Near the end with that casualty, always have 360 security. From playing different shooters and sims like Arma, that empty space behind you that was clear 2 seconds ago is no longer clear. Murphy's law in action, otherwise great episode, so happy there was a lot of lore this video, your readings are always nice to listen to
8:45 "Phoenix might get getting at bit stir crazy" Bowmen at the shooting range. "My violence quota could use some work...Ah go time, excellent" And I have realized an error with my counting, that medal wasn't +5 Order of Gallantry that is the +10 Order of Merit. So before combat hits Bowmen is at 4+10 Kills. 27:43 Risky placement. Bowmen: "I knew the risks asking for a shotgun, I regret nothing" 38:20 "Eyyyy--Awww" 7+10 kills Bowmen is doing MUCH better than I thought he would. "Outgunned, out-numbered, but not out-willed"
I loved how you stated you needed to save more people, only to nuke one a few seconds later. Perhaps in these kind of mission trying a tactics involving more grenades and smoke to advance quicker. And aim to kill fast rather than capping. I think you get more money in the long run for saving people than what you get for corpses.
I'm always hesitant to rely on smoke too much because the RNG can turn on you in a heartbeat. Advancing more aggressively while relying so heavily on RNG just feels like a recipe for a bad time. :)
@@RetconRaider Those who are about to die.....geronimo! Jokes aside I have been trying the tactict when a more swift movement is needed. From Guardian suits and with a Mars to give me new entrances or massive destruction when needed, my death rate is managable.
@@eriklagerborg5056 A Mars unit would definitely help. I kept trying to budget it in earlier, but the price hikes on other essentials made it tough to justify. Unfortunately that's been the biggest negative factor, I think, in where we're at now. They hiked prices pretty heavily in Milestone 4, but didn't really give any additional sources of funding until a later (non-retroactive) patch.
You'll have to build completely new Interceptors. And there is a third tier for both the Interceptors and the Dropship you will someday be able to research. You're not even halfway through the tree, or the game.
"Seymore! The parking lot is on fire!"
"No mother, that's just the northern lights."
30:33 He got SO SO lucky there. If you'd have picked the left rear instead of right for cover he'd have been in the blast pattern.

oof, that civilian casualty at 25:59
Yeah, I legit thought those things were basically impervious. I've seen them eat a lot of punishment in the past. :)
That timing. Chef’s kiss.
RR:”We need to rescue more people”
*proceeds to liberate someone off their mortal coil*
True salvation
A quick death vs "whatever happens when they get taken by aliens". If I had to choose, I'd take the salsa. Still RIP Civy
Better dead than whatever they do to them...
Great episodes as always! Thanks!

On your question of upgraded interceptors, you’ll have to build new ones unfortunately. Still, could use the old ones for the listening posts!
Ah, I was afraid of that. But yeah, we'll still have uses for the older ones. :)
38:15: Yes, if a soldier passes out and has an Automed, they will revive immediately.
🔥🔥🔥
Says "we need to rescue more people" and immediately blows one up into pieces! I just hope he'll never show any intentions of rescuing me!
I mean, 'rescue' is a relative term...
Ahem. :|
Great episode
Looks like you keep forgetting the Sebs can see right through smoke 😂 !
Can they? I recall it mentioning they had poor eyesight, but I don't recall it saying anything about them being able to see through smoke. D:
@@RetconRaider if they copied them over from X1, which is likely, then yes, they have full infravision and ignore smoke.
@@targe762 That's a big maybe, since some of the other creatures carried over were notably nerfed. Removing the Wraith teleportation, for example. :)
@@RetconRaider Seb infravision never made them OP, was just annoying, and they have their regen still ( which Can be OP at times...) so I doubt it.

If only the cannuck was here for better launcher shots . Could of saved a few rounds
Build "Dragonfly"
