In my country we can buy these for super cheap at the grocery store! I'll try this because I don't really like the neon green color the storebought pandan extract has hehe
Hi can I check if I want to substitute processed pandan extract to home made pandan juice, what is the ratio? For instance 1 tsp of processed pandan extract to 3 tsp of pandan juice? Because I noticed aroma is there but my pandan cookies still look yellow nothing close to pale green so am wondering how to get the colour as in how much of pandan juice should I replace? TIA!
Hello Alicia. Thanks for watching the video. If you are using Pandan Extract from the store, you don't need much. 1 tsp for this recipe should suffice sweetie.
This grows like crazy in Florida with the humidity. It is hard to find the plant. But if you have an Asian grocery store in your area, they have it in the freezer section. I think you have MD oriental in Florida.
No it doesn’t taste like anything really. I use very concentrated home made panda extract for my coconut waffles and you don’t taste it at all. You just get a beautiful aroma. It’s very nice. Hope you try it! And the green chlorophyll is very healthy too!
I think the 2 most used flavors for Asian Dessert are Pandan and Ube. I never used Taro extract before. Pandan has a beautiful fragrant note which is why they call is the Asian Vanilla. The Ube is hard to describe but I don't think either one of them adds a lot of flavor but more the aroma and essence of it. Hope that even makes sense. I hope you get to try both!
The most underrated leaf recipe.
It really is! I have like 10 Pandan plants in my back yard and I want MORE :)

It feels so good to use a raw ingredient in its almost pure form.
This looks so good! Thanks!
Hope you like it if you make one, Sweetie 😍
I can smell it from here! I think I need to learn how to plant pandan too 😅
Yes! It’s a lovely plant. I’m obsessed 🤣🤣❤️

Where can I buy this plant? Will it grow in Florida?

Tree Amigo's in Davie has it!
Is allowing the extract to settle what finally gives it the pungent pandan smell and intense color?
Yes, you are absolutely correct@ Once settled, the remaining liquid is super green and the aroma is amazing.
Does pandan extract taste bitter?

Why can't I use the extract the next day after I let it sit?
You can use it. I let it sit in refrigerator overnight.
