How to Make Chimichurri: The Best Sauce Ever Created

  • My cousin recently requested a video on how to make my Chimichuri sauce. Well I have made it 3 different ways and I don't remember which way I did it for her. So here is 3 great ways to do Chimichurri.
    Fancy Restaurant Style:
    Ingredients:
    1/4 Bunch parsley
    1/2 bunch oregano
    1/2 bunch chives or onions
    2 cloves garlic
    3oz Sherry Vinegar or red wine Vinegar
    1 Cup mayo
    1/2 of the juice of a lemon
    1/2 tsp Red chili flake
    Salt and pepper to taste
    Directions:
    1. pick oregano leaves and discard stems
    2. In a blender, blend all the herbs, chili flakes, and garlic smooth.
    3. In a mixing bowl, combine mayo, herb puree, and sherry vinegar
    4.Season with lemon juice, salt and pepper.
    Traditional:
    Ingridients:
    1/2 cup olive oil
    2 tablespoons Red Wine Vinegar
    1/2 cup Parley leaves finely choped
    3 Cloves garlic finally minced
    red chili flakes to your desired heat
    3/4 teaspoon dried oregano
    1 teaspoon coarse salt
    1/2 teaspoon pepper
    Directions:
    Combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly, breaking down any leaves that need to be smaller.

    Ingredients:
    Al Frugoni's Chimichurri BBQ Rub
    salt and pepper
    red wine vinegar
    olive oil
    Directions:
    shake into a bowl as much Al Frugoni chimichurri rub that you plan to use. Add Red Wine Vinegar, olive Oil, salt and pepper, and adjust to taste.
