For Today's Final Show / Mattie's Farewell Speech / Bitter Roots w/lyrics

For Today played their final show in Dallas, Texas on December 18, 2016. I had the privilege of seeing them off. So here's a short tribute to one of the best bands ever. Thank you for standing tall for our Lord Jesus and being a light in the dark!. The only full song I captured was "Bitter Roots". I captioned it here for clarity. The best song of the evening for me was "Crown of Thorns", but I was too into it to record.

Agreed JWC. Now I hear Sleeping Giant is calling it quits next year. Actively looking for more hardcore that's all about praise. Not just "christian" bands... but bands that shout this stuff unapologetically... or I guess I should say apologetically. :)

I also had the privilege of seeing them, just before they finished. They do leave a hole in the form of dispassion. So much heart in the words of each and every song. Blessed to have been able to go out and see them. I saw them for the first time on their third to last show, but have been a fan since I was 13 or 14, 23 going on 24 right now. Crazy, really.
