They both have a tenor voice in a Essex accent when singing, Graham is slightly higher though, he can do a totally different style if you listen to the end of the fucking world soundtrack he did, he sings in a baritone bluesy way.
If you compare their solo work, they’re miles apart. As much as I admire Albarn, Coxon’s extensive library of solo work is a treasure, to me at least. Although, the Blur leads to Coxon path I went was similar to the RHCP leads to John Frusciante, so maybe I just have a type 😁
I’m an old lady who was a fan in the 90’s. It’s a very sad song about Graham’s struggles with alcoholism. The people bopping around in the audience piss me off. BTW, Graham painted the cover of the album 13
What can I say? I've been listening to this song a lot and think it's just fantastic!!!! I could listen to it for hours!!!!! Never ever could Oasis have written such profound lyrics!!!! I do empathise with Graham Coxon and can relate to his problems since I'm an introvert myself and, being extremely shy, have always struggled to socialise and make friends with other people. I do know that withdrawing into yourself is not the solution, but you cannot help doing that when your heart is broken because nobody wants you in their lives. Everybody is always picking on you, getting you wrong, labelling you as someone you are not and will not understand that all you need is just love, as the Beatles sang, and somebody to rely on when you're in need and in the doldrums. This is why I'm petrified at the mere thought of meeting other people and talking to them. So shy am I that I cannot even hold my peers, parents and relatives' gaze without going beetroot and bursting into laughter. Unfortunately, society will not sympathise with introverts (how I wish it would!!!!) and therefore they always end up being marginalised, which is a shame since they're sensitive and have lots of good qualities. That's why I'll never ever get tired of listening to it.
there's a lot of songs (deeper maybe) noel writes that have a fuckin meaning, that are fuckin deep, but i just can appreciate both bands and i really dont wanna waste my time searchin this songs for someone whos just butthurting and being blind/deaf to one of the best UK bands from history. maybe someday you'll find it. as you were!
It gets easier Giuseppe. I used to be painfully shy etc and people would take advantage of that or think i was half baked ! Real friends will see the real you and help you express yourself easier etc. Thing is, you`re probably almost their pal!! Hang on and try not to worry about other peoples opinions so much.Good Luck Champ!
He always looks so happy that he has got through this song. Everyone else lives for the chorus and he is just glad he didn’t mess it up. “Sociability is hard enough for me”

@@docsavage8640 that is not how he strings it. The string snaps when he is playing the solo. You can see it happen and he pulls it away from the guitar.

I never actually knew that Graham sang lead vocals on this one! He and Damon sound quite similar to me.

Totalmente diferente. Esta musica combina com o tom do graham. Damon é mais performatico mané frontman graham é introspectivo

Graham's smile after his guitar string broke 😅
I love how Damon always gets everyone to show Gra the love
one of my favorite Blur songs

“ is it my imagination or have I finally found something worth living for” you just don’t think it’s profound cuz it ain’t by a southerner
This performance serves as a reminder that I can play my electric guitar even without that 5th string
2:42 onwards,
Graham strums the guitar and the solo goes like "boing bo-yooing" in a completely different manner, whoaaa
There’s definitely plenty of contenders for my favourite Blur song, but I think Coffee and TV edges all of them out!
The best melody n that baseline!
Yeah
played the song with a broken string and didnt even miss a beat!
Anyone in 2024?
Gretings from Brazil!!
Graham looks like Damon here.
No he doesn't.
Maybe
@@johnbarrett7306 no not "maybe" it's a firm and simple NO.
Not remotely
All British people look the same
3:47 That Graham’s smile☺️

que canción por dios! me encanta cuando dejan de decir "we can start over again" y siguen tocando 4:20
I WANNA BE THE MIC
Amo a Blur ♥️
Yo
Do you feel like a chain-store
Practically floored
One of many zeros
Kicked around bored
Your ears are full, but you're empty
Holding out your heart
To people who never really
Care how you are
So give me coffee and TV
Easily
I've seen so much, I'm going blind
And I'm brain-dead virtually
Sociability
Is hard enough for me
Take me away from this big bad world
And agree to marry me
So we can start over again.
Do you go to the country
It isn't very far
There's people there who'll hurt you
'Cause of who you are
Your ears are full of their language
There's wisdom there you're sure
'Till the words start swirling/slurring
And you can't find the door
So give me coffee and TV
Easily
I've seen so much, I'm going blind
And I'm brain-dead virtually
Sociability
Is hard enough for me
Take me away from this big bad world
And agree to marry me
So we can start over again
So give me coffee and TV
Peacefully
I've seen so much, I'm going blind
And I'm brain-dead virtually
Sociability
Is hard enough for me
Take me away from this big bad world
And agree to marry me
So we can start over again
We can start over again
We can start over again
We can start over again
We can start over again
I think it’s “easily”
Yes it is “easily”
I always thought it was "Please hurry" but doesn't sound at all like it here lol :D
@@ChainNonSmoker They changed the lyrics at different gigs I'm guessing
That was one of best bassline of all-time !( beside muse's hysteria !🤩
and Duran Duran Hold back the rain.... and....
not even alex’s best bassline. girls & boys tops this any day
The little smile and point at 5:20 make me happy on the darkest of days lol
The best Blur song!!!!
Playing without the 5th string, hahahaha well done.
The A or the B?

Graham don't need no A string !
Eu amo esse som, mano.
Never noticed the bass line until I heard the live version
i love graham so much
I might have gone to this. Then again, I might not have. Certainly went to at least 2 blur gigs in the 90s.
Book ‘‘em Danno
I miss classic blur
I miss Blur in general. Maybe when Damon finishes his next album for TGTB&TQ he can get back with the others.

Amazing song about alcoholism
