Hello. Yes, I really hope that the car will be on the road before too long! Lacking time and a little extra energy right now. Luckily got my e-Golf back on the road again. As much as I've driven in the last month, it's good to save a little on fuel and tolls! Electric cars are much cheaper to use here in Norway! I'm considering buying a turbo controller now. Found one that was reasonable enough for me to try that solution first! Thank you very much for all the good thoughts! Greeting Paul
Hello. In Norway, we had 3 versions of the 120 PRADOs. Land Cruiser: Manual climate control VX: Air conditioning with its own LCD panel. GX: Climate inside NAV LCD unit. I have a video with differences between these models here: ua-cam.com/video/m_2uzThIWec/v-deo.html Greeting Pål (Paul)
@@bildillamagasin nice. Mine is closest to the GX you show there, but no "cold weather package". No Idle up, no 2nd battery (mine is petrol, 1GRFE). My AC is leaking but no visible trace. Might have to take out the dash to investigate it
@@largerification Hello again. I have heard that many people have struggled with leakage on pipes for the AC in the back seats of GXs here in Norway. Then they talked about the pipes going under the car, I think I remember.
@@largerification Yes, here in cold Norway, we almost only have diesel versions. And then it will soon be necessary to have all winter accessories :) I would not have survived the winters with only one battery here, with temperatures down to -40-50 celcius in several high-altitude places.
After I installed the new stereo, the car ran out of electricity within 24 hours! There must be something wrong with the wiring or the stereo is not working. Now I have to start looking for errors here too. 🙄
Hi, I just replaced my headunit reasently, and after the replacement the head light alarm sound have stopped when I turn the truck off and forget to turn of the lights, resulting in flat battery. Any ideas? Guess it's has a relationship with the headunit swap 😊
Good day! Yes, it didn't turn out very well for me either. Even with the correct ISO cables, the car drained power! I nett up with disconnecting control signals for electric antenna etc. Had to disconnect 2 wires, and then the car stopped running out of power again. Check out this video I posted about this issue. ua-cam.com/video/oeP9-AriMwI/v-deo.html Greeting Pål (Paul)

Great video Paul!
I hope that you'll solve the problems very soon!🤞
Can't wait to see you on the road!🤩
We'll talk again than!😉

Is your other Prado having the AC controls embedded in the Navigation?
I wonder what are the options in that case.

I actually discovered that I have a better video on how to remove the stereo here:

Takk for ideen.
