I broke many winds that night
5:14 el mejor trío
Am I the only one who thinks that at the beginning of all hope is gone, Jim looks like leatherface
The only time where psychosocial is played normaly.
Enrico Demontis it’s much faster and Corey lets the audience sing parts. Kinda ruins the actual atmosphere of the song, as it is slower and more menacing/serious compared to other Slipknot songs
crazy to think i was 14 years old in the middle of this giant fucking crowd.
Lucky little shit you saw them at their peak I only dream of seeing this version of them live
8:27 best corey head bang best drop
RIP.
RIP
I want cory suits
I've never seen these songs played live (Almost half of the album):
.Execute.
Gematria (The Killing Name)
Vendetta
Butcher's Hook
Gehenna
This Cold Black
Wherein Lies Continue
Little do people know this is the show that sid broke his heels it was during g physcosocial that it happen
Wow Corey sings duality's intro
35:37 Sid with his broken feet
