This is simply marvelous. The Dance In American series was such a gem. You got to see all the greats by just sitting in your living room. Thanks again for the upload.
Peter Martins had it all! It has been too painful for me to follow ballet for many, many years, but I am trying to reclaim parts of my life that once brought me joy. If reincarnation is true,, maybe in another life I'll be a Balanchine girl, as was my sweet friend Linda Y.
I understand how you feel. I quit ballet. It was so painful for me to watch a ballet concert for over 25 years. I am also reclaiming my passion for ballet. Peter Martins had it all. It is really sad to see 2 great partnership that ended acrimoniously. I still don't understand to this day. Love this ballet!
Thanks so much! I looked up the entire video series of Balanchine on Dance in America and it is incredibly expensive now, nearly $300 for the set- I hope it will show up somewhere here...There was an upload but it was hopelessly out of sync with the music and audio... :-(
